I just got called for an interview tomorrow. I haven't been on an interview in 100 years (Ok maybe not THAT long ;)) and I don't really have much time to prep.

Can you give me an idea of what kind of questions to expect? It's for a position in the same company I already work at, just a different department.

Thanks!!

Why did you apply?
Why should we choose YOU for that job?
What are your best/worst caracteristics? (Hard one :headache:)
What do you expect from that job?
Why are you quitting your old job for this one?
Talk about yourself (pretty tricky one >_<)
And if that can apply Job related questions

Oh they also tend to ask if you have a problem with a co-worker/boss or see them doing something wrong, what would you do?

I went trough like 5-6 interviews this year and all of these questions were asked to me at least twice ^^

Good luck, Be yourself and NEVER LIE! They know when you do >_< And everything should be fine! :goodvibes

I went through a couple of job interviews recently. Here are some questions I was asked.

Favorite job held and why?
Give an example of a difficult situation and how I handled it?
Example of my most rewarding and negative experience and why?
How would you handle internal controversy with a follow employee you did not like?
List of pet peeves? (Thought that was odd and caught me most off guard)
Thing I was proudest about in my work history?
Reasons for changing jobs previously?
Was I okay working overtime?
What is my biggest strength and weakness?
How would I deal with change? (This was a position that you needed to be flexible to find solutions)

Hope these helped.

If you could put another head on Mt Rushmore - who's would it be - and why??
(seriously know someone who had that question!)

Tell me about your greatest work-related accomplishment.
Describe a work situation where you came upon an obstacle and how you overcame it.
Tell me about a project that you've worked on from start to finish.
Tell me what annoys you...and what that would look like (you being annoyed).
Describe your ideal supervisor.

Be yourself...be honest and candid...and smile! Good Luck!! :cheer2:

Most of the interview questions that I can think of have already been posted. The one thing I will say is that don't be afraid to pause and think about how you want to respond. Some people think they need to start answering a questions right away and they shouldn't need to think about it. Obviously don't think about it too long, but do think before you speak.

Thank you all for your responses, it helped me prepare a little. I had my interview, I don't feel that I did my best - but hopefully it works out OK.

Looking back, this is the one thing I wish I could re-do. I rushed into answers right away. I know that led to some rambling & stumbling over my words at times. I also know that I talked too fast (I tend to do that when nervous). So if I had a piece of advice for anyone else...this would be it - pause, think, speak slowly. :thumbsup2
