In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Oh, and the sleepover was FAB, thanks. I love those boys. And this morning they completely cleaned up after themselves. I mean they really did it...not like normal when you still have to go behind them and "really" clean. They did as good a job as I would have.

And I have news. I am totally caught up at work. Granted, it won't last even a week, but it feels good. I know Lyz gets it.

Lisa, great job with BL!!!

I am jealous of Amy off touring Epcot.

 everyone! Sorry I am such a slacker about posting and responding.

THis has been such a crazy week... 12-16 hour days working on this darn demo. I got a free ticket to the hockey game last night and went with three friends, which was a nice ending to the week.

Today is a lazy day. I might go shopping in a while if the couch doesn't eat me.

BTW, shoe size... I am a 9.5 on one foot, and a 10 on the other (which is also deformed from the rheumatoid). Shoe shopping is way fun. :upsidedow

Paula & Nancy--great job on good workouts and loss! I am crawling back on the wagon tomorrow. I would hop right on, but I don't think I can lift myself!

Um - hello - I thought we all helped each other around here.... Arm extended for you to reach and grab...

Kat - hockey friend!!! So cool that you made it to the game. Thinking of heading to the AHL game here tonight. If I make it, I'll let you know how your farm team looks... I hear you on the large feet thing. Remember me, size 9.5 / 10 - borrowing your boots at Disney to go to dinner... I want to go back to dinner at Narcoosees and wear tiaras to sip champagne in again... (again - they really need to add a pouty face smiley to the mix)...

Paula, they couldn't look worse than their NHL team!! Have fun! I want to be at WDW too.

D and I have committed to join a gym together by the end of the month (as my current membership expires). Starting in Jan, after his crazy xmas season, we are going to start going together at night when he gets off work. We did this a few years back and it worked pretty well for us, so I am hopeful...

What a morning so far... was at work at 6:30 to watch a crane set up and set some scaffolding, but really I just froze my bummocks off - it was 29F when I left this morning!!!!

I'm convinced that shiverring burns calories ;)

Today is a lazy day. I might go shopping in a while if the couch doesn't eat me.

I'm being just a *tad* lazier. Shopping FROM my couch  Just placed a nice order with Kohls. Best part is the free shipping, so if something isn't quite *right* at least I didn't pay for them to send it to me :thumbsup2

And as for feet - I'm a "10" as well. Cute shoes aren't always so cute when they are giant sized....

Um - hello - I thought we all helped each other around here.... Arm extended for you to reach and grab...

so, so true. Anyone who wants "up" can always get a hand!

Which reminds me...wasn't there someone out there for whom I offered to dust off my whistle? Paula, do you recall? If so, please remind me who it was, because I forget for sure

That so works for me..

Sadly - I think that was for me... So not on my plan for the week and almost ashamed to admit it. Not too terribly off of it, but why or why can't I turn my sweet tooth off????

:wave2: Can I join in? I think I've been here before but I can't remember. I have tried time and time again to lose weight with no success. However, now it is a must!!! I have gained about 70 pounds since DH and I started dating and I am miserable :crazy2: We have recently started talking about trying to start a family next fall. Yes I know it's crazy and that's a long way off, but I have PCOS and my doc says it's neccessary to plan ahead b/c of getting everything in line and the biggest help/henderence whichever way you want to look at it is my weight or weightloss. So now that I've told you the details about myself, I will tell you the basics. I'm Leanne and 23 yo. I have a wonderful hubby for 1 1/2 years and a beautiful 4 legged baby. She is a 2 1/2 yo english springer spaniel. My overall goal is to lose 80lbs total. I've already lost about 15. I'm looking more at size then anything meaning right now I'm a size 16/18 and I want to get back into a 9/10 which is what I was when DH and I started dating. So far I have no specific program. I'm just trying to get into a routine of walking at least 4 days a week and watching what I eat. My reward for all of this is important I think too. My goal is to run in princess 1/2 marathon in 2011 and DH's "prize" for me is a Tiffany's necklace :cloud9: He knows how badly I want to lose weight and who can resist those little blue boxes. Well I have thus far but not much longer will I be :yay::yay::yay:

Not too terribly off of it, but why or why can't I turn my sweet tooth off????

I struggle with that one too. Some days I just can't take it! I chew gum, but it's not the same. I'll have a peppermint or butterscotch hard candy. But it's not enough. The other day I made these insanely sinful brownies at work (for an order) and when I was cutting them, one broke. Yep. I kept that sucker for me. :headache: I'm really trying to figure out how to work WITH my sweet tooth, because it's proven time and time again that it will not be ignored.

Hi Leanne. Welcome. :flower3:

Welcome Leanne. Yup, you've been here before. :goodvibes So I guess I should say welcome back!

Nancy and Paula--thanks. You know how hard it is for me to ask for help.

Paula and Kat--I am SO with you about sipping champagne at Narcoossee's while wearing tiaras. Oh to be there right now...*sigh* Guess the memories will have to do.

And if you are feeling less formal...there are always shots at Jellyroll's (oh yeah, this pic is going to haunt you for YEARS! :lmao:)

Erika - thanks for the memories both the formal and the informal. How far away is the pricess 1/2 and we can do it again?

Leanne - welcome to the party.

Just back from Old Navy. Total steals on outer wear. Nate & Becca each got a jacket- they were on sale 50% off, and with the "stuff a tote" promotion I got an additional 30% off by using my Old Navy card! Can't beat that!

Lyz - how were the outlets?

I'm running over to the outlet malls today. Jeffersonville Amiee.

I'm so jealous Lyz! Did you find some good buys??

Paula - We are going to the National Cathedral. Darth Vader? Do tell.

E - Glad the sleepover went well. Kudos on being caught up. I relish those days.

Kat - I hope your load at work gets easier soon!

Nancy - I think I need your whistle in the area of sweets!

Please fill me in on the tiaras. Were would one need to purchase one? I don't want to be left out at the princess.

Got a nice work out in today. Was bored with the stair climber, so I moved back to the bike. Rode for 12 miles, then enjoyed the sauna for a few minutes.

Lyz--really??? You won't borrow shoes from a girlfriend??? HI LARIOUS.

No. I am a nonshoesharer. Grosses me out. Molli teases me by putting her feat very close to the entrance of my shoes. I flip out.

And I have news. I am totally caught up at work. Granted, it won't last even a week, but it feels good. I know Lyz gets it.

OMG! Bliss!

And as for feet - I'm a "10" as well. Cute shoes aren't always so cute when they are giant sized....

Nancy - this really suprises me. As petite as you are!

Which reminds me...wasn't there someone out there for whom I offered to dust off my whistle? Paula, do you recall? If so, please remind me who it was, because I forget for sure

You were not issued a whistle. If you have one, it is not an authorized whistle and will be confiscated. You may bark at people but no whistling.

I'm so jealous Lyz! Did you find some good buys??

I *adore* shopping. I did find some good buys. I'll give you a shopping trip report. (Feel free to ignore.)

Madeline and I took off on 35 W and 40 minutes later we arrived at the Jeffersonville Outlet Malls. I found a great parking space. I always (really ALWAYS) have to park by a curb, at the back of any lot. To miniminze other idiots throwing open their doors and dinging my car. I find a spot right by a tree/shrub area and park as far left as possible. (I do this everywhere. Even in rental cars. It's how I roll.) The weather is AWESOME. 63 and sunny. Sweaters only. We use the potty and head to Nike. Molli wants some pink and black tennis shoes. She found some locally but they were $109. Ummm, yeah, don't think so. We head in and find a pair for $29, in her size 10 - which is hard to find. I call her and she tells me how to text her a picture. Can't do it. I buy them and a black and pink basketball for Madeline, cause she asked sweetly and have I explained I enjoy buying things for my children? Next we head to the Gap. I find a striped sweater and look at Jeans. I think of Paula. The line to check out is L.O.N.G. so we go over to the kids area. I find a cute little pair of silver loafers for Maddi. We check out in the kids area right away cause there is no line. Score. Next we head to Coach. Ahhhhh. Now our Coach Outlet is VERY busy. They have to moniter how many people are in the store at one time do to the fire marshall. So it ends up being like getting into a bar with a velvet rope and a bouncer standing outside. The line wraps all down the sidewalk. As people come out, they let new people in. You either get in line or you walk by and scoff. I get in line. I'm not better than that. And frankly, I've decided I wouldn't want to be in there if they let everyone in at once. It's already a sea of humanity inside. Madeline isn't thrilled to be in line. She flutters all around whilst waiting. We get inside and I have to look at everything. I start on the right and work my way around. I find a black patent leather bag that makes me happy which is on sale and I have a 20% off coupon. Yeah Baby!!! We get in yet another line to pay. Oy! We check out and head to Justice (formerly known as Limited Two). I have a 40% off coupon here and find a pair of skinny jeans for Maddi and she purchases two webkinz with the $10 she got for her good report card. I'm not above bribery. Just sayin'. We are loaded down, tired and thirsty. We make our way to the end of the lot, pack up and head home. Yay!

I was following along with you in my mind's eye Lyz. I scored tons of stuff on sale the last time I was there. I plan on making a trip once I get to my goal. Momma has to have new clothes then, lol.

Amiee - hahaha - with the way your going, won't be long.

I forgot to say - Welcome Back Leanne! Jump right in.

E - loved the pics.

I can't wait to get to WDW. I have already started my shopping list. Don't want to forget anything.

I'm convinced that shiverring burns calories ;)

I always say my shoes come with paddles.

I actually wound up being not lazy at all... hit Sam's Club, Ross, Kohl's, and a s**t-ton of grocery stores (looking for something specific).

We need a mattress to go w/ new bedroom furniture (someday I will post a pic), and I wanted to check out the ones at Sam's -- they are a ton cheaper than the retail stores.

I was mostly looking at underwear as mine are getting ratty, but I also found a $3 pair of jeans at Sam's and a $12 pair of khaki green cargo pants at Kohl's, had a 15% coupon.

Lyz, sounds like a great afternoon!! I LOVE outlet shopping. But you know me and purses, so Coach would have been a scoff!

You were not issued a whistle. If you have one, it is not an authorized whistle and will be confiscated. You may bark at people but no whistling.

:lmao: My contraband whistle. Such a rebel I am. Ok, for now I'll just bark. But if comes blows, the whistle comes out

Loved your outlet TR. OH - and I am not exactly petite. Maybe not quite as tall as Kat, but a smidge over 5' 7".

EE - I so yearn for the stair climber again. I miss it terribly :sad1:

Kat- you rocked the shopping too! Such great deals you found. Don't you just love the feeling that you've somehow beat the system?

The weather here today is GORGEOUS. Sadly I don't think I'll get too much "outside" time. Expecting to go to church soon, then Becca & I are going to do a cake decorating class this afternoon, and onto a 5:00 performance by one of her fellow voice students, followed by dinner at this awesome little Italian restaurant.

Ah, family reunion day with a bunch of people I don't know. I thought reunions were usually in the summer. Who knows with this group. Grandma's side of the family gets together on 4th of July each year and is a blast (huge mix of everything between lovable rednecks and affluent CEO's - and we ALL get along). This time, it's Grandpa's side and it's being thrown together by somebody who thinks she better than everybody else (basically, we are bringing food for our families to eat instead of it being a potluck). I'm not looking forward to this one. Oy!

WHAT? Bringing your own food? Potluck I get, but "pack your own brown bag lunch?" odd to me. I'm sure you can find some way to have fun. Oh and be thankful you don't have to live with the "I'm better than you so bring your own sandwich" woman.
