Anyone have any recommendations for an eyelining pencil that stays put???

My problem is that I have both sensitive skin and HIGHLY sensitive eyes. I wear contact lenses too so I have to be careful with what I use. I've always used water-soluable pencils, but I'm open to other suggestions. With my allergies, my eyes itch a lot. I learned a loooooong time ago to skip the mascara, but luckily I can do without that if I use just a little eyeliner. That bothers my eyes way less than mascara, but no matter how little I use or how carefully I put it on, it still seems to smear after a few hours.

And of course I'm hoping to find something I can buy at Target/Walmart/drugstores. :rotfl2:

All suggestions welcome!

I like Maybelline Define-a -Line. It seems to stay put pretty well, but does fade somewhat as the day turns into night, as all liners tend to on me. But it does do a nice job, and I have sensitive eyes too, so it still looks nice on the days I wear no mascara. :)

I am in the same boat, sensitive skin and eyes. Really, day to day life (for a housewife, anyway) I don't bother with makeup. When I need eyeliner, or any makeup for that matter, I tend to use Physicians Formula. It hasn't irritated me yet.

You're in luck! What perfect timing. Rite Aid, this week has Revlon's Colorstay eyeliners on sale, plus the Single Check Rebate for down to $3.99.

I've used it for years. It is the only one that doesn't smudge (once it sets) - and I've got oily lids or something. I also wear contacts and do not have problems with wearing them together.

It is a stick. When you apply it, it gives you a little time to smudge & soften it. (Great for the "smokey eye" look.) Then it "sets" like a Sharpie permanent marker & does NOT come off until you wash it off! :cool1:

Make sure you apply to clean lids - no moisturizer or residual eye makeup remover on lids - otherwise the Colorstay will not set in properly & will slide/smudge.

avon has a waterproof version glimmerstick:thumbsup2

goes on gently, creamy doesn't tug @ your eye area.

the type with the color in a pencil that twist to the right length.

CQ Cosmetics available at wal-mart! I've demoed this product many times and it works great!

my eyes are very sensitive and I wear contact as well, the best thing I found was the ALMAY precision liner....or something like that, it looks like a little ink pot. I can't remember the name because a couple years ago I decided to have my eyeliner tatoo'd on!   Yep, you heard me right....I thought about it long and hard, it was right before we went on vacation and I decided I didn't want to have to worry about putting on my eyelliner before going to the POOL, yep one of the best things I ever did. Now if they could just come up with a perm solution for masacara. :rotfl2:

My eyes are sensitive and I like N.Y.C. that I've found at Walmart (it's the only place I've seen it). It's only $1 for a really big pencil!

Try the Loreal HIP gel eyeliners. The colors look strong but the navy and eggplant are the best. They are the hot item out there right now for a liner. If not, Estee Lauder makes a pencil eyeliner that is the only oen my DIL could use since her eyes are so sensitve and she wears contacts.

I really like Almay. If you are sensitive like I am, it's the way to go for less, I think.

I did the same thing several years ago and agree it was the best money I ever spent. I wear contacts and have very sensative eyes that water alot. I could never wear eyeliner for more than an hour or so. Now I wake up with my eyes perfectly lined every morning. I also had lip liner and full lips tatooed on. Again one of the best things I ever did.

I have found ID Weathereverything from Bare Escentuals though for when I want to try a differect color eyeliner. You just mix a drop with any powdered eyeshadow, apply with a thin eyeliner brush, and when it dries it stays put until you take it off with waterproof eyemakeup remover or oil. It turns any eyeshadow into eyeliner. That stuff won't budge.

Oooh, I haven't heard of these. Are they similar to Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner? Cause that stuff is my holy grail.

I know they are like the Smash Box Gel/Cream Liner but not sure about Bobbi Brown. I find these even creamier than SS. Once you put it on it stays on. They sell for around $11 but watch for sales. Well worth the money and just as good as the high end stuff. The brush that comes with it is a little stiff, some people use if for their brows. I just use my SS brush.
