Hello! Has anyone or is anyone planning on O'hana for dinner after their Intimate??? I am planning taking all of us (18-20 ppl) for dinner after our 2:30 PM ceremony. I have heard other brides talk about calling Narcoosee's and Citrico's directly rather than WDW DINE for reservations, but not O'hana. Does anyone have the direct line to O'hana or know how all this works??? I know from working in WDW reservations that they can't always guarantee that large parties will be seated together, but if you speak w/ the restaurant directly can they arrange that? I'm figuring on one of the earliest seatings to make it easier.....
Anyone?
Thanks!!!
Okay...the problem I am having...my fiance wants to have dinner at Hoop Dee Doo Revue...which I haven't seen yet (59 more days! ), but I don't have the heart to tell him that I don't want to. We're getting married at SBP, and I really want to wear my dress (at least I think I do) for more than just 2 hours. I don't know if this is me wanting to get attention or what, but HDDR doesn't sound like it'll be a great after wedding thing - definitely doesn't sound like something you would (or should) wear a wedding dress to!
Anybody else have thoughts or comments on this? Any good restaurant suggestions close to SBP?
That was our dilemma, as well. Thanks to the incredible helpfulness of the CM at WDW Dine, we found ourselves pleasantly surprised with a wonderful wedding lunch at the Concourse Steakhouse. I hadn't thought of it before, as an option.
We took the monorail from the Grand Floridian which was so much fun, and we got a great photo. Upon exiting the monorail, we were met with a huge cheer and rounds of applause! A magical wedding moment! We felt like movie stars!
The staff was super attentive, the restaurant practically empty at first seating, and they treated us like royalty. The food was delicious and everyone got to pick what they wanted. We will definitely eat there again on our next trip!

Just FYI, the Concourse Steakhouse is closing this summer, and Chef Mickey's is expanding into its space. A new Asian-fusion restaurant will go in on the bottom level of the Contemporary.
We did not have a private room (I don't think they have one). We were seated in the back of the restaurant and there was 11 of us. The manager recommended 5:30 pm (we had a 3:00 pm ceremony) so they could set the table for us. We had custom menu's that we worked on before the wedding, we just removed the lobster and prime steak. Our names were on the menu and no prices. The staff did a great job. We were there for a good 2 1/2 hours.
Has anyone out there eaten at Ohana in their wedding attire?? I am so lost as to where I would like to eat after the ceremony, I would like to stay close by the poly or gf because we are wanting to book a wishes fireworks cruise, I have never been to Ohanas before but I am giving it some thought, so if anyone has let me know. I am spending so much $$ for this beatiful dress and I would like to get a little wear out of it, although knowing my luck I'd probably drop some food on it or something.
We did California Grill. It had something for everyone and everyone looooved it. The food was amazing! We had the custom menus, and we ordered dessert from the GF bakery. The view is awesome. The best part was Wishes from the balcony.
The only thing I'd do differently is figure a polite way where I didnt have to pay for everyone's drinks. We figured in plenty of wine but some were having liquor and I nearly had a heart attack when I got the bill. It was double.
Thank you very much for your advice I think I have definately decided on narcoossees, what dessert did you get from GF bakery I like that idea but there is so much to choose from. yeah not sure what I am going to do about drinks hoping that if I buy wine everyone will be happy enough with that.

We did the Cinderella slippers. I reeaaaaaally wanted them, California Grill too care of it for me, I just told them I wanted those instead of the Creme Brulee they were going to serve and they ordered and had them delivered. I think it was $8 more per person ontop of the dinner price...
I think the wine would've worked if they hadnt gotten there a little early and were hanging over in the bar and starting to drink, then when we went to our table, they just continued and it was then added to our bill...
