Good afternoon everyone!!

I've had a pretty boring day: it has been rainy all day- makes me sleepy.

I did get a call from my hair salon, though- the new office coordinator wanted me to come in a fill out an application, so I ran and did that. If they offer me the receptionist job I am going to take, I decided. It would be easy, relatively stress-free (which I could use after my last job and while trying to get pregnant), and it would be $!! That would be a nice change of pace!!

Actually, the office manager just called about 10 minutes ago- I have an interview on Friday!!

I'm not really nervous- I think I might be a shoe-in. Afterall, my stylist told me about the position, and she OWNS the salon. So, I doubt she'd tell me about it if she didn't want me there; I just have to interview with the new "office manager," and I don't know her- she's very new. But, my stylist has been cutting my hair since I was 16, and I have followed her to two different salons, and finally she opened her own.

However, I don't want to count my chickens, so to speak, so I am trying not to get my hopes (too) up. I don't know who makes the final decision.

ETA: Had to delete my question, as received message that it was inapporpriate. FEMALE conditions may discussed in any depth - trouble with your period, dark blood, blood clots, kind of tampon to get for your daugher...your breast augmentation/reduction, etc. Shooting people in the face is also OK...but it seems male conditions are completely off-limits.

Hi, Chipper.

So, I have a 79 year old patient who comes in for an elective and unneccesary surgery, and has a heart attack on the table. They surgery was to insert something, so they stopped and un-did what they'd done and treated the heart attack, which is how I ended up with him.

Then he develops sepsis, which is an infection in your blood, travels all over the place. So he needs antibiotics for THAT. Now I know he'll get C-Diff. This guy could die. All because he wanted a very dumb surgery for a 79 year old.

That the doctor would even do it amazes me...many wouldn't. But have some brains people! Anytime you go under, ESPECIALLY if you are so very old, there are risks!

Ug. It's a bad day for me to meet your relatives, Beck. Please tell them I am not usually a raving lunatic!

Anyway- I got to read it first, and yes- that was completely silly for a 79 yr old man. Sad that it might cost him the rest of his life too! Won't do him much good to fix "it" up if he's dead!! SOunds like he's determined to be a stiff. SORRY, I COULD NOT HELP MYSELF.

Thanks Nic- I don't even know if it's full/part time or what days or hours it would be- but I really don't care. It's something- and at this point I need out of this house!! Especially since I'm done with the project (still no word on that, btw).
