That's where I went to undergrad!!!! The best college EVER.

I was in undergrad from '88-'92 -- got my Master's at the University of Virginia -- then I returned and was the Associate Director of Residence Life from '99-'02.

The Student Affairs staff there right now is so fantastic. I hope your son loves it!!!

Former Iowan here. Grew up about 30 miles north of Ames, went to Buena Vista in Storm Lake, first teaching job was in Marathon, and lived in West Des Moines for many years.

I don't live there now, but I spent the first 13 years of my life in Oelwein. It is about 40 miles from Waterloo. Iowa is a great place to live...although it does get a lot of snow!

Thank you!!!! There are a lot of western Iowa folks that cheer for Nebraska, my parents lived in Sioux City for 10 years and I saw a lot of Big Red displays.

Council Bluffs!?!? That's where most of my family is from, that and Omaha. Never thought I'd hear people say that area. I'm a Florida native, but my dad's family all still live up there and my dad is from there.
