ETA: Had to delete my question, as received message that it was inapporpriate. OT- but guess what they are doing to a Wal-Mart near here? They are turning the whole store into a strictly clearance store! Isn't that odd?

I used to do hospice for older folks. Now I do regular med/surg, as was tired of answering, "I watch people die," when asked what I do for a living.

Am thinking of moving into children's hospice. Think I just needed a break, but am ready to go back...kind of a "calling" I guess. But I'm thinking kids. Went to talk to a woman about it and her exact words, when I asked her if she thought I could get the job if I brushed up on Peds stuff were, "Of course you will. You'll be perfect. When do you want to start?"

So - BOOM - it is real. I need to make a call. Now I don't know WHAT I want to do. Do I want to answer, "I watch little kids die," when someone asks what I do for a living, or no?

Got to sit / sleep on it for a few days.

You try to look at it as helping, and comforting people while they die, but it ends up feeling the other way after a while.

I can't imagine a Discount WalMart. Sounds bad. But maybe you'll get great stuff really cheap!!!
