Is Kelly ok E? It's been a while since she had a seizure right (excluding surgery)?

Thanks for asking EE. Yeah, she's fine. I just shot her up with tranqs. and she conked out. Not really sure what happened tonight. You're right, aside from surgery last month it has been a while since her last seizure. My guess, though, is that her core temp got too low. She is super sensitive to temperature changes (common in seizure patients) and I think she was too chilled for too long and the drop in her temp caused her to seize. But really, seizure is just such a scary word for an event that is not usually harmful at all. We just let them run their course for the most part. Now, when she had several in a row, yeah that was a problem that required hospitalization. But that hasn't happened in years, thankfully.

Seriously, no one in your area does "treats" for adults? My friend Judy lives in "the" neighborhood for trick-or-treating. They get tons and tons and tons of kids. So Judy hands out dixie cups of wine to all the parents that she knows who show up at the door! So funny! And the scary thing is that it is the adults who try to hit her house up a second and third time in the night!

Oh yes, we have "treat houses" as well. Of course, now that my kids have all "aged out" of trick or treating, I'd look a little silly showing up by myself for the adult treats

Tonight Becca and her bff will be taking said friends little brother and sister out in their neighborhood - the rest of us will be at BIL & SIL's corn maze, which is tons of fun

I wish we were all drinking somewhere tonight too.

Cam's team ended up picking up a fourth games at today's tourney. Four games in one day!! Just finishing now. But get this...tiny little cammie caused an opposing teammate to have to carried off the field!!! Omg she took her out hard (totally legally ... She didn't intentionally hurt her). Is it wrong that I am proud???

Back from totally fun trick-or-treating. Went with a large group this year...about 6 parents and 15 or so kids. And one of the dads pulled along a wagon filled with ice...and beer! So the adults could have beverages all the way along the route. OMG, so fun! Pics coming.

Weather here was cruddy last night. Off & on rain showers. We still had fun though. We get all dressed up and go to BIL & SIL's corn maze and torment people. I was a witch (a real stretch, I know ) Sadly no pic's as my neice forgot to charge her camera battery I absolutely love messing with people's heads I would sneak around and switch paths so when people came across me they thought they'd already been that way before. There were 2 groups that I confused so badly that they were lost in the maze for HOURS.


Heading out for a run here soon, then packing up all the extra Holloween candy to send to Seth!

Nancy - I LOVE how you are evil in the corn maze. OMG those people probably have nightmares.

We do not have those treat house - I wish we did. Next year I need to get into a good group that goes to one of our towns and drinks and walks. We saw some parents doing that, but since she's so small and our school is across many towns, we don't have that group yet.

We went to my inlaws' house. I hung out with my MIL and painted my nails for last night and the Nicks took Emily around. Then my inlaws ran out of candy and we took some from Em's bag to hand out! HA!

After that, Nick went home - my inlaws took Em to mass - yes, on Halloween, bc they are good Catholics, unlike me - and I got ready at Jodi's. We met my BFF from when I was 8, Jackie, and her husband (my friend since we were 15) dropped us off - you guys remember Jackie and Andrew, right? He's Nick's very good friend, too. So the three of us went out and then two more girlfriends joined us. It was very fun. Drinking downstairs, then we went upstairs for the band. Awesome covers, danced all night!

Liz - I came back to your post, I've been thinking about it today. Now I haven't read your blog and I feel a little bit out of my depth because I don't have children but I was once a child and what I personally remember from my childhood is things like my first girls only shopping trip with my mum (this is a tradition that has carried on to this day!), dancing in the kitchen EVERY Sunday morning to the radio whilst we made breakfast, my mum taking me and my brother to watch our favourite football team EVERY week, even though she was a life long supporter of a different team - things like that are what stick in my head. I don't remember a spotless house and perfect meals, which doesn't mean that we didn't have them, just that as a child they weren't that important to me.
Anyway, sorry for babbling and I hope it helps somewhat!

After reading the thread, I called Liz--was right in the middle of trying to be a good friend, when Kelly has a seizure. Hang up on Liz, deal with Kel, call Liz back...*sigh* She's fine. Well, they are BOTH fine. Kelly and Liz. Finally carved a pumpkin with the kids, and just now sent them upstairs. Time to make a stiff drink, don't you think??

For those who asked me to reveal the concert that I went to...It was New Kids on the Block. Have to say, they still have a soft spot in my heart after all of these years and taking a road trip with my close friend from high school to relive our youth was awesome.
