I'm not there, but I am pretty sure I saw somewhere that the pool was open on 12/29. They even had a photo with the deck chairs all out and the filled, uncovered pool, taken from the deck.

Anyone happen to be at ssr this week or next? I’m going 2nd week of January and getting nervous I haven’t heard anything about paddock pool reopening despite an early December end date.

Sorry for the late reply, but the Paddock pool opened on Saturday, Dec. 20, one day prior to our departure. We went to the pool that day and had a great time!

Note that the hot tub was not yet open at that time...not sure if it has opened since.

Thank you for the note. Did paddock grill open when you were there? From website looked to me like that is open now but later. Trying to figure out if during closure maybe they upgraded to the fancy soda machines for refill mugs.

It was open and we ordered some food (and a soda), but I didn't notice any place to refill mugs. I think it's just a window for ordering, and the drinks are dispensed by the cast member from a soda fountain behind the counter.

With the Treehouse refurb allegedly starting (albeit with just one Villa could it be a test room?) does anyone have any info on when it will be finished? I’m looking at June 2026 for a family trip and would consider them if the refurb was done, Thanks.

Mmm just seen the Treehouses don’t have any king beds, we can’t sleep in a queen. Very poor given the size of them!

Which DVC’s have King beds?? (Is it rare, are they only in the 1 & 2 bd villas?)

THV have a queen in primary bdrm, queen in secondary, and twin bunk beds in third.
almost all other dvc villas 1bdrm + have a king in primary. Cfw is the exception I believe.

Good to know, and then yes I agree a King in the one master is a huge miss in the Treehouses.
Hopefully they change that in a refurb.

It has been a few years, but if I am remembering the THV correctly, I don't think there is a lot of extra space in the master for a king bed.

It would be an awfully tight squeeze to get a king in the larger master bedroom - definitely not in the smaller ones. They'd probably have to eliminate one of the side tables and run the bed right up to the inside wall...the room is kind of triangle shaped, so if the king started from the wall, the opposite foot corner would be very close to the window and would leave just a sliver of space to walk past the bed.

There are also windows in the LR, so there may not be Murphy beds in there after refurb.
