In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Secondly, Lisa--OMG! You are evil! And NO ONE can start calling me that. Seriously, I will retaliate and it will be AWFUL. Word.

.

I ain't got no fear of shrimps. Okay, lttle one. :lovestruc And your shoe size don't even get me started....

Hey maybe it's littlefoot. :lmao:

Of course down and dirty is a good thing. What's wrong with you two? :lmao:But I don't know if he shows that side live or just for Canadian TV early in his career.

Just remember what they say about payback....

And FWIW, my shoe size is a kids' 3.5/4. Yes, really. Riley just surpassed me, so now he hands his shoes down to me! But we share cleats. How sad is that?

Yes, definitely will be able to drive no matter what. And no, I don't think any of them would mind. I have seen all of them drink before and if the situation was reversed (and Riley sleeps over at each of their houses on a regular basis), I know that I wouldn't mind if they had a drink or two. But still...it seems odd to me. At least something I should think about as opposed to just take for granted, if that makes sense.

Makes perfect sense. I'm always a bit more cautious around other peoples kids. Not sure exactly why, just am. And no, I wouldn't have an issue if one of my kids was at a gf's house and she had a drink or two.

Middle School. <sigh> The ugliest years in a childs life.

I decided to check my university email and low and behold, my advisor is a trip planning fiend. We are taking a trip to DC as a group in 2012 and she has already booked our hotel. It looks like a cool one too. I thought the DIS has some trip planning peeps. Wow!

My son has a bigger foot too. Wow, that's tiny!

Right on the money Nancy. Middle school was horrible.

:rotfl: It's hi lar ious. I wouldn't share shoes with anyone, much less a stinky boy!

Amiee - sounds great!!!

Let me tell you about something I found during my wondering thru Walgreens! It's freaking awesome. It's called DeMert nail enamel Dryer. It's an aersol can of finishing spray. I put it to the test this morning. I painted my nails this morning. 2 coats. Sprayed the DeMert on. Waited for about 3 minutes then dried my hair with the hair dryer. Using my hands the whole time. Nary a nick, wrinkle, smudge. Best stuff ever!

So is that a no on Erotica? Liz - you've sent us astray. Shame on you. ;) I give up. :surfweb:

I'll get you my pretties OMG Erika - don't do my lines. I was the Wicked Witch of the West. So proud - everyone wanted Glinda or Dorothy. Nope. I only had eyes for the future Alphaba. Practised (liike that Kelly:laughing:) over and over again for the audition and got it.

Oh how I loved it. :lovestruc

Okay - must finally catch up.

Good Morning...

I am exhausted today... Skipped the gym last night because I was so tired. Getting a cold so that is not helping either. Blah...

OK - sounds like this bunch needs some motivation to get through the blahs and get everyone back on track. Hmmm what to do??? Let me think on this one and see what I can come up with.

In the meantime - hang in there everyone!!! Even one little step in the right direction is forward progress right? All of those little steps count!!!

Talk to you all later....

How are you feeling Paula?

What the he!!'s got into you? :lmao:

Remember, remember, the 5th of November.....

I think we do need some motivation, I know I do for certain!

Well tonight is Bonfire Night, but ive decided not to go to a bonfire and eat all the yummy things, Im going to go to my aqua aerobics class instead then watch some fireworks from my garden when I get home! Thats my little step in the right direction for today!

Erika - sounds like you've had some rubbish to deal with! Did you manage to get hold of your hubby?

Hope everyone is having a great day :upsidedow

Oh gosh. How I hate laws. We used to have bonfires in our backyard all the time. Take away all the fun crap.

Oh my! Horrible news! I'm so very sorry and will remember Joy and her family.

Yes Erika. That - boy - no words.

And I'm sorry about your friend. I love what you said about showing Riley that you are with him and not with someone who did something to him. (Hopefully she'll see where she's going. It's so frustrated to see someone self destruct)

You know - it's funny. My mother loved her father. Just loved him. And he was an a$$ in some ways. Once when I was little in front of - I don't know - thirty of my relatives he did an awful thing and she cared about him.

I had received - let me try to explain it - a plastic sundae drink/cup for Christmas. And he thought it was real. And in front of all my cousins and aunts and uncles and siblings said, "Viby (his pet name - Violet) no wonder your child is so fat. Look at her!". Can you imagine how horrid that would be from him - but in front of everyone!! And she only had space to try to explain to him that it's plastic - like a child to a parent. Ie. no space for what he did. Only space to make her father know that she had done no wrong. She was still his "girl".

I hadn't thought about it for the longest time. A couple of weeks ago - my mother was reminscing about her wonderful father. And she's at the end of her life - so why spoil it all for her. She truly feels that. He was by no means evil. But it kills me how one person can be something to one and something completely different to another. Fascinates me.

But your line about Riley made me think about her lack of protection. You're a wonderful mother Erika. Truly a wonderrful mother.

Dawn! You are just doing so great!!!! I'm proud of you.

Stealing cutie's words. Yes Dawn - so true. I'm so very happy for you.

Paula - Horseradish always helps me with colds. I will mix it spicy mustard and spread it on a sandwich and chase it with some steamy soup. Wasabi helps too.

.

Indian food is a good yummy cure. :lovestruc At least that's the story I've made up. Yum. Yum.

Cathie. You ARE. You are ready. You're here.

Listen, who said it would be easy? Who said it would all click one day? Who said you'd be ON and never off? No one!

You won't. It won't be like that. But it's a great lesson for marriage and motherhood and your future career.

Some days you will wonder why you got yourself into any of those situations. You'll roll over and think, really? WHY did I get married? Or look at your kids and think, OMG, I so did not sign up for this!

It will happen again and again, everywhere in your life.

You're ready, babe. You're here. You're on your path, and while you can and will make mistakes and have setbacks, you are right where you belong, always.

Trust me on this.

Liz - I just thought that this was so beautiful. So very lovely. :lovestruc

Just saw an extended New Moon trailer. Can't wait!!! Swoon! Thud!

And since this is a weight loss thread, didn't make it to the gym today, but walked during lunch.

:lmao:

Amiee - we are all at 100%. Mol is acting like an entitled 13 year old again instead of a tired, sad little girl.

I planned a trip for the 3rd week in December. To WDW. Now I'm all hyper aware of everything that has to get done before we leave and then end of the year sneaks up on me. I even bought next years calendars today![/B][/COLOR]

Free dining Lyz? I booked one for one around that week but had to cancel. So exciting.

And glad to hear about the family. :lovestruc

H3LL$ Bells Lisa!!!! Your a superstar and we didn't even know! Good job. And the "down 2" - even betta!

I'll forgive you for taking MY SPOT this time.

Kat - The song "Popular" from Wicked - is SO FREAKING good. I was turned onto it by a fan fic. Bella had set it as her ring tone for when Alice called and it's so appropriate. I've played it 20 times in the last 2 days and I think of you and Alice.

THose lyrics. Priceless. The pompous princess - priceless.

I've decided to make you my new project.

You don't have to do that.

I know! That's what makes me so nice.
:lmao:

Did I tell you guys that one of the times I saw it Oprah was in the audience. :surfweb: Two rows down from me.

What are you talking about? Down and Dirty? (I keep putting in options but erasing - cause one persons down and dirty is another persons everyday.)

Oh how I would have loved to have seen the options. :lmao: ONe person's down and dirty is another person's everyday :lmao::rotfl::lmao:. Priceless cutie.

He's raunchy by nature. Truly. I read a very enlightening article about hiim years ago. Raunchy. I suspect a bit of a womanizer - I just personally suspect that. Not in the disgusting way - as in trouble staying true to girlfriends. He's alluded to that by making statements about "time to grow up".

Big flirt. Huge. Quite entertaining. And you know what I love about him and men like him - he'll flirt with anyone - any age - any looks. I love men like that. Truly.

Have fun Kelly - when is it? Did you say next year? I can't remember. I should go back.

I do know that Charles has been in Toronto for 3 days, and he should have now left to go to Victoria. Hes in Canada for an 11 day tour :thumbsup2

Oh yeah - he's opening the Royal (Winter Fair) in Toronto today/yesterday? - I did know that.

Having severe post Disney blues today. (sigh) Carlos and I agreed that we probably wouldn't be going on vacation next year because we are going to try to save for the eventual wedding that will be coming up....but oh how I miss the mouse! I'd even settle for Disneyland, and driving there in my car so we didn't have to pay for plane tickets or rental car....It's a newer car, it'll make it lol.

I so would love to snap my fingers and be there right now.

OMG! I WAS JUST GOING TO ASK THAT
:rotfl2:

But Reek. holy crap. Nearly choked. THAT my friend is priceless.

 I mean Liz did say the worse thing you could do with the name or something like that. I'm out of ideas.

Mornin' gals! :goodvibes

So. I was "on" this week. "off and on" is probably more accurate. Exercise was awesome. Water & food were excellent some days, mediocre others. I tracked 4 days out of the 7. And I did avoid alcohol *almost* all week. Last night I caved a bit and sampled a bottle of hard cider that one of my customers at the orchard brought to me. It was his first attempt, and he was looking for feedback, so I was kind of obligated to help him out :rolleyes1 The end result is I lost 1.5 pounds as of this morning. :thumbsup2

But it kills me how one person can be something to one and something completely different to another. Fascinates me.

It fascinates me as well.

and Lisa - I was so wrapped up in Erika's nickname (snickering now....) I completely forgot to give you props for your BL status! Way to go!

Lyz- I'll have to find that nail stuff for Becca. She's constantly changing her colors; each more hideous than the last :scared1: kidding, sorta. I'm just not a fan of the sparkly bright blue. But whatever - it's just nail polish.

EE - another road trip? FUN! I really like D.C. 2012 seems so far away still. Gosh it seems like just yesterday that the world was all in a tizzy about the whole Y2K thing

Erika- hope you survived your overnight adventure

Yeah, 2012 seems like very far away. Our advisor sent us another email last night to explain why she is jumping the gun on planning - the hotel she booked gave us a sweet discount for booking multiple years (and they have a $1 cocktail bar, lol). This is her first year as advisor and she really is doing a great job.

ETA - Another public service announcement from your friendly bill collector. I just checked my work email and have a message about Bank of America. They are being hit with a huge phishing attack (that's where fraudsters try to obtain info from unsuspecting victims through emails). Don't link to a financial institution through an email, always type in the web address. I am sure all of you know this, but maybe there are some lurkers out there who don't.

You guys talk a lot whilst im sleeping! :rotfl:

Happy Friday Afternoon! We have a warm spell going on - frost on my windshield this morning, 60 degrees today and close to 70 tomorrow. :worship:

That weather sounds so nice - its just cold, rainy and frosty here!

Quick question...so my usual routine on Friday night is to have a drink or two. Really just one or two over the course of a few hours. But I have other people's kids here. What do you think? (I normally drink rum and diet or something like that, so it would look like I was just drinking soda.)

Yes, I am unbelievably late weighing in on this one, but if I was a parent I would have no problems with you having a drink or two :)

It probably shouldn't matter to me what a bunch of 10 year old boys think of me, but it SO does.

Of course it does! I would have been delighted! :cloud9:

Still haven't caught up but I have another guess.....

Erotica? :lmao::rotfl:

:scared1::rotfl2:

Of course down and dirty is a good thing. What's wrong with you two? :lmao:But I don't know if he shows that side live or just for Canadian TV early in his career.

I was hoping it was a good thing - I liked the sound of it! :rotfl:

Practised (liike that Kelly:laughing:)

:thumbsup2

Have fun Kelly - when is it? Did you say next year? I can't remember. I should go back.

It is next year - the 6th of May! I cannot wait! We've been waiting for so long for him to announce tour dates!

I can see the raunchy side of him - last week he guest hosted a teatime chat show for one night and he was very raunchy, I loved it!!
And yes, I know EXACTLY what you mean about him flirting with anyone. On the show two of the guests were women - one was a young actress, really hot, around 26ish I think and the other one is a morning TV presenter, mid 40's, more conservative, still hugely attractive and he shamelessly flirted with them both - actually with the TV presenter more because shes a 'Trekkie'! :lmao:

I think the show will be really entertaining (I mean hes hugely talented), little bit raunchy, lots of fun!

Kelly - When is it that you are headed to Florida? Very soon, yes?

It is - I fly down to London on the 19th of November, stay overnight at the airport hotel then fly to Florida on the 20th! Im very excited!
I get my itinerary at some point in the next week so I'll be able to give more details! :)

Nancy! Great Loss!
Lisa! Awesome Job!

Regarding shoe size - This topic was just on the radio here yesterday - how kids feet are bigger today than ever and bigger than their parents.
Carsyn and I both are at a 8 1/2 - Treyner is a 13 and Baylor is a 12 currently. Chad wears 11 1/2 - 12. My Dad wears size 14 and I have an uncle, 6'7 who wears a 15. So the boys were doomed.

Weird though - Chad's Dad is kinda small - about 5'9 maybe max and wears an 8 1/2 shoe.

I can't imagine a 3-4 in a kids size. At the same time is it hard to find shoes you like E?

For those of you who have had kids - did your feet grow after you were pregnant?

Free dining Lyz? I booked one for one around that week but had to cancel. So exciting.

No free dining. But part of the pkg. I feel like I got a good deal. Port Orleans French Qtr, dining & park tickets $2,200. Week before Christmas. :cool1:

THose lyrics. Priceless. The pompous princess - priceless.

I've decided to make you my new project.

You don't have to do that.

I know! That's what makes me so nice.
:lmao:

Did I tell you guys that one of the times I saw it Oprah was in the audience. :surfweb: Two rows down from me.

I HAVE got to see this show.

:lmao: "obligated" - great job on the loss.

Lyz- I'll have to find that nail stuff for Becca. She's constantly changing her colors; each more hideous than the last :scared1: kidding, sorta. I'm just not a fan of the sparkly bright blue. But whatever - it's just nail polish.

Exactly!!!! And with Maddi, she HATES waiting for her nails to dry. No brainer.

For those of you who have had kids - did your feet grow after you were pregnant?

My feet did get bigger during pregnancy, but they got smaller when I lost weight.

I'm running over to the outlet malls today. Jeffersonville Amiee.

Hi ladies

It feels like forever since I have been here. Been a very busy week. I started a new online class and it feels like it is consuming every extra minute I have.

I will go back and read everyone's posts. Just wanted to drop a "hello" in to everyone! :goodvibes

DawnC

Hey gang....

What a morning so far... was at work at 6:30 to watch a crane set up and set some scaffolding, but really I just froze my bummocks off - it was 29F when I left this morning!!!! Then it was straight to the gym for another wonderful round of circuits by Jesse - the man is trying to kill me again - just sayin and then 40 minutes on the treadmill. All of that was done by 11:00 and now I am catching up on some all important couch time - YEAH!!!!

Lisa - I am starting to feel better, but still have a little cold thing going on. It is annoying more than anything else, but I am pushing through - maybe I'll make some chicken soup today???

Also - you totally rock you BL rockstar!!!! So flippin proud of you!!!!

Kelly - I saw Michael Buble in concert two years ago with my mom and it was one of the best shows ever. He is a total devil boy, but extremely entertaining. You are going to love the show.

Erika - I'm sorry, but how could Riley's friends not think you are cool? Own it baby for you are the ultimate cool mom - freakishly small feet and all.

Nancy - Whoo Hoo on the loss babe!!! Gotta love it when the scale rewards your efforts. You earned it!!! Mmmmm thinking about draft cider now. Loved that it college when the Irish pub carried it. Good times...

Lyz - I so want to hide in your suitcase for your trip. I loved WDW during Christmas. Great find on the drying spray. For the next time I decide to paint my nails, I will have to try it because I hate waiting for polish to dry.

Liz - how are you doing??? Working for the weekends now? (ok - bad pun, but I have been listening to a lot of 80's music lately)

Amiee - A trip to DC sounds like fun! Great city and awesome public transportation system. Very clean and very safe. Don't get me started on all of the architecture... way too much to take it. If you go to the National Cathedral, be sure to ask about the Darth Vader gargoyle..

Amy - off doing something fun this weekend I hope...

Cathie - how are you doing? Still loving the new and improved omlettes?

Dawn - how are the classes going? Did you meet with the trainer yet?

Ronda - how is the weekend going so far?

OK - off to shower and get some lunch. My tummy is rumbling away for some fuel...

OMG, there were several posts in there that made me spew my tea at the monitor!

Lisa and Lyz--you both have me cracking up!

Paula & Nancy--great job on good workouts and loss! I am crawling back on the wagon tomorrow. I would hop right on, but I don't think I can lift myself!

Yeah, it can be hard to find good shoes. But kids 4 translates to women's 5 or 5.5, so I have adult options. The problem is that when I find a women's 5 or 5.5, it is almost always narrow. And I need a regular and sometimes even a wide width.

Lyz--really??? You won't borrow shoes from a girlfriend??? HI LARIOUS.

Kelly--getting excited for you!

DawnC--welcome back! What class? What university? Do tell!
