Hello all,
I am a usual poster on the rumors and news board, but I am in need of your expertise.

I and my family have been to WDW many times, but we have never done the minigolf. Wanted to do that this trip in June.

My questions are...
1) how is the best way to get there?
2) do you need reservations?
3) is there a better day or time to do this?
4 ) Which course do you prefer - we are planning the fantasia course right now

thanks in advance!

Hi, Phicinfan,

1) The best way to get to the Fantasia course is to uber/lyft there from your resort. If not, you're going to have to change buses by taking a bus from your resort to a park, then taking a park bus to a Boardwalk-area resort. But if you're staying at a Boardwalk-area resort, you can just walk over.

2) None of the WDW mini golf courses take reservations.

3) Luck of the draw on when to go. The last time I went to Fantasia, the wait was 3 hours(!), so we left. My guess is that first thing in the morning is probably the least crowded. The 3-hour-wait visit was in the early afternoon.

4) The Fantasia course is really the nicest, but the Winterland/Summerland courses usually have much lower wait times and are often walk-ons. They're cute and fun but Fantasia is a cut above. The Winterland/Summerland courses can be reached by taking a bus from your resort to Blizzard Beach.

Hope that helps!

We prefer Fantasia. We've had good luck with wait times, nothing too bad, but have had an issue a couple of times with local birthday party groups being ahead of us- LOTS of people on each hole, toddlers running about, etc. The last time we actually spoke to an employee by the fourth hole because we were just standing and waiting for so long, and they broke up the group a bit and had the non-golfers stay off to the side with the little ones.
We prefer going at night, and have gotten lucky twice and have seen the fireworks from HS, which are very close.

The last time I went to fantasia gardens, we took a boat from hollywood studios to the swan/dolphin.
