Insulin coolers??

I saw a thread somewhere about a handy little gizmo that kept insulin cool for 8 hours..........there was a website......

I've searched the threads and can't find anything on it....

Anyone out there able to help me????

It is called the Frio Insulin Wallet - try doing a google search and you'll come up with all sorts of places that sell them online. I've never used one (my 2 year old is pumping) but I've read they are wonderful for keeping the insulin pens cool.

Just so you can read about it - not sure that is the best place to purchase. Apparently it holds the vials as well as the pens. Very neat thing and sounds perfect for travel.

I am also diabetic(type 2) so no insulin just pills, anyway if you call Disney and explain your situation they will supply you with a fridge in your room free of charge.

I use an injection drug that must be refridgerated also. If my dosing time is to occur while in the Parks, I bring my meds & supplies to First Aid, where they cold store it & supply me with a private room to do my injection.

If you didn't want/need to carry insulin injection with you while touring, this might be a handy option for you. I have found it to be very helpful & much easier than carrying my supplies & trying to find a private place to do my shot or going back to the resort to do it.

That said, I think I will look for that wallet size cold pack for transporting my meds to & from the Parks.....
