In your house

1 TV, no cable. Netflix streaming though.

DH keeps thinking about getting rid of all of our premium channels and getting Netflix. Can I ask you a few questions?

- How soon after a premium channel plays an episode does Netflix put it out for streaming? Ex: If Spartacus plays on Friday nights, when can I watch it on Netflix?

- How soon are movies that are just released on DVD available for streaming?

- Do you pay for the basic plan (I think it's 7.99 a month?) or did you go up?

Thanks!

Our apple TV has netflix streaming, so I can answer a few of your questions.

Not all TV shows are available for netflix streaming, and usually not the current season. If you have a laptop or something though you can hook that up to your TV and watch episodes from hulu or from the network sites. I think most TV episodes are available online the day after they air.

New releases are not usually available right away for streaming. We just use the apple tv to get them from Itunes

Our next purchase is going to be a mac mini (not cheap), because than we will have everything available online, including itunes and netflix, with out having to connect the laptop or use second party apps like airplay.
It is VERY nice watching all the shows you used to watch on cable, with NO cable bill!!!

Two tv's in our house. The one in the living room has basic cable while the one in my room has a DVR. I have the DVR since I use it the most, although we are looking to get one over the summer for the living room.

4 TVs with 4 DirecTV boxes (1 in HD).

4 tv's/boxes - my room, DD's room & DS's room and the living room.

Forgot to mention, all FIOS and the living room box has DVR and HD. I love how I can DVR Wipeout in the living room and DS can watch it in his room. There will be times that a program recorded in HD will play funny on a regular tv.

In AZ we have 4 TVs, 2 are Dish Network TVs, the other 2 (in bedrooms) just have DVDs
In WA we now have 1 TV and the only thing that comes in on it is from the DVD it is attached to.

We have five tvs and 5 cable boxes. Kind of crazy for two people!

We have two TVs.

One is a flatscreen HD tv that's a few years old (1080p, not 1080i), is connected to a service (DirecTV), and has a blueray player and a Wii (with Netflix streaming).

The other TV is an old CRT TV in my son's room connected to a GameCube, DVD Player, and VCR that only barely works.

5 TV's, 5 boxes. My husband would not allow anything else. He is a TV, pay channel, High-def, large screen junkie.

6 TV's. 3 have cable boxes - main floor, master bedroom, and basement den. 3 don't - spare bedroom, DS's room, and playroom. (Actually, that one doesn't even get TV channels - it's just a glorified video game monitor with an old VCR.)

7 TVs total.

4 HDTVs ranging from 26" to 40" (one is a 3DTV also) in the Living room, game room, guest bedroom, master bedroom. Hook up to AT&T U-verse.

3 32" SDTVs in the game room with various old video game systems hooked up.

That is for two people.

Four TV's and only one has the box with expanded cable and that is on the main TV. All of the other TV are just basic cable.

We have a bunch of them, I gotta count.

4 I believe, only 1 has one of those box thingies, the others don't need one and/or hooked up to satellite.

Two TVs - an HD flat screen in the family room with extended HD cable and DVR, and a regular TV in our bedroom with basic cable.

2 - a 46" HDTV in the living room hooked up to satellite and an older tv in DS bedroom. We had one hooked up in the familly room but no one watched so I cancelled the service in there.

OT - On a side note I'm thinking that Netflix must be soooo much better in the US than in Canada. I used the free month trial and cancelled, there was just no selection. All the movies and tv shows were old and awful.

42" HD flat panel on one side of the great room with a DVR and sports package
32" HD flat panel on the other side of the great room that is primarily used for the Wii, but also has cable (coming in pretty handy during March Madness:thumbsup2)
2 13" tvs in the kids' rooms both with cable and DVD/VHS combo players under them
20" flat screen in the master bedroom with cable
31" in the basement with cable
9" under-the-counter flat screen tv/radio/DVD combo with cable

7 tvs for 4 people...some people probably think that's crazy, but we wouldn't have it any other way! :rotfl::happytv:
