iPad Photo Apps

[Crashdown]

I've been trying to achieve the Orton Effect with different iPad apps. I haven't had much luck. Most of them don't offer the tools needed for the layers, opacity, etc. The only one that come close is 'Art Studio'. But it doesn't have opacity settings -that I can find-. So I have some questions:

Do you use your Ipad for anything like this or are you waiting for the tech to catch up?
What, if any, photos editing apps do you use?
If you do use a few - which is the most full featured one?

Snapseed seems pretty nice. I haven't used it yet. It was free for a limited time so I downloaded it without thinking if I needed it or not lol

My personal opinion is that it will never catch up. The market for it is just so small. Tablets are primarily consumption devices where desktops and laptops are creation devices. The money is not there either. Not many people are willing to pay $100 for a full featured tablet app and people like Adobe are never going to give their good technology away for a couple bucks a user.

I use many apps for photo editing and last semester when my laptop died and along with it my Photoshop I finished my final portfolio for my photography class on my ipad.

I have a lot of apps the ones I use most often

Filterstorm Pro ** the most $$ app but the best for basic editing

100Cameras

Dynamic Light

TouchUp / ColorSplash

Photo Fixer

TiltShiftGen

I have a lot more, apps aren't like Photoshop they tend to do one small thing but if it is the right app it does that thing really well and is very user friendly. I made all the edits my professor wanted in my digital photography class and got an A after I had been cut off from Photoshop. It was good for me because it showed me that I can just bring my ipad when I travel and still be able to get a lot of photo stuff done. I think we are a ways away form a Photoshop app but I have a lot of fun using these. I have gotten my laptop fixed but no longer feel so dependent on it.
