GOOD MORNING!
Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous Christmas Day! Like Nancy, it is such a wonderful day for us and we do what WE want, without obligation, etc. We have a big brunch before we start opening presents, but other than that, no big meal or fancy cooking to do. Just all be together.
Christmas Eve went well. Hosted a brunch here, then went to my parents' for a big dinner and church. So those two events are done.
LISA! The star of the hour! OMG, Zhu-Zhus! Jean-Claude has been renamed Chunk, once again. Kelly just looked at us like we had two heads when we said he was Jean-Claude! But oh! The smile on that child's face! Yes, I captured it for you and will post later. I told ALL about zhu zhu gate, Target, Grandma Meredith, our thread's international effort to get zhus for Mad and Kel. Such a great story to tell on Christmas Day! And Kelly wants to write a thank you note to Lisa, which I thought was so sweet. So we will do that when we sit down to write thank you notes in a day or so.
I see that Cutie hasn't posted yet, but she texted me...Zhu zhus were the hit of the day there as well. It was 7:15pm there and apparently Chunk-the-first hadn't been put down all day!
Today is day three of the 4-day extravaganza that is Christmas for my family. Right now we are off to go the inlaws to do it all over again. Well, not really. A much smaller affair, of course. But this one IS all about obligation. It will be nice enough, though.
Then tomorrow is the family Open House, which is fun and relatively stress-free considering over 50 people usually come through. But that event is always catered, so it takes all of the stress off, thank goodness.
More later. Hope everyone is sleeping in and enjoying the post-Christmas haze!
