Information About Hilto Head

My son and daughter-in-law and their three year old son are seriously thinking about staying there for 5 days in August and are trying to gather some info about the resort. Can anyone help us out here? Is it a good place for a 3 yr. old? Will he have enough to do to keep him busy? My son went to the DVC site to see what he could find out, but i guess he just couldn't get enough info, so I told him I would try here because I'm sure there would be many people here who have stayed there and would be able to help us out. Any info you could give us would be really appreciated. Oh, and about resturants, I almost forgot.

HH is a great area with lots of family activities available. The resort has a wonderful recreation staff with activities for all ages.

There is no restaurant at the resort, but there are about 5 within a 5 minute walk of the resort. There is a snack bar at the resort and another at the beach house (about a mile away). The resort provides shuttle transportation to the beach house for guests. Bicycles are available for rent at the resort and there are all sorts of water related activities available. Canoeing, kayaking, Dolphin Cruises, fishing, crabbing, tennis, golf, shelling, horseback riding, sailing, nature walks, campfires, cooking classes and children's programming are available right thru the resort.

HH itself has over 300 restaurants to choose from as well as lots of shopping opportunities. Theater, historical locations and great scenic areas are plentiful at Hilton Head.

I'm sure your family will find lots of things to their liking in the area. It's also a short drive to Savannah for more options.

The resort is very busy from June thru August, but they may still find availability.

Thank you so much for all your help. It gave us alot of information to go on and hopefully, if they call right away, they'll get in. They'll most likely try for the very end of August. It really sounds like fun.
