In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate, VOL 7! Princesses? Nope, just us Goddesses!

Morning everyone.

Had a very busy weekend that including drinking a bit more than I'd originally intended on Saturday.

WW meeting today-was up .6 lbs but almost absolutely convinced it was from the drinking. Have to be careful the rest of this month with all the Halloween parties coming up!

My birthday is tomorrow and it really feels like it snuck up on me. I'll be working and going to school until 10 pm, so not really doing anything special, except some time with the beyonce after school. I think my birthdays get more boring every year!

Hope everyone had a good weekend and is having a good start to the week!

Ho hum...

I hear you on this one sistah'

Jut got back from lunch. The PM in the office took us to a yummy five star steakhouse for lunch. OMG the sandwich I had was so good. I am blaming him if my weigh in tonight doesn't go well. :rotfl:

Back to the salt mines...

I started to read it this morning and just stopped. Too much "thinking" - you love Edward. Period. Hahaha - I'm such a snob. Tell me if it's worth reading all the way thru. Reading a real good one - "Edward Wallbanger". Not yet complete and "The Soverign Six" - just started but shaping up very pretty. Will email you links. LIZ - you still following "Coming to Terms" - that one hasn't been updated since August?

I bought a Pandora bracelet last Friday. Anyone else have one? I want to hear what charms you have. You know me, when I do something, gotta do it all the way.

Whoo - hoo!!! Time for me to call it a day and go home. Hate days like this when I am one of about six people in the entire building. It is spooky.

Off to run some errands and head to my Jenny Craig appointment.

Catch you later..

Hey everybody. It wasn't a holiday for us, but it was a casual day. :cool1: I'm sitting on a cushy sofa waiting for class to start. The rest of the classes are on fall break, but since we are 5 weeks, we have to be here. Oh well.

I just have a minute. Race went well, SLOW, but it was fun. Here's one pic before I do an actual RR later. I really want to write one since it was a totally different experience for me walking the whole thing.

And PAULA---You look fantastic!!!

WORD on Amy's legs! Can't wait for your full RR!

Ok, so I had to post this pic even though it is super tiny and you can't see anything. (I took it from all the way across the field from my phone.) But that is Cam next to the Coach and her co-captain (white tops and bright blue shorts). Just look at how freaking TINY she is compared to her teammates. (She is short anyway, of course, but she is playing 2 years up this year, so apparently she is A LOT smaller than everyone else.) Obviously I knew she was much smaller given that she is so much younger, but I didn't realize how much until I saw this picture! I will have to get a proper picture later this week at her game so I can really remember this.

Okay, back on, so back to posting food.

D: 1 broccoli/cheese stuffed chicken breast (190), half box Kraft spiral mac&cheese made w/ no butter or milk (260), steamed broccoli (30), 10 ff pringles (50)

Love the pic Amy! Looking forward to the RR.

So *hump* #1 is behind me now. (oy. That just sounds wrong, doesn't it :rotfl2:). Columbus Day was one of my "target dates" that I was looking to as a "if I can survive until then" target. Life should start to level out a bit for me now.

I had a not-so-bad day today. I didn't track, but I was definitely more mindful and purposeful in my eating today. Decent choices, in moderation. I'm feeling like it's definitely a step in the right direction!

EriKa - Cam is playing 2 years up and co captain of the team? Sheesh. You churn them out competitve.

Nancy - tell me what's keeping you so busy?

The boys approached the parents to ask about making this event a sleep-over for them and you could tell that they had planned it all out beforehand (thinking we might say no, I guess). And they said "We really need to keep our vibe going, you know...We have to stay connected so that we're all really in tune with each other on the field. It'll help our game tomorrow if we all stay together overnight..." We were DYING laughing.

HiLarIous!

:how did it go tonight?

Ugh - not good... Up the 1.9 pounds that I lost last week. No wonder though. Between TOM and the crap that I ate while shopping and travelling I am retaining water like a water bubbler at the moment. So, I am eating JC only for the next week and drinking lots of water to flush out my system. Hello - wake up call to Paula... Need to reign in the eating and now.

Walked my 5k on the treadmill yesterday and got 35 minutes in on the treadmill tonight. Struggled a bit on it tonight, but got it done! Am almost at a sub 14 minute mile pace. Aiming to be at 13 minute miles for the 1/2!

Nancy - so glad you survived your first milestone. When is the next one?

I love the pic E. I just want to pick her up and hug her. Major headache going on. Taking a Tylenol PM and hitting my bed in 3, 2, 1. Good night!

Actually, I (finally) have plenty of time for the details! Everything is OVER. Phew!

The decision to let Cam play up was a tough one, for sure. In the end, though, the team in her age bracket would have been so frustrating for her and it would have been wasted time. So she decided to play with the older girls and it turned out to be THE BEST decision. Totally the right coach for her and the older girls really looked out for Cam and Molly (the other young one on the team). These girls are all in Riley's grade, so they knew who Cam was an took her under their wings.

We knew it would be a higher skill level for her. And while she wasn't the weakest player on the team, she wasn't in the top half either. Her team rostered 14 girls and if I had to rank order them, Cam would be about 9th or 10th in terms of skills and ability. But the thing about Cam is that she plays with 100% heart. She puts everything she has into it and leaves nothing behind. She really isn't uber competitive, but she gives as good as she gets.

There was this one girl who I swear must have had some sort of glandular disorder. OMG, 10 years old and 5'6"! And of course Cammie had to play opposite her. But she showed NO fear. This girl was all over her and Cam just elbowed her right back. It was pretty comical. And since the girl was so tall, she was all gangly at this age and not super coordinated with those long legs, so Cam beat her to the ball each time. She looked like this tiny little bird just fluttering all around this beast. :rotfl2::lmao:

Anyway, I am not sure how the Captain selection is done. The girls make the choice, though, not the coach. And Leah (other Captain) and Cam both definitely have the most heart and guts on the team. Leah is also probably the strongest player on the team. So they have made really good partners as co-captains for this tournament. Her last game is Weds. and it will be hard to see the season end.

Enough info.?

Kat, is this good or just tolarable?
