We are heading down to WDW Dec 10th, since my husband is actually short a little vaca time his boss told him to just sign on every morning to check his emails.

My question is is there a charge for the internet connection at the villas if you are a dvc member and if so what is the charge?

Is there connection at All-Sports (staying there fri and sat nite)

Thanks

34 days and counting

Yes, there is a charge. I believe it is 9.95 per day (a pretty standard charge at most hotels). Not sure if high speed is available at All Stars.

High speed is not available at the AS, but you can dial up for only $.75...just make sure you dial a local number.

Dial-up is 35 cents for members at a DVC resort when staying on points, with a local number (per call). I'm bringing my laptop to BWV next month, I think $9.95 a day is ridiculous. For as much as I'll use it, dialup is OK.

Hmmm...this makes me wonder...

Where does the profit from these internet fees go? Is that a DVD thing or a DVC thing? Just curious how it affects our bottom line.

Anybody have a clue?

FWIW, my DH hates to pay for internet charges...but I will admit that once we forked over that $9.95 per day...we used it a whole lot more than I thought we would!

From what I heard, an outside company runs the internet connection. Hopefully, they paid for the installation, not out of dues.

I'm in a hotel in DC right now using my 9.95 plan. I think i is an incredibly good deal, because not only to I get unlimited high speed Internet, but unlimited local AND long distance (50 states) phone calls. Let me tell you, $9.95 would get eaten up in less than 10 minutes at most hotels!
