In Search of My Body....Not the One I ATE! Vol. 5: Goddesses are Always on Top!

*Stabs self in eye with dull pencil for potentially having a higher metabolism. :scared1:

Now that we got that taken care of.... :rotfl2:

Seriously Roddy - don't take offense to our men bashing. It is not like it is really your fault. You didn't ask to be made that way (or did you?).

BTW - I am a huge fan of unsweetened fresh brewed iced tea. It is my drink of choice, but it can be a little on the deyhdrating side of things given all of the caffeine in black tea. I use the decaf bags for home and all is good.

And another thing. I can't stand Barbara Walters and the View! BW espically. Everyone thinks she's some pioneer but I think she's grossly inappropriate most of the time.

It just plain sucks that guys get to the faster metabolism (sorry Roddy, but it does). 37 points? That is an insane amount of food. Oh and don't even get me started on taking the point away after you hit 38. Um, that means I lose a point in September people. That is so not fair!!!!

It's totally ok, I have a big sister, so I'm used to it. She came over last night and took one look at me and proceeded to tell me how I made her sick and how I needed to gain some weight so that the sight of me didn't make her feel so fat. :rotfl2:

I make a decaf and regular because I read a theory that the decaf process removes some of the antioxidants from tea, but mainly because too much of the decaf gives me a huge headache. :thumbsup2

Kelly - I read alot of fiction. Anywhoo, do the Brits drink as much tea as the books say they do? Like, have a spot of tea when stressed? Or tea couple times a day?

Yep. The amount of tea I can drink in a day is obscene. I have 2 cups before I go to work, 2-3 cups at work, and a cup before I go to bed. This is just a regular day - I can drink a lot more tea than that! When I get home from work I have a coffee (you know, for a change :rotfl: )

:lmao:

I probably drink a gallon of tea a day. Where's the loo? :lmao:

Tea drinkers unite!!!! I can't stand coffee, but don't get between me and my tea!

Roddy - thanks for understanding. I really don't hate all men. I just get frustrated with them from time to time. I'm sure you feel the same way about women - although I am not sure I want to know all of the details there...

Wow! I come home from PT and have 3 pages to read! LOVE IT!

AMIEE: Here is the link for C25k. You know, I really wish it was one of those "affiliate" sites, where I got money for each time I gave someone the link and they clicked on it? That would ROCK!

LIZ/NANC
Y--HA! WW is sexist! Now I can boycott them! :lmao: Have I mentioned that I LOVE boycotting stuff? Like, I am always looking for reasons to boycott places!

LYZ--ok, shin splints. You will look like dork doing this, so don't let Mol see you or she will disown you. First do a short warm-up (biking is best if you can)--just like 5-10 minutes. Hop off the bike and walk around the room on your heels, with your toes pointed up. This will make you lock your knees. Yeah, it looks as weird as it sounds. Then do your walk/run on the TM. When you are done, do that walk again. This is really the only way to stretch your shins. At first it may feel like you are actually working your calves (and you are to a degree) but give it a minute and you will feel it in your shins. Just remember, never stretch a cold muscle! Always warm up first, then stretch. Then stretch again at the end of your work-out. And Nancy is right--ibuprofen and ice to deal with the pain and inflammation.

And YES! Snowmobiles are SLEDS. After reading Lisa's post I was thinking, "Hmmm...I wonder if I should post so that people don't think Shelby was out there on Rosebud!" :rotfl2: Looks like I should have!

Nancy did you get fat/muscle tested? Did I miss it?

Have you guys seen those little sci fi looking pods that blow air and test it all?

Lisa P/R - I saw Nancy O'Dell get tested and she was 26. something and was listed as moderately lean. I must go back and look but I thought your numbers were coming up close to that. I must be wrong. Thinking outloud.

Liz didn't confirm that fact yet. So don't go a boycotting yet.

I like to boycott stuff too. I've boycotted Best Buy for, hmmmm, 6 years now. It involved a kerokie machine. Just sayin'.

I will warm up the shin and stretch! Thanks. I don't have a bike. Can you recommend another warm up.

Tea drinkers unite!!!! :

Yep. Those British ruled us. And we still have our governor general - the ear to the queen. Therefore, tea lives. But don't tell the Tim Horton's fanatics. They're fierce.

I love when I go to the States. Q: Hot tea?

Is there any other? :rotfl: :lmao:

Iced rules, eh?

Let it be known that my parents now adore coffee simply because of their travels through the States. They simply gave up getting better than lukewarm tea and and moved on to coffee.

Or Vinegar. I once had a California McDonald's employee scream in laughter at my friend asking for it. "Hey Bob, this girl wants vinegar. Whatcha gonna do clean the tables?"

Me too. Wendy's when they pulled their advertising when Ellen came out. Years and years I've done it. Probably over ten now, eh? Times have changed so quickly. And I adore Wendy's potatoes. Mmmmm mmmm.

But they are with Tim Horton's now so have avoided them but not THs. So doesn't quite make sense.

I remember so clearly this older couple went into a JC Penney's, who pulled their ads from Ellen too, and cut up their CC at a cash register. Love it.

I also avoid/boycott my absolute favourite breakfast place because the manager was an a$$ one day a couple of years back. Jean had burnt toast. I couldn't find the waitress for eons. Things were getting cold. I got up and asked the manager, who usually constantly strives to help tables and customers, if he could get one that wasn't for us. He was bothered that I got up and asked him. And told us that I was rude in tone (which is something I actually wish for :rotfl: :lmao:;) since I'm usually too nice) and that is wasn't burnt. That's just the toaster.

And then told us that if we didn't like the next one coming out we'd pay for the extra order of toast.

Needless to say I told him I was disappointed, was a regular and wouldn't be back in. I haven't. And it's a loss. Yummy breakfast.

Oh boycotting. How my stomach yearns. :rotfl:

Laughed at you for asking for vinegar? What did you want vinegar for? Your fries? If so, I wonder what's so funny about that. We put vinegar on lots of stuff here in the South, including fries. I like using vinegar and lemon juice on salad. They're tasty and no calories. Tea and coffee both are a way of life here. Though, here it's iced tea and coffee so strong it can walk across the table under it's own power. :lmao:

I was referring to England's influence. Yep she wanted it for fries. Regional. Absolutely regional. You're right.

We have regional issues/changes here for sure. But nothing as great as the US. I am so envious of how you can simply have a new life, and with extreme climate changes, in your own country.

Vancouver and Victoria are a change in climate (well except those who live in the far north - any move is a biggie).

But most moves arei not like Minnesota to Arizona. Or Rhode Island to Mississippi. Love the differences. So envious.

Yes, vinegar on fries is a Maine thing, too. Not for me, though. Ewwww. That is up there with cheese fries on the grossness scale for me. But in the school cafeteria when there are fries with the lunch, yup, served with vinegar.

I'm smiling Erika. Vinegar no. Poutine no. But fries, you don't eat them - do you? Curious.
