Hold It Right There>>>>Hand That Thing To Me Butt First!!!
Alright we made it through our first full day in the world.
Since we stayed out sooo late last night, we decided to sleep in again this morning and head to Hollywood Studios. This is not our favorite park, so we are OK with not being here for the rope drop.
While waiting on the boat to DHS, DD says, “Daddy, I need to potty”. Yep, her and I head back upstairs to remedy the situation.

DD finishes up with the paperwork and we begin to head downstairs so I call BG to find out that they are on the boat just pulling away from the boardwalk. Looks like it is going to be a race to the Studios, boat or walk. DD & I make a circle between the giftshop and the lobby before we finally get started heading in the correct direction. We get to the entrance just as the boat pulled up to the dock. We win!!
As soon as we get through the turntables we have to wait for the girls and Jon, of course, for a pit stop. While we are looking in the direction of the facilities I hear in a very loud and stern voice, “HOLD IT, HOLD IT RIGHT THERE”, I instinctively hit the deck and spread eagle on the ground. Then I hear, “Hand that to me butt first.” DD says “Daddy what are you doing?” I get up and notice the cop talking to a kid.
This funny young boy decides to play hard to get and makes about 3 laps around his dad before the cop can catch him. I guess the massive size of his horse made it hard for the cop to maneuver around the boy's dad.
The officer finally gets the weapon from the juvenile and fights with it for about 2 minutes before he dislodges what he expects to be a bullet. He then announces that this young man is a stuntman. He kinda fusses with them asking why didn’t you tell me you were a stuntman. Then he says “I am officer Duncan Donut, he is a stuntman and I have everything under control.”
Another pic of Officer Duncan Donut and his massive horse.
After this freighting encounter with the law we decide to get ressies at 50’s PT.
While waiting on our food we were attempting to get ADRs for dinner but everything was booked up. Tonight is the last showing of Fantasmic for a while, so I guess everybody was doing the same thing as us. "Cuzin Sue" overheard us attempting to make ressies so she got someone to come to our table to help. A nice young man (manager, I guess) came to our table and talked with us for a minute and SG told him she wanted ressies at H&V for that afternoon. He came back to the table and told SG she had ressies at H&V for 5pm.
Service was great and the food was pretty good too. “Cuzin Sue” was giving me a hard time and told me I should wait my turn to order or I would be sent to the corner. DD loved this idea.
DD got a hot dog, I got the Pot Roast, very good, BG got a burger with fries and a little ketchup. He was glad to see it on the table and not have to ask for any. DD and LM both got the ice cream to decorate for desert while CL ate the smores.
CL's salad
BG and his ketchup
DD ice cream
CLs smores
I don't know what Jon ordered but LB loved it
LB really liked Jon's desert.
Maybe too much.
Now onto TOT. We get to the gate and the CM threatens to hang Flora, until DD comes unglued on her.
We make it all the way till where you get to the first room with the movie when DD decides that she may not want to ride it this year, then she got mad at me because I said we need to go back out through the “chicken” line. She told CL “Daddy called me a chicken”. Can you say “doghouse”? She does let me go on RnR with the rest of the Bushwackers. This is a first time for me. Now I don’t think I care about SM anymore. It is so smooooooth.
We will meet them at after show for dinner at H&V. Only CL, DD and I are eating at H&V. The food wasn’t bad but the service was by far the worst we experienced at Disney. After we finished eating it took 30 minutes for the waitress to get our check to us. We have time to kill while waiting for Fantasmic so CL & DD want to see Beauty & The Beast. CL & DD loved the show, I thought it was ok. Disney does an awesome job with the costumes and the production.
Just enough time to get to Fantasmic. The show was like no other show I have seen before. We are so glad to have the chance to see it this year. This is the first time we have seen this show. Well worth fighting the crowds.
