In Search of My Body vol.9 - I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

Haha, not that early really. I usually get to work between 9:30 and 10, and the gym is exactly between work and home (5 min to gym, then 5 to work from gym).

So, I got up around 8:20, put on suit and shorts/tee, got work stuff and clothes for work together, and got to the gym around 8:45 or so. I just showered and got ready there instead of home.

Probably well after most of you usually get up, but for me it is a big win. I am notoriously bad about mornings.

You crack me up!!! :rotfl2:

I start work at 7:30 so I am up at 5!

I love it when the work out is done for the day first thing.
For me it works cuz of the kids. I just need to do it more.
Oh and Ummm Don't eat junk for breakfast, (big bagel is a no no)

Kat- I don't think I had an exact time I was trying for but rather just a guess as to when I'd finished based on a 9 mile race I'd done. Now I'm thinking I have no idea, I just know I'll finish inside of the three and a half hour course closing.

Jo- Did she really have to ask what you were doing? I'm not the most organized when it comes to my closets and what not but I can't stand dirty. How odd is that?

Meg, I would just shoot for finishing, and enjoy it as much as you can.

I am *positive* that you will finish under 3.5 hours. :goodvibes

Jo, can your mom and aunt come to my house?

My darn dryer is broken again. Sigh. Hoping it is due to a clogged-open outside vent and the resulting steam room inside the dryer (hello, NC humidity), and that letting it dry out for a few days will help...

So did any of you hear the crack (as he!! froze over) this AM? I actually got up and worked out BEFORE work today.

Holy crap :faint: Who are you and what have you done with our Kat?

Just called home to check in with DH, he told me that his mom and aunt have vacuumed my whole house, and mopped the floor and have put my meat loaf recipe in the crock pot. :cool1::cool1:

wow.:thumbsup2

First off - I too would probably be freaking in your situation. But, having had the benefit of running a several 1/2's I can honestly say - relax. You will be fine. Seriously. I would personally take the hills easy, and not try to "attack" them. You do realize that just by doing this 1/2 marathon you have won, right?

(as an aside - did you know that they don't have hills in Florida? Only on-ramps :rotfl2:)

yuck. :headache: Hope it's an easy fix.

I've had a wonky day. Good workout, no alcohol, meh on water and meh on food. I didn't track <tsk tsk> although I might jot down my food without attempting to calculate points before I go to bed. That way, when I am frustrated and pouty about a stubborn scale I can look back and understand WHY! :rolleyes1

oh - and Lisa? I know it's not Thursday yet, but....;)

Hi gals! Quite a bit of drama happening. It makes me so angry that my son has more maturity than his father. I'm angry and hurt for both kiddos. Oh who am I kidding? I'm ready to maim. Tomorrow's another day, right? This mamma bear is heading to bed. Good night!

(Shoot I haven't had a wonky day. Laughing. Shoot. Why do I always destroy your quotes Nancy. )

STOP IT!!!!! :goodvibes Ummm, not on the tape measure reminder. On the beat Nancy up tactics. STOP IT NANCY!!! ::love:

As for the tape measure - let me go do it now. It's hips. I simply can't decide if that's a no win situation or a win-win situation. I guess it depends on the hormones of the moment - which are now raging.

So I'll be back.

(I don't want a change in my hiips as I have none. :sad2: And part of hips is the butt - and I don't want to lose mine. :sad2: Okay, part is the lower stomach.......:lmao: Okay, I'll be back...)

Okay, down an inch. I'm so emotionally torn. :lmao::rotfl::lmao: That better not be my butt or I'll be on the bloody war path.

Hey! My high school pep rally was "Warriors on the war path - ooooh aaaah". Yes, I'm that old. Years before PC behaviour. :rotfl2:

Kat - when you said wet to straight or whatever you said - did you mean you have one of those wet hair dryer straighteners. OMG. :lmao::rotfl::lmao: What the eff did I just say? :surfweb:

I have to go get some beauty sleep.

I want to look pretty when I wave goodbye to those Boston boys. Without any bling of course. Maybe on me but certainly not on them. popcorn::

It's SO ON Megan. :rotfl2:

:lmao: I totally just followed that crazy train of thought. And I agree! My belly can go, but I'd like to keep what little I have in the trunk thanks.

:lmao: Such a great way to start my day. Images of Lisa with a tomahawk chop warrior cry :lmao:

much to do in the next few days. I can already tell that it's going to be high anxiety for me  Now if I can get thru it without stress eating myself sick I'll call it a win!

My sweet baby girl is growing up. I snuck a kiss goodbye while she was sleeping.

To cheer my kids up last night, I let the cat out of the bag about our trip. Wow! It dried all of their tears.

Hi All

EE, sorry about the drama

So the in-laws let my almost 3year old fall asleep with a ring pop in her mouth.
W. T.. F...

Ate way to much junk yesterday to be worthy of posting on this thread.
Did Elliptical again today!

It's called wet2straight. A flat iron but you can use it on damp hair. I dry mine to damp (few min at most) and then use it. Works great, doesn't take very long, and wasn't very $$. I think Remington makes it.

Btw, my high school mascot was also the Warrior. So yeah, I remember that cheer.

Jo, you are *always* worthy of posting on this thread. Hey, we have all had days (ahem, umm, even years) that we totally don't follow the healthy path. Just pick up and move on. :goodvibes

Thanks Kat,

My NEW Goal is I'm off POP for 6 weeks, no Coke, til my Big 35 Bday.
And if I can stay away from cookies, cakes, candy I will be happy. I am going to try to do more xtraning too. Cross my fingers and see where this takes me. Wish me Luck.

Hey everyone-hope your weeks are going well.

I....am about to lose my mind.....if this stress doesn't drive me to plow through a row of Oreos I will be surprised. It's times like this I can hear WDW calling my name even louder than ever...sucks so much because we're no going this year...

Not a lot to report, just some drama with the family, money stresses, and job stresses. Carlos and I are supposed to go on a weekend getaway next weekend that I'm PRAYING still happens, I changed my direct deposit at work to have half my paycheck go into another acct not realizing that it would put the other half depositing into the already set up account on hold...now I'll be getting my whole paycheck in the mail for the next two paydays...which would be fine except I get paid next Friday, we were going to use that paycheck for our little getaway, and since it's being MAILED, I probably won't get it until Friday, which means we won't have the money for the weekend...might have to get creative as to what we use while we're there until we get back on Monday and the check is waiting for us. UGH. Was really looking forward to next weekend being completely stress free, check out mentally time...now it looks like that won't be the case.

Going to go gnaw my frustration out on some carrots....

Cathie, sorry about the frustration.

EE, happy belated bday to the little one. Glad they are excited about the trip!

I did 5K at lunch in 36:39, all 2/1s. Best time yet! My new shoes are happy, and I actually felt great after and not wiped. I still feel pretty good 3 hours later.

I am definitely going to give the 12 pace group a try this weekend.

Hope everyone is having a great day!
