We've recently relocated to Florida so this was our first trip to any of the parks as locals and we had a great time. In large part to all of the tips that I learned on this board.

We went against the advice of many on the board and tackled WWoHP first. That worked well for us because my children are 7 & 6 yr old HP fans and seeing it from afar all day was simply not going to work. But when we go again (which won't be until the fall) we'll probably save the best for last.

We rented a locker at the Port of Entry and b/c we were not staying on site it served as a home base.

WWoHP was moderately crowded. The Ollivander's line seemed quite long so we aborted that idea & have something new to look forward to on our next trip.

Our FJ wait was about 45 minutes, starting at 9:10. I was slightly worried I wouldn't fit but at 5'5" and 240 lbs, I was able to get into a regular seat w/ plenty of room to spare.

My kids are 48" & 52" and thrill seekers so they were too short for Dragon Challenge but disappointed by the junior coaster. My husband liked his Butter Beer cold, while me and the kiddos like it frozen. Forgot that the AAA discount doesn't work at the carts but it wasn't worth the $2 to wait inside.

Seussland was great fun. We walked onto everything but the Seuss Trolly which was having some kind of mechanical difficulty thus a 30 min wait.

The Flyers ride was fun but a lengthy wait, while we walked onto the River Adventure ride. The kids loved running thru the park & mines, the temp was perfect and it gave them a chance to run as opposed to walk and stand.

Ate a great meal at Thunder Falls. Very reasonably priced, good quality & quantity for theme park food. Am so glad we didn't do the meal deal as we spent less than $50 and didn't have the time or desire for another full meal. Much less a crappy one. We probably spent another $30 in snacks and beverages (we did bring a couple of bottles of water into the park) so well below the $100 we had budgeted for.

The water rides were lots of fun. The Dudley Do Right was one of the more intense flume rides I've ever been on. We went back to POE to the lockers and changed after getting the drenching we knew was coming on the Pop Eye ride.

After that we went to Marvel Island where we walked on to Dr Doom & the TeaCup like ride, waited 25 minutes for Spider Man and trekked back to our car.

We've got a Grinch fan so we are thinking that a Christmas trip is in order. And with the unlimited express pass offered to on site guests we will probably bite the bullet and stay the night next time.

Thanks again to all you experts out there. My husband laughs at the amount of energy I put into even the smallest excursion but we were all happy campers because of it!

Seems like you had a good time. We are going for the first time in June. One question, did anyone get motion sickness from FJ or any of the other rides?
