What are the roller coasters at IofA? How are they? My boyfriend would like to go there, because he has heard that the rollercoasters are comparable to Cedar Point in Ohio. Is this true? How do they compare to Sea World's Kracken and Disney's Rock'N'Roller Coaster. Do they have anything like Disney's Tower of Terror? I know I have a ton of questions, but I have never been there and crave information. Can you do just IofA in a day?

We did IOA in one day. You won't see absolutely everything though.
The rollercoasters are pretty good. I've never been to Ohio so I can't compare.
Hulk and Duelling Dragons are superb - big thrill value coasters. Dr Doom's fearfall is similar to TOT. IMO TOT is better but DDF is good too.
Spiderman is quite unique and well worth a try. Also Jurassic Park is an excellent water ride as is Dudley Do-right.
We also enjoyed the Poseidon show.

IOA coasters are in the same class as Cedar Point.Although CP has about 12 more coasters than IOA has.

I think Dueling Dragons and Hulk are better than almost all of Cedar Point's coasters (the exception being Millenium Force).

Its hard to compare IOA to Cedar Point. The Point seems to be more coaster oriented.Lacking in the themeing department.Where as IOA is more into themeing and a great mix of rides. To me IOA is like the total package.

The Hulk has 7 inversions in 1.5 minutes. Dueling Dragons' thrill is how close the 2 coaster come together. My kids loved them, especially the Hulk. My favorite is R&R at MGM.

IOA is possible in a day if the park is not too crowded or you make use of FOTL or Universal Express.

I loved R&R at MGM, and I am not a coaster rider! You say Hulk has 7 inversions... do you really feel them? I did not even feel the inversion on R&R! :) Compare Hulk to R&R for me please.I want to know if I should attempt it or not
Thanks!
Sandy

r&r is really just about the launch. so is the hulk. well-more or less. the launch is a lot less intence. but it is followed by a great 0-g roll. all you feel is weightlessness. the coaster is GREAT!!

bring the hulk on!

I will definitely have to watch for awhile before I attempt the Hulk!!!
Thanks!
Sandy

I think the Hulk is way better than R&R.The Hulk is a lot more intense then R&R.You will defeinetly feel every inversion it has to offer. Also it being so dark inside R&R makes the ride a little disoriented and a lot of the times it doesnt feel like your upside down.

It's really impossible to compare the quality of the rides at IOA to Cedar Point. While the Point's objective is "pack as much thrill as possible into a limited space", Universal is more geared towards theming and overall experience. That being said the thrill value of the coasters at IOA is as good or better than the point, and the theming, especially on Dueling Dragons, is way better.
