Is there a restaurant you have tried that was really disappointing?

Is there any ride/attraction you do just because you're there, but that you really don't love that much?

No, somedays we dont even ride any rides.


What's the most you spent on a disney dinner? Was it worth it?

$250 for 2 of us, and yes, it was worth it

'Ohana dinner.....believed the hype and suffered through the worst meal we've had at any restaurant, WDW or real-world, in years. You couldn't get me back in there if it was free.

Is there a restaurant that you tried, not expecting much, that you really enjoyed or it became a favorite?

I can't remember the exact name but the Norway bakery in Epcot. First time we had the Dining Plan, we decided to try it and it was a great option : sandwich, soup, dessert and beverage. Now, they don't have soup any longer but the sandwichs are still some of the best on Disney property. Plus, the cast members are so friendly. You have to try it!

What do you answer when people are saying : Disney, again?

11 - Some of it did, but no not really.


Have you been to the Christmas party? Did you have a good time?

Yes! We usually go to the party in November right after Thanksgiving This year even though the party was sold out was still magical! Love walking on Main St with the snowflakes falling! We had a GREAT time!!

So when is your next trip?

Next trip is May 16-19, a quick, kid-free trip for SWW and our anniversary.

If WDW were closing forever, what would be at the top of your "to do" list?

none.............have never been and no plans to go for that

What is your MK touring plan?

Meriweather.....congrats on the grandbaby! Just noticed your ticker. How exciting!!

We go at slower times and spend two full days at MK, so our touring plan isn't very rigid. We always get a 8:00 ADR at CP on our first MK day then head into Adventureland from there and loop around counterclockwise. No real reason, just a habit. The spitting camels and the tikis make us smile. On our second MK day, we do the RD show then head for the mountains, Splash and BTMRR first then on to Space, picking up FPs as needed. Last time, my DSs for some reason had an uncharacteristic interest in princesses, so we picked up a princess FP at the town theater then went to see Merida first then on to our other favorites. Not sure what the FLE will do to our plan in November....

What's your favorite "new" (new or refurbished) attraction at WDW in the last five years? Why that one?

I really like the addition of the queue at HM.....and the new hitch hiking ghosts at the end......just something new and a bit different.

At what age would you recommend for a child's first trip.........and what would you do? (thinking ahead )

I know people take babies seemingly straight out of the womb to WDW, but I would wait until the baby is big enough to sit up in a stroller. And be careful of the heat. We started taking our DSs when the youngest was 11 months and he did great! He was big enough to enjoy what he was seeing and not so small that he was simply a hindrance to our touring and riding. He gazed at Piglet like they were soulmates and enjoyed all the attractions. He was happy to sleep in the stroller whenever he needed to, so we just kept going. I spent many rounds on the PeopleMover while he slept too! For us, 11 months was perfect (but we could have easily taken him a couple of months earlier too)!

Do you ride the MK railroad and if so, do you ride it as transportation or as an attraction itself?

Our first trip was when DS was 5... that was the age we decided would be good. We planned it as a very character-centric trip - lots of character dining and meet and greets. We had a couple of simple must dos for each park, like rides we wanted him to experience, parades, etc. We also planned to not be out late one night and up early the next day, take breaks and allow for resting and swimming - it was great! I know we didn't see it all, but can you really ever see it all anyway? We see and do more each time we go back. I think it was the perfect age.

My question (hubby and I disagree somewhat on this): Watch the parades, or take advantage of everyone else watching the parade and hit the rides?

We posted at the same time I think. I will answer your question because we LOVE the railroad! We have used it as transportation a time or two, but it is usually the first (or one of the first) things we do when we get to MK.. ride all the way around! It's classic... and something we do at least 2 or 3 times each trip. Maybe it's cuz we have a little boy, I don't know, but I can't imagine not riding it.

We watch the parades at least once and then do other things the other days in the parks

What is your favorite footwear for a long day on the park?

I love my crocs. Can wear them the whole time, my feet never hurt and who cares if they get wet they dry in seconds.

What is the best month (or your favorite month) to go to the parks?

I like Jan..............well, did. We'll see next year. Last time 2012, there were an awful lot of tour groups.

I have 2 Mickey Ears (one is from Epcot Anniversary) and a Mickey Sailor hat with my name on them and I sure do wear them getting Birthday Mickey ears for my next trip!
