Iron-on newbie question.

What am I doing wrong? I bought Avery stretch iron-ons. I Ironed for what seemed an eternity and the image still did not transfer completely. I was on the counter with a pillow case. Iron set to cotton. It recommended thirty second circluar sections. Peel when cool to the touch. Is it the stretch transfers or my technique. Any tips on how to do this easier.

I need help too! I bought the avery t-shirt transfers for dark colored shirts, and I had the same problems. They didn't stick at all. I did get 2 of them to stick well enough to wear the shirts, but then when I washed them, it was a disaster.
I used a different kind of transfer from you. Maybe it's they kind that we are using?

I think its something with the stretch transfers. I've tried using them and had the exact same thing happen to me. I've used other transfers and they worked fine but I can not seem to get those stretch ones to work.

I should have known not to try and get fancy with the stretch transfers on my first try. This is starting to get expensive. I made the mistake of printing out all my transfers before I tried apply one (all that ink ) Oh well. My husband better like these shirts.

ooo, so sad that you are having trouble. I have never tried the stretch transfers for that simple reason..I am a big chicken when it comes to trying something new. It was a big step for me to even attempt the transfers...

I am not giving up. I went and got plain Avery transfers. I am going to do it on our coffee table so I get more pressure. This time I will only print out one at a time. Keeping my fingers crossed

It worked!!! I did 6 shirts front and back and they turned out great. I guess it was the stretch tranfers. I also put a lot more pressure on the transfer. I am already planning my next shirts!
