In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Ronda--great job on the 5-miler! WOO HOO! Did you r/w combo or run the whole thing? So exciting!

R10/W3. That's what I plan to use in January. The mid week runs are getting longer, too.

My brother may be coming for marathon weekend. He's been following my progress and says I've inspired him. He's never had any problems with weight, but wants to get in better shape.

Ronda

I need a good kick in the butt as I am really starting to slack with my food - hello browning cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory? Yes - that is what I ate yesterday...:sad2:

Don't be too hard on yourself Paula. You've been plugging away like a machine for quite a long time now. Crap happens somedays. It was just a little detour on the road of life. Owning it and moving on, yes? :flower3:

Ronda - love that you are an inspiration to your family! :thumbsup2

Morning, errrr, Afternoon.

I'm tracking. And just at 450 calories for bkfst & lunch.

Kat - just think, you could have worked at Walt Disney World!!!

Paula - I agree. Don't be too hard on yourself. You are allowed to have cheesecake. You can't go the rest of your life without cheesecake. Well, heck, I wouldn't want to.

Ronda - I also agree, awesome that your brother is inspired.

Nancy, I'm just going to let you talk for me, okay.

Cathie - post once you get your elliptical work done.

Thanks guys. The cheesecake was pure heaven and totally worth it. Just need to own it and move on now.

In general, my eating has been waivering at best for the past month ish so a good kick in the butt is what I need to keep myself from totally losing control. Trying to be mindful, but not hard on myself. Not an easy balance...

Lyz - you are tracking. So envious... Can't seem to get myself to do that these days.

Ronda - you are an inspiration. Look at you go! Awesome that your brother will be ther to support you at the big race.

Nancy - so love it when you are on...

Go Lyz!

And yeah, Paula, cut yourself some slack. You are a total rock star!

Hey all. Just got back from lunch. All the eliptical machines were taken. :( So I used the treadmill. I tried running at first and my knees had something to say about, so after about a minute and a half, I wound up just talking for 13 more minutes. Did 15 minutes total. It wasn't really even a brisk walk but anytime I tried to go faster my knee started hurting. Grr. That's one of the reasons I LOVE the eliptical, my knees don't hurt! I feel like 15 minutes wasn't enough. After that I did 30 crunches on the ball, really feeling that in my abs still haha.

I'll do my wii fit when I get home so I can feel like I at least did a LITTLE more. It's frustrating to want to be "on" and have all the motivation, and then come across this road block that I don't feel like I can control. Stinkin knee

Count me in for a challenge too. I struggle to post here, but have figured out how to make it work from my phone, so it should be a bit easier.

LOVED all the halloween pics! I ran a 5k on Halloween. Best 5k since the spring, so I was psyched about that. And my TREAT was free pints of beer after the race!!

Yes, Little D is getting so grown up. just a smidge under the height requirement for BTMR and splash. I posted that particular pic because that just encompasses her personality right now! Everything is dramatic!!

Awesome day off today with just me and Delena. Short work week and then we are off to CSR for the weekend.

Ronda-your intervals sound good. For marathon training I usually start out at 5 run, walk 1 and then once i get warmed up I tend to go longer, Maybe 10 min of running. For the 5k's and 10k's I run the whole distance. I could maybe go 8 miles right now with no walk breaks. On a good day.
I plan on using my marathon intervals for the half I am running in a few weeks.

Hi everyone...

Made it back home in one piece. Long day - meeting, followed by lunch with my friend and her niece who is at college in Rochester and finally teh long drive home. Way tired tonight.

On the plus side, I did find Lisa and Kelly's version of Smarties at a grocery store - yum!!!! Glad I only bought one small box of them so I can't do too much damage with them.

Ate way too much today and am so not looking forward to the weigh in tomorrow. Gotta love the post Halloween chocolate hangover right...

Hope you are all doing well...

Did you separate the colours? Did ya? :goodvibes

When you eat your smarties do you eat the red ones last - do you eat them very slowly or crunch them very fast......blah - blah - it's a song. :rotfl:

Kelly - OF COURSE your opinion matters. Don't be silly. And you said some good stuff. Truly, I am taking it to heart.

Lyz - the girls were so cute, I had to show Nick the pics. :goodvibes

Kat, E - LOVE Glee. Kat have we talked Kristin C? Just looking at her makes me happy. She's so funny. I watched Pushing Daisies for her.

Jodi and I were almost Glee this year - she wanted to be Sue!!!

Weighing candy...really? I'm too busy looking for the good stuff to eat! I don't count it, either. And we got almost no trick or treaters. We weren't here, but we did leave out candy!

So, on. Sure. Let's get a system. Post food? Workouts? Text each other after every meal? I could get next to that! It's hard for me to be on here at work - impossible - but I can text. And Kat, you know I can't call you at 11pm! But we all know E is up!!!

How is Genevieve Liz? I'm smiling as I say her name the other way. How is she? Cute?

Job. I need the goods on the position. As in yesterday. That's the best I can do at being aggressive. SO ANSWER!:lmao:

Hey all.

In the midst of studying for my final midterm. This is my procrastination :lmao:

Had a good weekend. Rough night tonight. Actually rough day. I am getting sick again so I'm crabby. Another day of making choices whether or not to let things bother me. Could have made some much better choices today.

This week I am vowing to put my nose to the grindstone and hold myself very accountable and to some very strict rules. Exercise every day. Eating on plan EVERY day. Tracking EVERY day. I find the best way to get myself motivated is to dive in headfirst. And my motivation has been so up and down this last week that I NEED something to get it jump started.

So exercise; here's the plan. Tomorrow it'll be 20 mins on the eliptical/treadmill (I prefer eliptical but we only have two in the gym at work so I might not be able to snag one). Tuesday is the abs class at work. Wed will be treadmill/eliptical agian, Thursday abs class again, and Friday is a class called Butts and Guts at work. I hear it's intense. I'm almost excited. :cloud9:

Wish me luck.

How did it go Cathie?

You can ALWAYS call me. I can't always answer, but I do my best. And, witness the 1AM that I am posting this, I am up at 11PM waaay more often than not. I usually go to bed between 12:30 and 1 but before midnight is very unusual unless I am sick.

I would never weigh candy. Weigh? No, eat. Maybe this is why I am fat?

As to a system... not sure. Texts might work? I get 200 per month, though, so after every meal might max me out. Emails?

Kristin Chenoweth... AMAZING voice. Have I mentioned lately how absolutely addicted I am to Wicked? Like bartering for videos of the Broadway performance of Kristin and Idina Menzel? I listen almost exclusively to the soundtrack, lately. Love.

If you asked me what my dream job would be, it would definitely be musical performance. Preferably musical theater. I wanted to be a music major in college, even had full scholarship offers and did have a partial music scholarship where I chose, but I just couldn't justify what I would do with it other than teach (and yeah, me? teach?). Granted, I only have mediocre talent, and stage fright like you wouldn't believe, so this is only fantasy/dream, but still...

(... and to Lisa, even typing this out makes me want to go back and edit/remove, but just for you, I am leaving it.)

I loved this post. :lovestruc

I know darn well that you are not mediocre Kat. I KNOW IT!!!!:lovestruc I'm so envious.

Lovely. :goodvibes

Good Morning Everyone! :dance3: I have a love/hate relationship goin' on with this whole changing of the clocks. Hate that it's dark so early but LOVE that it's light again when I'm first getting up in the morning!

Bring it here. I heard on the news this morning that a local dentist is paying kids $5 a pound for it!

:lmao:

Paula - intercontinental candy! Love it  Thank God these holidays only happen once a year.

That reminds me - I read/heard something somewhere. It's a holiDAY not a holiWEEK or holiMONTH. So, enjoy the day when it is, then be done with it. (in my case that means all the candy is getting shipped to the cadets at Norwich! :thumbsup2)

I'm in. And "on". Had a really great weekend, and am starting to feel the benefits of it! I think I'll be back to posting food/exercise on a daily basis again. Maybe not a complete detailed breakdown of everything but general totals

 *almost* excited. That struck me as funny. And yes - good luck with all that! I'm sure you can do it. Just put it at the top of your "to-do" list everyday. Once it's done, you can cross it off!

Lisa - thought of you last night. I was grocery shopping when I heard a man in the next aisle sound a bit dismayed because he couldn't find any peanut butter m&m's.

Poor man. And it was a man, eh? Interesting.

Go Lyz!

And yeah, Paula, cut yourself some slack. You are a total rock star!

Excuse me while I steal this advice. You are a rock star Paula. Cut yourself some slack. :goodvibes

Mmmmm. Edward. I've seen the VF pictures. Sigh. I mean of course its not really edward, but more RPatz, but there are a few of him playing a piano that are edwardy. And one of him eating a lobster that is just kinda random. I can't wait to go buy it when it comes out.

I love this one...

and a NM one....

And ugh. DH is sick again. If i hear him complain one more time about his little sniffles I am going to scream!!

See? I knew I could count on Amy for an Edward fix! Thanks, Aim! But yeah, I am definitely more about Edward than RPatz. Though in this pic, OMG, Edward in Maine!

There just don't seem to be as many edward pics this time around. Probably because it is NM and I also think they are trying to keep it more under wraps than twilight. Which is a good thing I think.

this lobster one is funny...and the rolling rock!

ok, going back into hiding with my edward pics now...

Nancy - so love it when you are on...

yeah. It's been awhile. But it feels really great to be getting back in the game.

Trying to be mindful, but not hard on myself. Not an easy balance...

EXACTLY! I struggle with this more often than I care to think about.

Amy - Yay on the 5K! And Lil' D! OMG almost tall enough for the big kid rides!

Cathie - bummer that the equipment you wanted was all occupied! But kudos for making the best of the situation!

Hey everyone...

OK - back from the gym and another turn on the treadmill. Ugh - so not into it tonight as I think I am getting sick. Hoping it is just a cold since that is what it feels like right now.

JC was not pretty - up 1.8 pounds beh... I ate the food so what can you do. My JC consultant gave me a challenge this week to help me try to stay on track and you all know how I love a good challenge. I am feeling more on already.

Off to catch up on some work and then some sleep. I have an early day tomorrow since we are officially starting onsite work tomorrow. Yeah!!!!

Hasta manana...

Oh Lisa - I had to share them with the family so there was no sorting of colors, but I would have so done that if given the opportunity. I do it with M&M's all the time...

And the challenge was.....????

Was RPatz in Maine? What is with all of the Maine-y photos?

Sorry - should have said that...

Since my eating has been way off lately (and I mean way off - exercise is what has been carrying my losses for a month or two lately) she challenged me to follow my daily plan for at least three days this week - no cheating!!! I am picking Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday to do this due to some obligations that are forcing me to eat non JC food. On the days when I have these obligations, I need to follow my plan to the letter and eat sensibly while out and no extras. So the schedule looks like this:

Tuesday - JC breakfast, lunch Mom's pot roast for dinner (she is making it for me in celebration of the big presentation from last week) / training w/ Jesse
Wednesday - JC all day / cardio workout
Thursday - JC all day / training w/ Jesse
Friday - JC breakfast, lunch Dinner at a friend's house for a birthday party / no workout
Saturday - JC all day / training with Jesse
Sunday - Sunday breakfast after church and JC dinner / long walk - hopefully outside

So there it is - the plan. Counting on you all to keep me honest this week. Need to get the food under control and be mindful again.
Monday - JC all day

Hey all. Another night bites the dust. Whatever challenge is decided, I'm game. I need to shake things up a bit because I am eating like crap.
