I would like to know if there is internet access at the Boardwalk. If so, do they have terminals available, broadband access or something else?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Broadband access is available two different ways.

From the rooms, you can connect via a hard wired connection for $9.95/24 hour period. You will need a network card in your laptop. You can borrow a cat 5 cable from housekeeping if necessary. We brought along a 15-f cable. It was good to have the extra length because the network wall jack was across the room from where we wanted to use the laptop.

There is also WiFi connectivity available in the lobby area (as well as in the convention center and perhaps other areas of the resort; I'm sure someone who has used this feature will let us know). You can connect for $4.95/hour or $9.95/24 hour period using your wireless connection. If your laptop does not support wireless, I believe you can purchase a wireless adapter from the business center that is part of the convention center. I don't know if the business center at the BW has computers available for guest use or what fees would apply.

Finally, you can always dial-up to a suitable Internet service provider. You will need to research a local number for your provider (if available), sign up for a lower-cost service provider like NetZero or such, or purchase a prepaid Internet connection time card (just like a phone card, but allows you to connect to a dial-up Internet account; we use a card from AT&T to support dial-up when we stay at VB). You'll want to make sure you use a local number or 800-number so you don't end up paying for phone time as well as Internet time.
