Hi Jen,
I hope this information helps.

If you are aren't sure where to begin, first look at the Cruise Critic site to get an idea about the cruise lines and ships, as well as destinations and the people they are catering to: http://www.cruisecritic.com/

And since you are posting here, you may be set on Disney:
The Disney ships, the Magic and the Wonder, are both fairly new. The Magic was built in 1998 and the Wonder in 1999, and the Magic just underwent an extensive refurbishment last fall.

The Magic is the ship that sails the 7 day intinerary, Eastern or Western Carribean; the Wonder sails the 3 and 4 day routes in the Bahamas.

So first you'd have to decide how long you want to travel, which destinations you like, and go from there. If you are set on cruising on Disney, you can read this message board for ideas and preference for people your age. You should also go right to the Disney Cruise line web site and browse through to see if it sound right for you. Here's the site:http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/disneycruiseline/index

Then I would come back to the boards and check the various travel agents. You can book through Disney Cruise Line (DCL) but usually the travel agents who specialize in cruises and Disney vacations offer specials and better discounts. Try Dreams Unlimited, who sponsor this board. People have been very happy with their service, and they are currently offering a very good rebate that will save you some $$$.

Sorry this is so long, but there's so much to say... or is that just me blabbing as usual!:teeth:

Have a blast planning!

jen,

DCL does not really have a "new" ship. The Wonder(1999) is newer than the Magic(1998), but the Magic just completed 2 weeks in drydock in October so it has been refurbished and some changes were made. It really depends on which cruise you want to take. The Wonder does the 3 & 4 day to Nassau and Castaway Cay and the Magic does the 7 day Eastern & Western Caribbean with a stop at Castaway Cay. Besides this the only big differences are the changes made to the Magic in drydock. On the Magic the teen club Common Grounds has moved into the old ESPN sports bar and Common Grounds has become an adult coffee and drink cafe called Cove Cafe. Also one of the nightclubs has been changed on the Magic. The only other big difference is one restaurant - Lumiere's on Magic and Triton's on the Wonder.

Both are great ships and like I said before it just depends on the length of the cruise you want to do.

DCL only has two SHIPS. No new boats:boat: The boats (lifeboats) are on the SHIP in case the SHIP fails. So is your aunt interested in the lifeboats or the ship:teeth:? Both the Magic and Wonder are in great condition. They are very classy ships and you can't go wrong with either one!!
