I was planning on signing my daughter up for this. A friend of mine did it last year and didn't speak highly of it....has anyone recently had their kids do this and what days and cost? Thanks! She loved the Pirate Cruise and even wants to do that again.

My DD (8yo) did it in February. She had fun, but given the choice between Grand Adventures and the Wonderland Tea Party (which she did on a previous trip), she would choose WTP hands down. It was a little too cooking boot camp for her. She did, however, have great fun passing out muffins to complete strangers at the Grand Floridian.

I cannot recall the cost or days.

My DD will be trying Grand Adventures in Cooking for the first time in October. I think the cost is about $20 - $25. Allison has done the Tea Party three times, and she loves it!!! I was just going to try Grand Adventures for something different - and we'll probably try the Tea Party too! We've done the Pirate Cruise once, and although she did enjoy it, she rather the Tea Party. She's excited about decorating her chef's hat!

I have a daughter who is the exact opposite of Sandi's -- mine would choose the Grand Adventures in Cooking Class over the Pirate Cruise or Wonderland Tea Party. Of course, she always attends all three activities, so, luckily for me, I never have to worry about which one she enjoys more. ;)

By the way, all the kids seem to just adore "Drew" and the other GF CM's. They really can tailor the experience so that the older children don't feel so, well, old!

Isn't it funny (and wonderful) how different kids are?

Sandi, how true that is! I do NOT cook (that's what husbands are for), so I find it amusing that my daughter loves the cooking class (she has way too much of my husband's genes in her). If I could, I would give anything to attend the Pirate Cruise. And I'd make all the other little kiddies "walk the plank" -- aye, aye! (Maybe that's why they don't allow us "big" kids on the Pirate Cruise, eh?! ;) )
