In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

Erika-Penciled in for the 9th!! I looked at the Muddy Buddy online. It looks like so much fun. But the bike thing would be an issue. And did I read there was free beer??

Paula-I think you mentioned pirates booty. I found it today at the store. Yum! Delena likes it too.

Kat-Lots of good thoughts for you!! :goodvibes And when I saw those pics that E posted from your december trip, I see you as totally skinny. It's all about how we see ourselves I guess.

I will NEVER swim in fresh water in FL. Never. not only do you have scary a$$ brain amoeba's, but you also have gators.:scared1: No thank you. So if I ever did a tri here, it would be one that is in the gulf for the swim portion or a pool. Of course in the gulf you have stingrays and jellyfish, so I don't know.

I am in a bit of detox today after the weekend. My eating was ok at Disney, just too many drinky drinks. I've already done the shred DVD today. I did it in the morning and really liked getting it out of the way early. I may have to try and do it that way as much as I can.

Thanks SO much everyone for the photo comments.:goodvibes I think I truly do see the changes now. For me, it is a big deal to see it in pictures of myself. I have been meaning to do this for awhile so here are before and in progress pics. Anyone else want to post some???

Busy day here!

Roddy--you asked for it! :rotfl2: I have no sympathy for you whatsoever since you walked right into it on your own! :lmao:

Yep. No sympathy for the self-inflicted  ;)

More to say to all, but need to get going. Time to go babysit my dad. His surgery was yesterday and he is fine, so that is good.

I didn't realize his surgery was yesterday. Glad it went well. Now - you just need to get a calendar for his ceiling so you can "X" off the boxes!

Well, I was hoping to go to Disneyland in May with my very best friend, but with my $$$ situation that isn't going to happen :sad1: . I've been reading TRs like crazy, though, and reading about everyone's plans! That's good enough for me!

<sigh> living vicariously thru other peoples trips. That's where I am right now too :upsidedow

Nancy - you are too funny. I love your dreams. Have fun getting your hair cut and colored. You know we will need pictures.

It's wicked poofy right now. So funny. I never ever "poof" my hair. Stephen laughed at it. I'll try to take a picture. No promises though

Did I mention that only gained 1.2 pounds since Jan12

Awesome Steph! The damage wasn't as bad as you thought! Cute girly pics too...

Name, Age, and Family -
Lyz(32) Husband(31), 2 girls Molli(13) & Madeline(5.9) and dog Marvin(10.8)

And coming soon? Piggies??? :confused3

We walked on rides, got any ADR we wanted, and even drank for a night for free after running into people from our hometown. The whole trip was magical, and it remains one of, if not the best, vacation of my life.

All that AND free drinks? Yeah, I'd call that magical too! :cheer2:

Here is my public service announcement for the year and feel free to hate me for it. Please, please, if any of you smoke, do whatever you can to quit. Really. I am watching the effects of long term smoking on both of D's parents and nothing could be worth this. Do it for you, for your family, for your children who don't need to watch this and have to suffer both feeling badly and hating that this was at least somewhat preventable. Please.

AMEN. :worship:

This is why I don't have any GS cookies in my house. If it's there, I shut it up by eating it.

:rotfl2: I totally get that. I hear their voices calling from distant cabinets and they just draw me in. It's like I'm hypnotised. Only way to silence the suckers is to devour them.

Guess what I had for breakfast this morning. G'head (said like Pete!). Guess. Give up?

Chocolate cake! :rotfl2:

Regarding chocolate cake for breakfast...anyone remember the Bill Cosby routine where he's supposed to feed the kids breakfast and a daughter wants chocolate cake? He takes inventory... milk, eggs, flour... and wham, chocolate cake for breakfast.

Ronda! That is exactly what I was thinking

Did your HR monitor arrive yet? :confused3

Painting the basement for the delivery Thursday so the basement is one huge chunk done for graduation.

Delivery? :confused3 I know not of what you speak.

I do have plans - I will PM them to you so I do not take up loads of space here - will probably start a wedding spot when i get time here on the boards.

Wedding spot? Is there a wedding spot on this board? :confused3 I need to get out more :lmao:

Hi, you must be new here! Welcome. Please do the intro questions listed on page one of the thread.

:rotfl2:

I slay me.

Yep. You are one funny lady :rolleyes1

:lmao:

But you're right! Dawn, you have been away for a while. :goodvibes

Speaking of away...

Sarah? Helloooo....are you still out there somewhere???

Amy- two things.

First - I am so freakin' jealous that you are "in" for the Muddy Buddy. No fair.;)

Second- OMG. LOOK AT YOU! Or rather, what's LEFT of you. You have really made some changes. :worship:

Spin class! The instructor greeted me enthusiastically by name and said she had missed me. Isn't that nice? :goodvibes After the class, she stopped me, we shared war stories (her son DIED of a brain tumor years ago. How AWFUL is that? ) and she said she'd pray for my mom.

That is so sad

I'll have you know that because of you and Kelly, my husband and I have been watching Doctor Who episodes that we get on dvd from the library. We should probably be exercising instead of watching tv, you know!

Totally worth missing exercise for :lmao:

Oh did I mention the trouble that my boys got into the other night while I was at work? My all white cat is now white with a yellow back....... the boys sprayed painted him, along with my washing machine and basement window and door. YEAH I WASN"T HAPPY!:headache:
Ok off to shower so I can go to WW and own my ten pound GAIN!

That is so funny that your boys spray painted your cat :rotfl:
Just for going to WW and owning your gain you rock! :cool1:
Love the pic of your daughter and her friend, very pretty girls.

Sorry that I didn't comment more, but I am in a hotel in Greenville, NC because my MIL was rushed to the hospital this morning. Keep her in your thoughts.

I didn't eat well tonight.

Kat - good thoughts being sent your way

Ok, I already admitted this to Lyz, but I will share this with all of you. Just so that you know I am not a total freakshow and I totally go off the wagon once in a while.

Guess what I had for breakfast this morning. G'head (said like Pete!). Guess. Give up?

Chocolate cake! :rotfl2: At like 8:30 in the morning. And it was delish. For finishing the tri, J and the kids made me a chocolate cake (my fave) and there was half a piece left this morning. So I ate it. And loved it. Now it is back to reality.

Chocolate cake for breakfast - that is a breakfast I could enjoy! :lovestruc

I do have plans - I will PM them to you so I do not take up loads of space here - will probably start a wedding spot when i get time here on the boards.

Anyone else who wants details - let me know!

I'd love to read about your plans! Count me in!

AMY - You look fantastic on your pictures - really great!

I have been so busy today, you know when you just cant get a minute to yourself. I swear Im sure people were even following me to the Loo to ask me things :headache:

Because I have only been on the board a very short time, I had no reference for how much weight you have lost. AMAZING!!! :cool1::cheer2: :thumbsup2

Welcome back, Dawn! Let's hear all the plans! Or are you going to do a wedding planning thread? Let us know!

I have read all but not commented. I'm in a low internet usage phase. Bizarre, I know. Who am I? :lmao:

But to answer Erika's snarky question, yes, spin WAS on my schedule. And listen, Missy, if a schedule is what gets me to workout I am baffled as to why you'd mock it. ;) Nearly every athlete I have ever met - yourself included - has a schedule. Whether you write it down or not, it's there. I write things down. I'm a writer! Also, I can't teach time management if I don't practice it.

I'm also tracking my exercise. Like Erika, Nancy, Lisa PR, etc etc do. I'm not sure why using an excel file is any different than posting it. :confused3

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

To be honest, I don't really like any of the smileys. But the banana is just gross. Like a giant dancing ***** with a leer on it's face. Let's see if they block out that word!

Nancy, tell me why you'd love to do a Muddy Buddy. Is it fun? I cannot imagine that being fun. You're all dirty and gross, right?

Umm, ok... Erika? Are you going to use my suggestion from last night as your official introduction at the marathon or triathlon or otherwise physical insanity that you're participating in this coming weekend? I could write you a boxing-style preamble in Spanish if you like?

Think about it! It would be awesome. :lmao:

Schmack - Schmackle - Schlong ? Anyone, anyone, anyone. Lets see if these get blocked. :rotfl2:

Thanks everyone for the before/in progress comments! :goodvibes I always like seeing them and find them inspirational so I figured it was time to post some of mine.

Liz-I track my exercise on a spreadsheet too. I find it incredibly satisfying to see how many miles and minutes I have put in over a month.

Dawn-I agree with Liz, you must make a wedding planning thread. Must know details.

I don't have a particular aversion to any smileys, but what I don't get is why half of the time the banana is frozen. Unmoving. :confused3 :confused3

You know that I am good-naturedly mocking you and your use of spreadsheets! I just find it hi lar ious that you use one for everything! And I don't. And I'm a hot mess, as we well know! :rotfl2: And YES! Anything that gets you to your workouts is good with me! :thumbsup2 It wasn't SNARK, babe, it was love! Because I love that you use spreadsheets for everything because it is so you!

And OMG, yes! That is exactly why I hate the banana! It is totally gross and completely phallic and that lecherous look! Which, with Lyz's hatred of men, I find it odd that she loves the dancing weiner! :rotfl:

Oh, yeah...I track my miles and minutes on the Warriors' spreadsheet, too! :rotfl2:

Hi, you must be new here! Welcome. Please do the intro questions listed on page one of the thread.

:rotfl2:

I slay me.
You are a friggin riot. I have been a bad, bad girl and need to be punished.:lmao:
Wedding spot? Is there a wedding spot on this board? :confused3 I need to get out more :lmao:

Yes there is a wedding thread. So much info my head is spinning.

But you're right! Dawn, you have been away for a while. :goodvibes
Thanks for noticing. It is nice being loved. Just really busy. Kids are leaving with Chad for South Padre this weekend for a week. I booked it for him because he would not have gone otherwise and the kids need to get away with him to get him off of overdrive work mode. I think the kids appreciate the fact I spent time helping them spend time with their Dad and they all love the beach. They are driving. Anyway - Carsyn needed some new things for summer - spent the weekend with a lot of one on one time with her.

The delivery is the stuff from the Christian thrift store I love. The new big screen tv, a computer desk and bookshelf and so with some paint...viola the downstairs is good to go.

We are also getting the fridge and stove but those need to gop to the garage until the kitchen remodel in May/June.

Welcome back, Dawn! Let's hear all the plans! Or are you going to do a wedding planning thread? Let us know!
Plans thus far:

Monday, March 8th, 2010. I believe it is the Monday after the race at WDW?

10 am wedding at Y&B at the wedding gazebo - brunch at Attic at Boardwalk following and then a dessert/appetizer dealio at lower UK from 8-10 watching Illuminations.

Ohanna dinner Sunday night - before wedding.

Of course you all are invited. I need addresses from everyone please so PM.

There is a lot more to come but I don't want that to be the focus here so when I get the link together with the wedding thread - I will post it here.

Thanks everyone for the before/in progress comments! :goodvibes I always like seeing them and find them inspirational so I figured it was time to post some of mine.
They looked absolutlely stunning
Liz-I track my exercise on a spreadsheet too. I find it incredibly satisfying to see how many miles and minutes I have put in over a month.

Will do. Need to get the TR from Dec done too.
I don't have a particular aversion to any smileys, but what I don't get is why half of the time the banana is frozen. Unmoving. :confused3 :confused3

Banana must need Viagra.:rotfl2:

Doc appt with me today = tests tom morning for everything from testosterone to PCOS to insulin resistance. Will let ya all know more when I do.

Off to paint! Will take pics of the downstairs and the bedroom. Carsyn's too if she gets it presentable! :thumbsup2

Pat yourself on the back because you are more evolved than many men I have known. I applaud you Roddy. :worship:

You are absolutely and indubitably correct, Dawn. Which is why I'm 33 years-old, unmarried and haven't had a date in years and years. Evidently, contrary to what some or most (notice, I said 'some or most' and not *all*) women say, they prefer big, dumb, mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, bovine lummoxes. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:
