Hi everyone...
Apologies for my absence, just haven't had much to contribute lately. It has been day to day combat to keep my goals in the forefront and for the most part I am winning the battle - yeah!
Had my first real training ride with the Team in Training group today and OMG - LOVED IT!!! Twenty miles with a few climbs. The group is very welcoming and not intimidating. Well they are when the advanced group peels off for hill repeats and you just watch them go with your jaw dropped, but I too can get there right? They taught me so much about gearing today that my ride was 1000% better than any I have done on my own. Less effort, more power = one happy Paula!
I am off this afternoon to do some shopping for a road bike since my fabulous hybrid is working against me here. It gives me a great workout, but I am using way more energy to do what I need to do which is build my base mileage. Wish me luck!
Oh - went to see Toy Story 3 last night and it was just amazing. I laughed so hard at one point I was crying and then I was bawling towards the end. It was just that good. Go see it people!
Lisa - I have been thinking about the whole single life thing a lot lately. Some days it bothers me, some days I own it. It just ebbs and flows. Someday right? Congrats on the Lakers and the rainbow trout.
Meg - have fun at the lake.
EE - so glad that life appears to be calming down a little bit for you.
Kat - no dryer with inlaws coming is not good. Glad that you found a work around. How was running this morning?
Kelly - don't forget to come up for air while watching the World Cup. We miss you around here.
E - hope you are having fun camping
Nancy, Cathie, Jo, Ronda and anyone I may have missed - HI!!!
Can you tell I am on an endorphi high right now?
