In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Do you know for a fact it's fake? Just curious as everyone in my office has been watching and it would be a fun break from work to discuss.

I assumed that everyone involved was a Disneyland employee and that it was staged, but a real proposal...

Well, it was clearly filmed by DL staff. There are multiple camera angles, one of which is from the top of one of the buildings on Main Street. So DL made the video.

But there are DL CMs over on the podcast boards (where this was posted a few weeks ago) and they say that is was staged. I don't see what reason they would have to lie about that, so I take it at face value.

I guess many of them know the "groom" in the video and he works in DL Entertainment is most definitely single (and some say not interested in women).

But I agree...the "bride" does a great job at looking super surprised. Her reactions definitely look real. My first thought was the same as yours--obviously staged and obviously it was choreographed by DL CMs, but that it was still a real proposal done by this off-duty CM.

E - yes it is our second marriage - and it will be small - less than 35 people we expect - but some traditional things will go -

My first wedding was not anything I had a choice in - no dress- no suit for Chad - no dance - no pics - nada. It was pretty much done and over in 3 weeks from deciding to get married to the end - my parents were in the middle of a divorce - Chad's parents were 100% not in favor of it so there was no money at all. I am not the huge wedding type of person either so some of the big venue things would not be me to begin with.

The guys will have chocolate tuxes, girls tea length dresses, and I will be in a dress - albeit not super formal as it is an outdoor wedding (we did decide on the croquet lawn for those who have been to Vero. Boardwalk too small and too many noseums after 6 p.m. on the beach.) I want tons of pics of the kids and us.

So the plan is to get married on June 15th - it is a Tuesday - we had wanted a Monday but Sonya's is having pirate themed dinner on Monday's now so we would have to have the reception in the Sea Grass banquet room. Totally not my thing. Love the wood tones and colors of Sonya's.

The question is at what time? Storms tend to come in at the late afternoon hours - so do we plan on 6 p.m. and hope they have passed - or do a late morning - 11:00am and then do the dinner as a lunch? Plenty of time to decide that.

We tried the food there - and it was glorious! The best salad I have ever had in my life with walnuts and dried apricots etc. Plan on having a 6 course dinner with salmon, chicken and filet mignon as main courses.

As of now we will not have a dance - mabe just a song played for Dan and I - but that would be it.

So it will be small and intimate with some tradition thrown in - they have a new Bride's vestibule set up to get ready in and the photographer that had donated some of their work to be displayed was amazing. Will use them for sure.

Found a place outside of Tampa that deals with Hawaiian flowers so that should helpl- now where to get the cake form is the last issue - they do not specialize in cakes there like WDW does - so getting it offsite will be cheaper but it does take time. We might drive down - depending on how much we have to haul - so maybe pick one up from GF Bakery and take it down.

After I get back from dropping Treyner off I will set up a wedding site here on the boards for more specidfic details. I'll let ya know when that happens.

Dawn--Honestly if it were me, I would not ever consider getting married in FL in June. Too freaking hot, humid, sticky, rainy....BUT, if I had to I would choose the 11 am time. Definitely cooler and WAY less chance of rain. This year has been an odd year for weather. We have had 2 weeks without a drop of rain in May/June, and then a week of torrential rains in June. Definitely do morning though. It always depends on the seabreezes, but definitely way less chance of rain in the morning. I would definitely go sleeveless for your dress too..

Good point, Amy! Yikes, the heat! You'll have to think about make-up, too. Don't want your face to melt! :rotfl2:

I don't think I can even accurately convey how freaking gross it is here in the summer. We hibernate in the AC, much like everyone up north hangs out inside during the winter. And I am not complaining. It's just how it is.

And in case anyone is wondering, it is 47* here tonight. FORTIES. In JULY.

Went to the gym and biked 15 miles, which felt GREAT. But I haven't run outside in days.

So, I guess I am not wrong in packing jeans, long sleeves and fleece for my trip up north??

Oh, this begs for a whole new topic.

EriKa - lets see some wedding pics. Everyone. Wedding pics. And while you're scanning them, lol, lets see some senior pics.

Oh please, I am so old that I got married in the age before digital photography. I'd have to scan my wedding pics to get them posted here. I might have scanned one in a few years back, I'll have to check.

egads. I can't believe I'm admitting to this.

For my parents 50th we are doing a big memory album. Scanning pic's and sending to my brother & SIL so they can do a big scrapbook.

Ack. I must be crazy. But when we get them scanned, I will post.

Erika - congrats on hitting post 6000...

Amy - you should definitely pack jeans, long sleeved tops and some fleece. It can get downright cold at night up here.

Dawn - glad you had a nice trip. I would heed the Floridian's advice on the weather. Sounds about right to me.

Wen to the gym and did my last workout before the ride on Saturday. 5 miles at a nice and easy pace. Felt good, but did not push it at all. Why can't all my workouts be like that? Oh yeah - because they wouldn't be doing what they are supposed to do which is make my butt smaller... :rotfl:

Oh - did I tell you what Jesse said last week? I was doing leg curls to work my hamstrings, so I was lying face down on this one machine not a flattering position to be in, but what can you do. Then I hear Jesse say "wow, your butt got big.." What the hell? That is not the comment you want to hear while laying face down. He meant that my muscles were developing nicely, but what woman wants to hear wow - your butt got big? He so needs to work on his delivery... Don't worry, I gave him crap for it.

Time to get some work done now. Talk to you all later...

Lyz - can I superimpose my face on some bride's body to represent my weddin picture? Now, if only George Clooney had been married.... hmmmm

:scared1: I can't believe him! So glad you gave him crap. He would not want his fanclub miffed at him.

Just checked...no wedding pics anywhere on my computer. And I don't see me scanning some any time soon. :lmao: And what about YOURS cutie? ;) I know you didn't have a big ta-doo (SUCH a Lyz word!) but I am sure you still have pics of the day.

And FYI, my wedding was teeny tiny, by choice. If I had gotten my way, there would have been no wedding at all. Just a ceremony on a beach somewhere tropical and then a big party when we got home.

HOMG, Paula! What a comment! But you know, that is the exact same thing my physical therapist said (thought not to me quite that directly). She was like, "women athletes need to be PROUD of their butts. You worked hard to get it to be that way..." And I was like, um NO thanks. I would much rather it be petite and small, thank you. :rotfl2:
