Hi everyone!
I am looking for recommendations for games or activities on the iPad that my girls (8 and 6) can play in the car or while at wdw. It would be great to not have to bring so many things in suitcase or car for our trips. Doesn't need to be free, but I don't want to pay too much for each app. Would pay a little more if there was several games in one app.
Thank you! :goodvibes

My 5 & 9 yr old boys love Glow Hockey because they can play against the ipad or against each other. It is like air hockey.

Crayola Colorstudio, the free app only has a few pages to color but fun. (Don't waste money on the pen)

There are a number of games for free or have lite versions which are free to try. Worth looking into those and seeing what your girls like. You can search the top free games and apps on itunes.

Having just boys we have more racing type games. My 5 yr old loves Sunday Lawn and my 9 yr old likes Reckless Racing.

i have an iphone i love smurfs(just turn off the buying of smurfberrys.. you do earn them though) and i also have tap zoo, angry birds, fruit ninja's and battleship(they can play alone or vs each other by passing it back and fourth) hth

I don't know if it is still going on but EA games had a lot of their games for $0.99 a piece a couple of days ago. I was able to get Monoply, The Game of Life and Scrabble for my iPad and Clue and three different Sims games for my iPhone. There was a bunch more but I wasn't interested in them.

The Cars2 Race game is decent. The Monster Ate My Homework is free right now, and semi-addictive.

My kids who are slightly younger than yours love the interactive books (the ones that come with mini games and drawing/painting) things built into the book.

This one is strange but my 7 year old loves Keynote. She makes presentations about things she knows about. I woke up a few weeks ago to a presentation on butterflies because there happened to be a picture of one on the template she chose. I think she primarily likes to add the effects, but who knows maybe yours will like that type of thing too.

Mine like MathBoard as well. You can make it give quick quizzes on different areas of math, so they either race each other or the older will pull out the chalkboard portion of the program, and try to teach the little one.

Also the Appshopper app is pretty handy for tracking down apps, that have price reduced, and are now free etc. Test that one out. It makes searching through apps a bit easier.

Cut the rope! There is the regular version and a free holiday version.
My 5 yo loves cookie doodle, cake doodle, and tyedye doodle. They are .99 each, not really a game but keeps her busy.

Here are what my children like (8 yr old twins and a 4 year old)
Cookie Doodle
Cut the Rope
Angry Birds
Glow Draw
Mancala
Stack the States
Stack the Countries
MathBoard
SpellBoard
Cupcakes!
Fruit Ninja
Uno
Textropolis
3D Brickbreaker
Talking Gina
Talking Ben
Cosmic Quest
Fun Run
(the last two are summer bridge work things...they haven't gotten into them as much yet)
Memory Match

Bsil, thank you so much for the appshopper recommendation! It has been so helpful. Wish monopoly, etc. Were still .99. It is now 9.99! :scared1: did buy battleship which is very fun. I am having a ball exploring all of the apps! Great suggestions!

My 10 year old daughter loves Cover Orange. I think it costs $1.99. I have to admit that I'm a bit hooked on it too! ;)
