... at the end of the ride, where all the "good byes" are written in several languages, there is one on the left side that reads " Sa Waht De Krahp". Is that really a language or just a CM being a smart alec ? Maybe I'll start taking more time to read all the little signs & posters thruout WDW.

It's not an inside joke. It's Thai. Checking the Web, it seems that it's the Thai general greeting (hello/goodbye), spoken by a male. Also spelled "Sah-waht-dee, krahp" or "Sawatdee krap" or, most often, "Sawasdee krap." When spoken by a female, the last word is "ka" instead of "krap."

Gosh! What a repuation to live up to.

I'm just surprised that the filtering software on DIS didn't change "Sawasdee krap" to "Sawasdee ****."

Speaking of Thailand and filtering... on another board, I once posted about the Marriott Vacation Club resort at P h u k e t, Thailand. The sofware changed it to "****et, Thailand." But the way, it's pronouced Pooh-ket.

Interesting...never saw that. One thing I do find interesting is in the loading area of Dinosaur you can see CTX-WDI 98 on the wall as part of the "themeing"......obviously Countdown to Extinction, Walt Disney Imagineering 1998, but disguised as some sort of project # or whatever. Just makes me wonder how many people see that and don't know what it means....especially since they changed the name of the ride.

I noticed that in August! I liked the name CTX more :(

Since we are on the topic of "insider stuff" at WDW in general. This one was pointed out to me by Jeff Jewell while we were in the Star Tours queue in May.

Look at the overhead conveyor carrying parts around in the droid room. The letters and numbers on the buckets are the initials and birthdates of imagineers who worked on the project.

I noticed that if you look at the sign, there are letters that spell out

"Annoyng Ship"

It isn't one language, because it's on multiple lines from about 2 different languages, if I remember correctly.

Strategic, or coincidence?

Wierd....

Anyway.....

If you see any numbers or random words in ANY attaction at WDW, DL, DLP, hell, anypark, it's usually a WDI inside joke. Many numbers are dates of Imagineers birthdays or Kids birthdays. Ditto for wording, sometimes it tells you of impending danger. Look at the ToT listing of floors before you enter the librarays. On the bottom of it says 'Evil tower u r doomed'. NEATO!!!! :jester:

Just outside of the exit at Jungle Cruise, there's a chest with a picture of the SS Columbia on it.
Also, the water barrels at BTMRR (near the exit) and in Fantasyland (near Pan) have the name of the actual RCES Fire Chief on them.

We really enjoyed the AP Magical Memories Challenge last September - it was packed with details of things like what is mentioned in this thread. Considering how used some of us get to the MK - it was an entirely new way of looking at it and experiencing it!

One of my favorites was the crates near the Treehouse - names of actors from the movie are on them. It really is amazing when you stop to appreciate the amount of detail that went in to the park - the details that we don't even notice sometimes.

As far as the Thai language - I'm fine with that as long as you give me the Thai food!!!

I was just listening to the HM Xmas Edition soundtrack and noticed that when Madam Leota does the 13 days of Christmass, the 3rd day is '3 lifelines extending help to those in need.' Anyone get it? :jester: :smooth:

It's at soundsofmagic.com if you want to listen.
