Indiana Jones closing in the future?

I went back quite a few pages and didn't see anything about this, so I hope I'm not reposting something while the search is down.

FH and I were at one of the Party for the Senses in October, and we were speaking with a junior-executive level CM about the wines. We, for some reason, starting discussing the new rides at the parks, and she told us that we should get to Indiana Jones while we can because they may be closing it.

Of course, this may have been due to the wine she/we had been having, but does anyone know if there's any truth to this? I know the new High Octane show is going elsewhere, of course.

There have been rumors and speculation about it for years. The one I remember is WDW put in the Indy RIDE that is in Disneyland.

There have been rumors to that effect. They are saying that once the new motor stunt show was open, they were going to do something with Indiana Jones, possible bringing in the Indiana Jones ride from Disneyland to replace the stunt show.

From what I heard, the Indy show will be affected due to staffing for the Stunt show.

It a good show---the first 20 times you see it. An Indy ride would be a good thing. The show is played.

There are no immediate plans to close the Indiana Jones Stunt Show and its staff was not significantly affected by the upcoming opening of the "Lights! Motors! Action!" Extreme Stunt Show. LMA has its own staff, who are already working to prepare the show. Indiana Jones continues to perform its regular show schedule with its own full staff.

Disneyland's Indiana Jones Attraction was one of the last great attractions built by WDI in the states. Once Frank Wells died the company stopped creating quality and started marketing and bean counting. I doubt Disney will build it at MGM unless the Japanese Oriental Land Company is paying for it. There is a newer version of this ride at Tokyo DisneySea with some updated effects.

IASW Rider, I am certain that your sources are very strong - and I don't doubt this information for one second.

But, one historically interesting note... Not long ago, a very fine Cast Member on these boards told us (ever so emphatically) very similar information about Legend of the Lion King - when rumors of its closure circled. No doubt, that's exactly what he was hearing. Trouble is, it was wrong. They were hiring and training new puppeteers for LOLK just before it was announced to be closing, a seemingly odd thing to do - and a really strong indication that LOLK would be around for some time. Nope.

Again, you are probably absolutely correct. However, who knows what is going on behind the scenes in the big offices.

Actually, we thought it was okay the first time, boring the second, and haven't been near it for years.

to be honest, been to mgm 3 dozen times and I can honestly say I have never been that interested enough to go and see it (stunt show) ... maybe I should, though:confused3 now if they put in the ride, I'm there, won't waist another second!::yes::
