Amy - tell us about your race? For some reason I didn't realize it was coming so fast. I thought it was Sunday?

My cousin from Tampa was in town today, so nice visit with her and the family. Dawn, I made the Pecan Bars and they were a hit. HIT.

Lyz--I did have a race today and one next sunday at EPCOT, race for the taste!

Kicked a$$ today at the Race for the Cure 10K. Weather was great, and I came within a few minutes of a PR, I finished in 1:15. So not expecting that since I felt like CRAP at the start because I worked until 230 and the race started at 730am. Once I started I felt great and felt awesome the whole race. All in all I ended up with about 9 miles today. I had a .6 mile sprint to the start since there was so much traffic and we were running late. 10,000 people ran/walked the races today!

I am off to first shift on Monday and a normal schedule!

KAT--awesome job so far! It is so awesome that you always get that great initial loss. That never happens to me!

AMY--WOO HOO on the race! Awesome! That will count as your long run this week, too! I have to get some 10ks lined up between now and marathon week-end. And I have my eye on a half in late November. Of course, I have to actually be able to RUN in order for any of that to happen...

Thanks to everyone on the congrats! I know that this is the water weight of the first week of going cold turkey. Man, those first few days are brutal, but I am adjusted now thankfully.

Thanks! However, you in general eat much better than me... the initial loss is because of my body purging all the junk I put in it over the last few months.

Today I need to go shopping and find something professional to wear tomorrow, that fits my less-than-thin body. Whee.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent the day buying a new outfit for work tomorrow, with a friend. I think I picked out something professional without trying too hard. Here's to hoping, anyhow!!

Judging by the women in the audience, Jean is not the only one. Hell, I'd switch teams for Pink. BTW, I'd love to see what her trainer has her doing. I know she's fit bc she bikes and stuff, but the training she had to do for this tour must be intense. The circus stuff was so cool.

Jean and I once took Elysha (the one who just got married) on a last minute trip to surprise my parents at WDW. We played Missundaztood over and over and over.

It makes me smile that if we - or she - listened to it - it would take us right back to 100 degree road trip in August with no air conditioning and beautiful memories. Ah music - the beauty of it, eh?

Well if you were on our couch right now you'd be watching football. All day Sunday. All night Monday and some Thursdays of course. I also bought the same shirt in black because, well, I liked it. I got the two shirts, the skirt, a black flowy top, and 2 dress shirts for D, for under $70. I love Kohl's coupons.

Someday you should come visit me and we can hit the outlets... I am great at professional-type shopping, and even better at finding deals. Too bad Em is in school now, because you two could totally come spend the week with me this week. D is in Vale until Fri night.


I am finally done with the mountains of laundry (seriously, how do two people create THIS much laundry???) and am enjoying a nice glass of red wine.

Songs take me everywhere. 80's hair bands take me to high school. Enya takes me to the Smokey Mountains - where Bob and I both heard one of her songs (different song) playing in a store separately and bought her cd. So many more. Love the songtrack to life.

It's Monday. Time to start afresh. My house is trashed. Must clean. Spent yesterday shopping with the girls. I love spending money. I think shopping is my all time favorite thing to do.

Lyz - GA is general admission. Floor. No seats. You get very close and can really dance and move. Jodi hates crowds, so this was her first GA experience, and she loved it! I was happy and surprised. She hated crowds at WDW first weekend in Jan, so you can imagine how she does in NYC.

Ticket. OMG. I had it in my back pocket and somehow lost it! I pulled out my camera and maybe that's when I lost it. I freaked. We got lucky and they reprinted it. It was from Stub Hub, so they weren't supposed to, but we begged.
