In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Hey team...

Donna - welcome to this bunch. We are a crazy group, but you won't find a better support group anywhere. I, too am sorry for your friend's diagnosis. Sending hugs. Oh and I am with Kat as a pretend runner. I plan on walking the princess half despite what anyone here tells you.

Lyz - I can't hula hoop either. Its the hips. Can't salsa dance either. Oh bother...

Cathie - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Celebrate girl - you earned it!

Work is kicking my butt today so not much time to chat. Thinking of you all!

E - so jealous on the three more sleeps til WDW... looking at flights for the princess half is just not the same because it is like 145 sleeps away... See - not quite the same. :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday Cathie!

Welcome Donna! I wasn't a runner either, but I didn't want to miss out on the princess because I have grown close to the thread team. I just started wogging. So sorry about your friend. I'm Amiee or EE.

Lyz - my lack of coordination prevents me from participating in the Hula.

E - Jealous over the 3 sleeps. I hope you have a great time and I have just enough time to FedEx that halo.

Paula - I wouldn't sweat the gain. I know you will get back to negative in no time.

Kat - any update on the work situation?

Kelly - how is your back?

Lisa - I still owe you pictures

Nancy - it's the day after Columbus Day. Are things running better?

If I missed anybody, I am sorry!

On to me, my group gets to dress me as a clown this Thursday. Yes, I will have pictures and details.

Thank you so much ladies!!!! Paula, I will definitely be doing some celebrating on Friday. I'll make sure Carlos gets some good pictures-not sure I'll be fit to operate the camera by the end of the night. My best friend is making jello shots :scared1:

Nah, not really. I wish I could be more like her, actually. She has all of the drive and passion without the competitive b*tchiness that I have! :lmao:

:rotfl2:

Kelly - how is your back?

Its not doing too bad, thank you! The regular exercise is really helping and I start Aqua Aerobics soon!

On to me, my group gets to dress me as a clown this Thursday. Yes, I will have pictures and details.

A clown! :scared1: Clowns scare me! :lmao: (I still want pictures though!)

The Gym was great, worked up a sweat on the treadmill and followed the little program that the instructor gave me!

Have a great night everyone :upsidedow

Nancy - tell me what's keeping you so busy?

Just *life* stuff. I've been working pretty much full time at the orchard, which is quite frankly physically exhausting. Then add in all the weekends I've been away recently and well, my "normal" life is enough to make just about anyones head spin (well, except possibly E. She's about as insane as I am I think...). Having Seth leave for college added more work to my load as well. He didn't do tons around here, but every day he'd do *something* - whether it was provide a ride to one of the kids, run an errand, do dinner dishes or help with evening animal chores. It all leaves me feeling so far behind the 8 ball. But Columbus Day is a big milestone on our calendar - as many of my obligations are now finished, and a few others will be winding down between now and Halloween, so I'll get a tiny break before the Thanksgiving pie crush!

(and drama club. Not sure when that's starting up. But God help me if there's a play before Christmas. I'll need to be institutionalized...)

Ugh - not good... Up the 1.9 pounds that I lost last week.

Bah. Sounds like you have a solid plan though. Today's Tuesday. Is there a family dinner in the plans for tonight?

It's so beautiful here in Ohio. High 50's, crisp, glorious.

not so beautiful here. But at least it's not SNOWING! Seth sent a picture today - accumulating snow in Vt. <ack> It's freakin' Columbus Day. What the he!! is up with that?

Donna, WELCOME!! We are all doing the princess half in March as well. E and Nancy are runners, and the rest of us are going to pretend we are.

Fake it 'til we make it  Random thought perhaps, but I need new shoes....

Speaking of hula hooping, I tried very hard to do this recently. I SO CAN'T!!! I don't understand. I could as a girl and now I have a womanly figure so there is even an indentation for the hoop!!!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am totally hula-hoop impaired myself. That's a skill I never developed. Ever.

Welcome Donna!

Happy Birthday Cathie!

Hey Nancy -

Snow in VT - that is just wrong...

Tuesday night dinner is on. The family is having baked pork chops, I am having JC chicken fettucine. Exciting huh...

Jesse gets to beat up on me tonight too... eh, just not feeling it tonight, but will be fine when I get there - I hope!

I'll check in later...

Just popping on to say that Erika picked the PERFECT weekend to go to WDW. The weather is going to be FREAKING fantastic. Highs in the upper 70's to low 80's and Lows upper 50's to 60's. Perfect.

Workin' on the RR.

Back from the gym and am tired. I did two circuits tonight. The first was squats w/ 30 pound dumbells followed by bent over rows with 25 pound weights and then shoulder presses with 17.5 pound weights. Circuit two was lunges with 25 pounds, followed by chest presses w/ the 25 pounds and then more bent over rows with a 60 pound barbell. Then I did bridges, but in a slightly different position than the normal one. Pinch your shoulders and lift your head so that your shoulders almost drop down and then raise your hips. It is a bizarre feeling. My body was almost vibrating trying to stabilize itself. Wierd... Feeling good, but tired.

Off to pack my food for tomorrow and then am heading to bed.

Nancy - Tuesday night dinner was good.. nothing exciting, but good...

It's supposed to be lower 50s here tomorrow. Bleah. From 79 today.

Food for today:
B: 1/2 cup trader joe's fiber cereal (60) mixed with french apple yogurt (80)
L: Salad (100)
S: Veggies (50) + spinach dip made with greek yogurt (50)
D: NY Strip (400), baked potato (100), green beans (50)
S: Jello SF Chocolate Mousse (60)

Total, 950. Leaving room in case I underestimated the steak...

Good Morning!

It's raining again and we have flash flood watches in the area. All this rain really concerns me. I better start taking some swimming lessons. I begged to my boss to have one day to catch up on everything (I am constantly being pulled into her office because she is clueless). So, that day is Friday. I'm going to be hidden in a conference room. I'm getting really tired of telling her the same thing over and over again.

Sorry for the vent so early in the AM.

48 Hours!!!

Remind me - what is the general plan for this trip? Where are you staying? How long are you there? My mind is scattered these days so I am not remembering much anymore.

Have a great day everyone!

hi

Just bought Treyner a ticket home for the weekend. We need to sit doen together and write out pro's and con's of each school he is looking at. I think he decided to stay at Fort Lewis through the end of the year. Too hard to transfer right now with deadlines and the stress is about ready to make him crack. I am actually worried about him. I have never heard him sound so frazzled. Coach is now saying he will let the guys know by Christmas who will not be asked to be back. Again - have been told - will let you know in 2 weeks since September. Treyner is at his limmit with the coach and has some words with him yesterday.

He will get here at 11:30 Sat morning and leave Monday morning to be back in classes by 10 am so he only misses one class Monday.

I will be checking in later.

Happy belated Birthday Cathie
E - have a great time

is and I think he wants to just change schools for soccer and be done.

We leave on Friday and return the following Friday, so a full week. Staying at the fabulous SSR. I know it isn't a lot of people's favorite DVC, but we really like it. And it works this time for us since Jeff is there for a conference and the conference is taking place at the Hilton in DTD. He can just walk over. Quick itinerary:

Friday - travel. Girls and I will likely hit DTD for dinner after checking in. The boys arrive around 9pm.
Saturday - Sea World. We are doing SW for a change of pace and we are also going to do their Halloween Party and trick or treat there instead of MNSSHP.
Sunday - Water Park, weather permitting. Probably Typhoon. If we can't do TL, then we will hit AK.
Monday - just me and kids as J is at his conference. DHS.
Tuesday - just me and kids again. MK. Meet up with J at DTD for dinner.
Weds. - Sleep in and have some pool time/resort time. Kids and I will do character meal at GF in the late morning. Jeff only has to work half a day this day, so after bfast we will head over to Epcot all 5 of us. FOOD AND WINE. Word.
Thursday - another slow morning. Resort and pool time all morning until after lunch. Then back to Epcot to finish Food & Wine.
Friday - travel back, but our flights don't leave till 2pm. So once we are packed up, we will either have some extra pool time or we may do another late-morning character meal and then head over to the airport.

Bah. Jealous.

Had a really good run this morning. 5 miles. Now I'm late for work. Whatev. The run was far more important to me today.....

YES! That is the attitude. The run/workout/whatever program anyone is on has to be given priority! Awesome job, Nancy!

Wish I was leaving for WDW in 48 hrs. Ah well, soon enough, soon enough.

Nothing to report, other than I love Walgreens. Love it.

E - Thanks for the itinerary. Can I hide in one of your suitcases? I so need an escape... Just kidding...

Nancy - yeah on the great run. And yes, sometimes work definitely needs to take a back seat to your workout. I have left early or taken the day off to get a workout in and have absolutely no guilt about it whatsoever.

Lyz - what did you get at Walgreens that is making you so happy?

Morning everyone!

E-have fun and a safe trip! I am so jealous of you!

Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes!

Today is a gloomy day here in Denver. Cold and a fog that just won't lift. Blah. Miss summer already. On a good happy note though, (kind of I guess?) we have started midterm reviews in my classes. I got my midterm grade in my composition class. Since it's all writing papers, she doesn't give us a test, just gives us our average and the mid-point of the semester. I got a 96. :) Then in my ethics class, which I SORELY hate because it has been so hard to understand (philosophy and I have never been best buds), we did our review last night and will take the test on Thursday. I really was thinking I could fail this class because it confuses the heck out of me, but I knew about most of what he was talking about on the review last night, so some of it must be sticking! :yay: History review and midterms are next week, and Thursday starts the review for Sociology for the test next Tuesday. I will be a studying fool the next week! :) I like getting to midterms just because it gives a really good feel for whether or not I'm keeping up in class and really learning anything or not.

Food-still doing good. Got a salad from Wendy's last night for dinner-I know, not the healthiest place for a salad but I had 5 bucks and 25 minutes to get to school from work, so it made do. Much better than my once-beloved bacon cheeseburgers. Breakfast today was cream of wheat and 2 boiled eggs. I really feel so good about myself when I can see myself getting back on track. Now if I can just get back on my motivational exercise track, I'll be a happy cookie!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic day!

Oh, and I want to start my trip report this weekend. Do you guys want me to let you know when it's up on the trip report board, or put it directly on here. It will be highly inundated with pictures, so I don't want to take up too much space or anyone's time :)

Wish I was leaving for WDW in 48 hrs. Ah well, soon enough, soon enough.

Nothing to report, other than I love Walgreens. Love it.

Um, why? Yo no comprende.

Packing is mostly done. All the kids, Jeff, and all of the "stuff" (ipod and cell phone chargers, camera and video camera, and all of that). Just have to pack for ME. Ugh. I am always the hardest to pack for. *sigh* Because I hate how I look in everything.

Why, why, why can't I buckle down and get these 15 freaking pounds off? Seriously, this should take like 3 months TOPS. And I just can't focus long enough to do it! Frustrated. Any time I have to either pack or dress up to go somewhere, I feel this way. And maybe that is the problem. For day-to-day life I can get by and feel ok. Since I work from home, I don't ever have to dress up. Pretty much live in my running and workout clothes.

But as soon as I have to get dressed to go somewhere either nice or special or where I will be photographed, ugh! I just fall into this funk of self-loathing.

Sorry. Didn't start this post meaning to spew that everywhere. Guess I didn't even realize it was there until I started typing it out.

Back to it.

E, I feel your pain. Except for the amount anyhow.

It looks like we will miss each other by hours. We should be checking into CSR around the time that you are leaving for the airport...

I can't believe that we go to WDW in a week. I honestly didn't even think about it until right now. Things are still totally crazy and not resolved at all, but I am hopeful.
