I just want to say WAR EAGLE!!!! I may live in Illinois now but I was born and raised less than an hour away from Auburn, Alabama!!

Gwen, so this was your first visit to the Fort this month? I liked your picture from the TE porch. So how did it go? What did you learn about the Fort that you will do differently next time?

Now, seems there are many from Alabama (the state) chiming in, I was thinking of organizing a GKTW meet in the Bham~Anniston area, would anyone be interested in coming?

I'll be there with bells on!

Round out the list of Ed's 5-Hole-In-The-Wall-Places-To-Eat in Tuscaloosa, they are Ramma Jamma's (described above), the original Dreamland (ribs, sauce, bread), Archibald's (Coach Bryant got his BBQ here), City Café (meat-and-three: fried green tomatoes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and chicken livers on Fridays), and Nick's In the Sticks (small filet, onion rings, and a red adult beverage called the Nicodemus). How does an establishment get on this list? Be in business for decades, don't change the decore or the menu, no pasta, no pretentions.

And what would Iron Bowl week be without an Auburn joke? (meant in good humor).

This one is lifted from a Bama website....

A guy goes into a bar and asks the bartender if he wants to hear a good Auburn joke. The bartender says, "Before you tell it, you should know that I am 6-2 and weigh 225 and I'm an Auburn fan.

See that guy at the end of the bar? He's 6-4 and weighs 250 and he's an Auburn fan, too.

According to the time stamp on your post it's after midnight when you posted. Was that when you were able to peel yourself off the ceiling and celebrate the big win? Wow!

I thought Bama would bring all three units to the game (offense, defense, special teams) but special teams/kicking didn't get off the bus, did they? If you had told me before the game I could get Auburn at only 28 points, I would have taken it. But I did not foresee that the kicker would be a head case and the coaching staff would make a few questionable calls.

This might have to replace the "Punt Bama Punt" in the pantheon of Auburn wins. You and Richard/SinceDay1 should be excited. Auburn moves on to Mizzou next week and it should be a good one.

Well Ed, et al,

The Iron Bowl is over. The SEC Championship is over. Auburn was victorious in both. It's been a mighty good year so far for AU. I'd like a crack at FSU. I figure them to beat Duke (with a pretty good year of their own). I'm pulling for Mich St. (our best chance.)

Another great game, I hope to see AU in the BCS championship game and keep the title in Alabama and the SEC.
