IRS refund cycle

That's great, except I don't know if I'll be able to file in early Feburary this year, my due date is Feb. 3 and I'll likely be in the hospital with a lot of other things on my mind! :) I hope the W2's come early this year so I can do them before the baby arrives, but DH's employer always waits until the last possible minute so it's unlikely.

Good luck on the new baby

It will be nice to get it earlier. I only get paid once a month - so my office hands W2's out with the checks. It's waiting for the Bank to send me my info that takes forever.

Every year I file as soon as possible but it's always early Feb by the time all of the forms arrive that I need.

So correct me if I am wrong. I thought you could useyour lastpaycheck stub from 2011 for all the same info off of the W-2? I could be totally wrong I just thought I had heard that before :confused3

Just was thinking that this could help some of those who get there W-2's late.

Not always. Our W-2 is always several thousand different from the last paycheck because of pre-tax/post tax deductions.

You can, or you can go to w2 express a lot of company have them listed there.

hopefully there won't be a huge mix up like last year...we got our tax refund 6 weeks late!!!! (along with 1000's of others)

Hopefully the W2s/interest statements start rolling in...I've only got 1 so far....I'm waiting on a TON of different things.

It's not just W2s...

Mortgage Interest Statements
1099's
Bank Statements
Daycare Statements
Investment Statements

All these immediately come to my mind. I usually end up filing around the middle of Feb.

Even if all you get is W2s, I'd want to make sure the W2 (what your employer files with the IRS) matches what I'm putting on my tax form (so I wouldn't trust a "last pay stub").

I haven't received one tax paper yet. Hope to get it done the first week of Feb.

I hope we get our W2s with this week's pay. I e-file (TurboTax) the same day I get my W2s. Last year, I had my federal refund before the end of January! I would LOVE for it to be the same this year --- I have a couple of car repairs needed as well as medical bills that I need to pay (and bills, bills, bills!!)

good to know. want to get my done early this year as soon as i get the papers. last year was complicated so hopefully this year will be much easier.

NOT SOON ENOUGH!!! When that DD hits my account... look out airline and Disney websites... I'll be booking our fall trip!!!!
