Inspired by being a thread highjacker- the OT thread!

Becky, oh Becky, where are thou? Seriously, I was wondering how the job interview went?

Hi MW... I know you're around, I saw you post right after me welcoming Sarah the newbie :-)

I feel bad everytime magicmirror gets on, we all hit the sack!

vent: One of my techs at work worked on my laptop today for another issue and now I can't get on my wireless at home, grrrrr. So I am attached by umbilical cord across the living room floor.

Hey, hot monkey love.

Beck, I think you're going to get the j-o-b.

Froggy, congrats on your babies.

Ash, hang in there! The right job will come along. :)

Stace, you are a better MoH than I! Although my bride keeps calling the wedding off...then on again, with every fight. I'm thinking these two maybe shouldn't be getting married!

My cousin gets married this weekend to a great guy. She doesn't read these boards, I'm just SO HAPPY for her. And him. Good thing when nice people join the fam. :)

It was sunny today and a friend had a cookout. My face is sunburned!!!! I wish there was a Jumping For Joy smilie! :)

And I'm going to bed. Night, all!

Thanks!! I am soo relieved to have a job that will be easy and fun! Not to mention have great hours! Plus, she already knew I am going to WDW in less than 2 weeks, so that wasn't an issue at all.

It's part time, but I think there will be a possibility of me going full time eventually- we'll have to see how things go. Right now, I just want to ease back in, so this is perfect. I'll still be home enough to see mark for some baby-making!! :rotfl: TMI- I know, but I'm so thrilled now that we're trying!!

I was so excited I forgot to ask what I am going to be paid!! :lmao: I feel like an idiot. I'm sure it will be acceptable, though.

Thanks Stacerita!!

LOL- I just posted on another thread, and I think I mispelled expensive, because it came out on my post ex*****ve

Nothing much. I went to see a high school play tonight. My cousin was starring in it and it's his last one. It was hot in there! Probably even hotter than hot monkey love.

hahaha.....i can guess what your mispelled word said. And Im cracking up over here like a 10 year old boy who just heard a poop joke, hahaha.

Nothing much going on over here. Did a bit more shopping for the bridal shower this weekend and right now Im making some arrangements for the bachelorette party.

I went to see Mark's cousins HS play about a month ago!! LOL! It was on a Friday night, and then SIL and I went to get a pitcher of margaritas after (before she was preggers, obviously).

Stace- I cracked up too. In fact, I might still be stifling a giggle. I said *****, heehee.

I was so happy a couple of days ago- Ok, so I have a large dog, and I can never find "cute" collars for her: they always suck, and all the cute blingy collars only come in for little dogs. But the other day at Petsmart I got Jules a glittery pink collar! It's so girly and cute, I can barely contain myself.

I need to find a cute glittery collar for my new dog, still un-named. I bought a pattern to make her a ball gown and a pet carrier, I might go and get some fabric this weekend to start on the carrier.

How you feel about finding cute collars for your large dog is how I feell about finding cute pants for my large behind. :rotfl:

OT - Ive heard conflicting things about shower gifts. Im giving my best friend her bridal shower this weekend, Ive been told by a few that I am not expecting to give a gift. From a few others I have been told that I had too. Im not sure what to do. Ive put a ton of time, effort and money into this shower. Not to mention all the stuff I am doing for the bachelorette party and wedding as well. I will be attending her other shower that is out of town (add a hotel stay, gas, etc) and will be bringing a gift to that shower.

So my question is, will it be tacky if I dont give her a gift this weekend at the shower I am hosting? Honestly, I haven't even had one chance to check out her registry or go shopping. HELP!

Thx,you just made my guts burst.LOL :sunny:

Don't forget about the corn throwing sugar gliders. They will get angry...

Oh, Ash, a ballgown? :lmao: That's too funny!!!

Stacerita- umm, I don't know. I don't think you would have to give a gift, especially since you're hosting the shower yourself, and obviously it takes $$$!! And you are getting a gift for the other shower.

But personally, I would feel weird not getting her a present... I know- that is no help at all.

Final decision: no, you aren't required to give a gift; your time and money are very much a gift since you are working so hard on the shower.

Thats what I was thinking. But I didnt want to come off as being a cheap ******* you know? I do feel wierd about not getting a gift though. But I will be getting one for the other shower and for the wedding. Not to mention all the time and money that I put out for the whole wedding in general.
