In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

Ummm....just wanted to point this out. Lyz said "I'm not saying no".... :thumbsup2

Have a fan-tab-ulous time at WDW!!!!

Look out, Liz...the Great and Powerful Oz has spoken :rotfl:
[/B][/COLOR]

Yes, I KNOW Lyz didn't say no! :cool1: But I am keeping on the down low for now....you know, don't want to scare the cutie or anything. Let's let her think I didn't notice.

Ok, about running...since Lisa, Liz, and Dawn have all mentioned it. And specifically have mentioned hating it (though Liz occasionally visits the dark side).

Have I mentioned that I hated running for my whole entire life. I don't just mean I avoided it or anything...I HATED it. For example, I was a competitive swimmer in HS. The only reason I chose swimming as a sport? Didn't have to run. In hockey, I was to goalie. Why? Least amount of running. And on and on. I never ever ever in my life before this year ran more than one mile. And that was in college when we HAD to or fail PE. I swear, I almost took the F.

So when you say that you don't want to run because you hate it, I get that. Better than anyone. I spent years and years of my life coming up with creative reasons why I couldn't run. Including faking an injury in middle school and being on crutches for 2 weeks without reason. Yes, really.

And yet here I am. A runner.

If you start slowly with very low expectations and build gradually....well, I bet you just might like it. There are tons of ways to start out. You don't just put on sneakers and go for a run.

I tend to use this rule...if you like going for a walk, or walking for exercise, chances are you will like running. You might not love it. But you'll be ok with it. And trust me...if you get to the point where you can run a 5k comfortably, you will actually enjoy running. You will

However, of course that is not the only cardio option available (I LOVE LOVE LOVE my boxing class...omg, talk about stress release. I beat the ever-lovin-sh*t out of that bag and just leave everything on the gym floor). But my point is...don't eliminate running as an option because you *think* you hate it. You might be pleasantly surprised. No one is more surprised by my running addiction than I am.

Ok, end of running talk.

Got a text from Lyz. She is there and already going strong. Bob has a cold and was sleeping it off while she and the girls went to Epcot first...then the pool in the late afternoon. Temp is about 75.

Dawn--great pics.

LIZ--sorry about Em. Hope she turns the corner quickly. No fun, poor kid.

Sorry...I read that...2 days, 3 helpers and 50 dozen cookies, and thought - eh (I sound like Lisa  )...eh...that's not so bad :rolleyes1 I always *forget* though, that making that many cookies at HOME is waaaayyy more time consuming that making them at WORK.

Enjoy the cookie baking Paula. Have fun with the people you are cooking with...put on some good music...have a good "beverage"... make a mess...and laugh all the way thru it. That's the fun of it all...:goodvibes

If you get to have a special beverage at work while you bake for others...I think there will be a line-up of those wanting your job...:lmao:

Just kidding...but seriously...miss my Grandfather this time of year more than anything...he was a great baker and always was where Christmas was at....

I totally LOVE everything about this picture, and what it all represents. It's like the 2 of you walking away, and leaving that "old life" behind you....not looking back, just moving forward.
That was just beautiful...thanks for thinking of it like that...
Dawn - great pics. And yes to keeping the butt shot. I've got some of those of my own, as you well know. As for running, why not? So you hate it. i hate it too, until it gets fun. In a sick, hateful way. Start walking every day, and then build up.

Fine...you guys are all a friggin cult...someday I will need to be captured by my family and put into a anti-brainwashing clinic...Twilight...running...what is next?

Bikkini sky diving?

I vote Nancy after she bakes and beverages...with just a dusting of flour...to be first! :3dglasses :rotfl:

Nick, i wouldn't say he struggled. He's not thin. He's a big guy and has gained since we met, used to be more active, etc. Mostly now he works, comes home, works on our house, and parents on the weekend. He doesn't have much time to do more than make money and see his kid. He was a normal kid, never fat or heavy, just never thin. But athletic his whole life. And now he's a suit on the train, that tailgates and drinks beer with his buddies and takes his kid on errands on the weekend. Maybe one day, he will get in shape, and I hope that for him, but that's his journey. So yes, he gets it. To a point. But he's so vastly unconcerned with my size, it's nice. Unconditional love and all that.

You are blessed....I know cause that is what I have...was Nick your first love?? Did you have bad exes before you found the golden egg?

Today...

Went to WW and weighed in. 167.4. I want to be 160 by Dec 31st. So there you go. How much of that weight is water and how much is the junk I have been eating while baking? Who knows? But there's some of both. So, to break the cycle, I went to the gym right after weigh in. In a year plus,I have never done that. But I want this week to be the start of something new. And I have that size 8 green dress I want to wear for Christmas.

I have a goal, I have an anchor, and it finally clicked. It's not about the food anymore. I need to exercise, so I track better. I need to move. That motivates me. It never did before, but thank God I figured that out.

Honestly, I am not sure what my goal weight is anymore. I think I need a chat after the 1st with my leader. It's under 160 and over 145 but I'm not sure what it is. Is it a low 10, a high 8, a mid 8? Is it 150 still or not? I'm not sure.

Thoughts welcome on this process.
Sounds like your new found excersize commitment may start being the answer for you...I agree you should talk with your leader...she may have some good advice...she sure has expeience with lots of body styles and types...I think you should want a result...not a size...like toned arms...ect...that way you can mark your success by a feeling..not a number that may not be real for you....

Wait...who just wrote that? :confused3

So I am so proud I weighed in. And did a yoga class. And have another class on my calendar for tomorrow. I like the new program, too. Makes more sense.

In other news, Emily came home from school sick today. Fever. Took her to the doctor's office, nothing wrong. Must be viral. She's a sad puppy.

I'm making Nick come home early (this means 7pm instead of 8pm. Not actually "early"), serving soup and sandwiches for dinner, and then heading out to Costco and the grocery store to stock up until the new year.
Glad for you that he is such a great dad...and hope Em is good soon...Carsyn was down for 48 hours....

I spewed my water at this...I just can't get that picture of you in my head...you are just this visual of Olympic cuteness...not gym drop out...:worship:
And yet here I am. A runner.

Good Lord...help me...she is sucking me in...she may be Edwardina...

Okay...I will try the coucjh to 5 K....I promise...will start on Friday...when Dan gets back...cause he wants to do it...and that way we have the same schedule even when he travels...
Got a text from Lyz. She is there and already going strong. Bob has a cold and was sleeping it off while she and the girls went to Epcot first...then the pool in the late afternoon. Temp is about 75.
Seriously..when was this trip planned??? I suck at not knowing lately....
Dawn--great pics.
Thanks - and Carsyn taped us at the table...so she could play for her friends all the crazy ladies her mom knows and how fast they all talk...and I heard this because she had a friend over...and all of a sudden I heard your voice..and Carsyn saying..."and this lady just cracked us up...she is about 5' tall...and I swear it is all lungs...cause she is so able to talk...and she is like my mom...never breathes...and she is this really important woman...she knows the President's family..." She thinks you are as famous as Oprah! :rotfl:

Okay...off to get more done today...I have a follow up for Baylor tom...he wants to snowboard so bad...I am not sure they will approve it...but I can pray....

Dawn--Lyz mentioned the trip a few weeks ago, but wasn't sure if she could pull if off on such short notice. Then we didn't hear anything for a while, and then suddenly it was "We are leaving in 5 days!" So no, you really didn't miss it...it came up super fast.

Oh wow...look at the page number. We are going to need Volume 4 before the end of the year!

My furniture dilemma....

Ok. Here it is. My *issue* ....this all starts with my bright idea to buy Stephen a new chair for Christmas. I wanted to get him a nice leather chair for the family room...to replace this incredibly old (yet still functional :rolleyes1 ) nasty recliner that we have. This thing was a "hand-me-down" from the time we got it....oh....14 years ago?

Last winter we bought new tv...and of course needed a tv/entertainment unit on which to put it....I really like what we got....and now I want to get an end table to match.

So - Sunday we go to Raymour & Flannigan...with all 3 kids (bad idea. really bad. waaaayyy too many opinions flying around). The sales guy was like John Madden...commentating the whole process- it was, honestly, quite entertaining. He shows us the area where the coveted end table is...and there, they have the most fabulous chair ever. Microfiber...looks like leather, but buttery soft...amazingly comfy...to die for

Trying to focus now...I'm here for a table. "A" table. But look...there's these cute little ACCENT tables. OOOHHH...they'd be nice. and the coffee table...I loooovvveee the coffee table.

But that chair keeps calling me. And the kids. Stephen refuses to sit in it. He's afraid he'll like it. Finally he gives in, sits and....yep. loves it. We knew he would.

Becca points out, that if we get the new chair, well..then...perhaps we should consider the SOFA because, after all, the one we HAVE won't "match". (never mind the fact that they will *coordinate*...she wants "match")...Stephen agrees. Wait a sec. I thought we were here for "A TABLE". as in ONE. SINGULAR. Before I knew it, we were getting a price on one end table, 2 accent tables, a coffee table, sofa, chair and ottoman. $2900 and change (plus tax of course) Delivered.

WTH. :confused3 How did this even happen? I told the whole family (much to the kids and the salesman's dismay) that I was not buying ANYTHING until I went home and measured...lived with it in my mind for a day or two.

Bah. That's not what I had in mind. Now all I can see in my family room is that fabulous furniture. :headache: and the $$$ of the money it's going to cost. The kids are telling me that it's good for the economy. I'm going to "save some poor guy's job" by buying that furniture. :confused3 Where did these kids come from? Who taught them these tricks?

I can't make a decision to save my life. :sad2: Honestly - I am probably one of the most indecisive (sp?) people you've ever met! I stress over a $5 pair of jeans at Salvation Army. I get so afraid of making a WRONG decision that I don't make any decisions at all. I absolutely HATE that part of me.

Anyway...I've forgotten why I was going to tell you about this in the first place  but for now...I'm getting the table that I was after...and we are going to look a little more for the chair - make sure we find the one that we REALLy want. Then...we'll go from there.

Nancy - I've been to that store and sat on those comfy micro fiber chairs...so nice! I wouldn't blame you if you went for the whole kit and caboodle!

I did a lot of grocery shopping. I'm tired. It's cold. I want to be able to eat cookies and still not gain weight. That's all.

Dang! She was SOOOO close to landing on her butt!

:rotfl2:

I actually thought I heard her say today that all of that bull was editing in the show. The way she was portrayed.

Anxiously awaiting your thoughts on that Nancy. :lmao:

Lisa - you mean you don't want to spend hours and hours training and running to run?

Oh crap I kept the wrong line. ;) Congrats on the losing Lyz. Hope you're having a ball. And yes on your highlight.

Look out, Liz...the Great and Powerful Oz has spoken :rotfl:

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: She's persistent.

Ok so I am finally off the couch! I have to work this afternoon so I have to be somewhat NOT sick!
The fevers the crap pouring out of my Nose and coughing up lungs needs to STOP! The lack of voice needs to return!
If this tells you how sick I was I went to Burlington yesterday with Zachary for his check up and FORGOT to have Dr. write out NEW scripts for all his diabetic supplies! DUH I am all out! So now I need to call over there and have her call them in!

Oh and what is the next book in the Twilight series? Twilight and then NEw Moon?? Cuz I am having a hard time finding it! I went to walmart Monday night (SICK) and they had NONE! I went to target (sick) last night and they had NONE! I was like ***! I need the book I need a fix! CRACK ON PAPER!!!! I am trying to download and all I am getting is stupid trailors for different movies! :headache:

So snowy day here in the NorthEast of NY! we are supposed to get 3-6 inches total ummm yeah that was a boo boo! We already had 4 by 7:30 a.m. The snow has decreased but it's still snowing! I think there is a total of 7" already! Kids were made that there was school! I wasn't! Zac was glad to because today is his school play! So I will need to be dressed and ready for 1230 for a good view!

I am going back to catch up I only have 5 more page read!

 Steph. That sucks so close to the holidays.

As for me weight!1 HMMM sickness does wonders I am down to 220.8 and that is fully dressed
]

I'll say it again. You so don't look like you weigh 220 Steph. You really wear it well.

The mini meet...with Treyner's Birthday

Thanks for the pictures Dawn. That's a lovely one of the kids.

Eek. Sorry about Emily Liz.

I have a book I love about exercise. It's called Fit or Fat. I read it years ago and it changed my thinking. It's interesting.

That's amazing that you went straight to the gym.

Oh how I relate to the bolded statement - unfortunately.

Paula - way to go on the weigh in. :thumbsup2 That's fantastic. I forgot to tell you.

Erika - no running. :sad2: I truly feel pain in my legs besides not loving it. But it's all so inspiring for me to see you all.

Hi Kat. So you're really on for 2010. Geez that sounds like Vancouver. Olympics. That's funny. :rotfl2:

Amy - hope you're enjoying your time with them. They're still there right? I hope I have that right.

Hi Stacey! Hope you feel less tired soon. A lot, eh?

Oh and I was the "Biggest Loser" for my team again. For our last week of the competition. Brenda, our weightkeeper, is working on the overall numbers for the entire BL.

/
Just waking up the thread!

Great news on being BL again, Lisa!

Nancy--love the furniture story. I say go for it...just buy the whole thing!

Mornin' Ladies!!!

Nancy - I've been to that store and sat on those comfy micro fiber chairs...so nice! I wouldn't blame you if you went for the whole kit and caboodle!

Yeah...they are really nice. But the chair we were looking at was HUGE. Really wide...comfy, yes...but I think the size of it would be way out of scale for the rest of the room. So...I did a little looking on line, and we're (hopefully) going to look today at another store...

I did a lot of grocery shopping. I'm tired. It's cold. I want to be able to eat cookies and still not gain weight. That's all.

Last night I saw a brief BL clip with Jillian (Access Hollywood, or Extra, or something like that)...she offered her "tips" for not gaining weight thru the holidays. She said "if it didn't have a mother, or grow out of the earth, I dunno....DON'T EAT IT??"

ummm....did my cookies have a mother? :confused3 ok, maybe not, but my WINE came from the earth...:goodvibes

I actually thought I heard her say today that all of that bull was editing in the show. The way she was portrayed.

I heard her say that too. BUT. If she hadn't been so nasty and mouthy, they wouldn't have had anything to edit IN, now would they? :confused3

When they showed her daily schedule on the finale - up at 4:00am, gym, work, gym, home 8:30-9:00...do it again...and then she was so upset that she only lost 2 pounds in 7 weeks....HELLO...doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that she is over-training. And under-sleeping...and probably under EATING as well. No one can keep that schedule. It's not realistic.

Sad to say, but I bet she's one of those contestants who puts the weight back on. I honestly don't think she's LEARNED much....not because no one told her, but because she doesn't listen.

Oh and I was the "Biggest Loser" for my team again.

Nice job! So proud of you! (didn't take me long to decide THAT  ). Time for the gym, then work....where I will NOT eat cookies today. (ack I can just see myself talking to the cookies. "who's your momma?...what? no momma? Sorry, can't eat you" :rotfl2: )

If it doesn't have a momma or come from the earth don't eat it... that is too funny... it is just sick and twisted enough that I love the idea of it right now... especially since one of the contractors dropped off a tray of yummy butter cookies and I just couldn't stop eating them yesterday...:confused3 so need to stay away from that try today...

OK - just waking up myself and finding the energy to get going. I am off to get my morning cup of tea (yes, it came from the ground) and my bowl of cereal (that also came from the ground). That should help right....

Lisa - congrats on being the BL in the bunch for a second week in a row. My word woman, how do you do it so consistently???? goddess crown for you...

Steph - good luck with the furniture dilemma... I am horrible about committing to a furninture selection for myself. I can pick stuff out in minutes for others, but when it comes to picking something out for myself, it takes ages... One word about microfiber... it tends to look worn sooner than some of the other heavier fabrics out there. Want to stun the sales person??? Ask him how many double rubs the fabric is rated for.... I guarantee they will look at you like you just sprouted a second head... This is something that commercial fabrics are rated for and the higher the number the better in terms of durability. OK - techno speak over for now.

Have a great day everyone and step away from the Christmas crack cookies...

Paula

UMM yes the cookies have a mother YOU! you made them ... oh wait that would be like eating your young! :confused3 Lets see eggs have a mother ..chicken flour came from the earth ... wheat. Salt ..... the sea Chocolate ..... the Cocoa plant .............HA COOKIES R SAFE TO EAT!!!!!!

UMMM so that schedule sounds NUTS to ME! I need Sleep! LOTS OF IT (which I don't get)

]
So Liz hope that Em feels better! Ty is getting sick too! I was up at 1 giving him a asthma treatment. Stephen wanted to keep him home today but with it being the last two days of school and all the FUN that goes with it I don't want him to miss out on it! He isn't running a fever or anything just the cough and wheezing! I am so glad this isn't last year! I wouldn't have tolerated anyone ANYONE being sick last year at this time because it was our BIG Christmas Disney Trip!
Paula Goddess crown to you for making all those cookies! I did that a few years back! I made about 5 different cookies and I think each batch made 3 dozen cookies and I made Fudge on top of that. I brought in platters to Stephen's work! Oh and don't forget the whoopie Pies! Those were on there too. Just don't have the Energy or the gumption to do it again! I should be Wrapping presents and I don't even want to do that! I have to still get a tree! and Decorate it!
Ok off to dry and fold laundry then get ready for work!

Thank Goodness it was not on a calendar for the past 6 months....then I would feel worse than I do now...and yeah for our fourth chapter...hmmmm...what shall it be called? Ideas anyone?
My furniture dilemma....
I have been where you are at...all I will say is this...if you have the money in savings...can spend it with no concern...do it...if you need credit...or if either you or your husband were to looses your job and 2 months from now you would have the need for that money...don't spend it...

I started doing that after listening to some financial advisors...and that has really put the kibosh on my want vs need mentality...

I also will be needing some big fundage going to a new kitchen and some other much less minor home repairs in the next few months...hoping against odds for tax money to go to the kitchen...and am planning on window shopping this holiday break...to get an idea how much each will cost...have a list on the fridge and in my wallet...so that everytime I want to spend on stupid stuff...I look at what I need...and if I feel like shopping...get what is on the list...

It sounds like you are pretty great about using what you have and saving money where you can..(clothes etc...) so don't feel bad if you can afford it for the new furniture...kids are older...and it is a place for you to enjoy with your family...

I had a friend that had parents who finally re-did their dinning room after all the kids moved out...(they had 8) and now it can hold everyone with no problem for Holidays and such...but they ate in shifts for the part of their lives they were all together always...and now...when it is only 3 times a year or so....they fit...the mom has said that is her biggest regret...not doing it sooner..even if they would have had to borrow a little...

So yes that is a contradiction...but with the economy today...ya never know...I try and balance that myself...

I think you did a great thing by waiting to make the purchase...not a quick decession...but this is the same lady who bought a timeshare in Cancun...

soooo....

Maybe think about what your motivation was to say yes to that...and compare it to the furniture....

For example...we bought DVC so the kids would always have a vacation..we could spoil our grandkids...and have a family place...so even though Chad and I are still not together...those things will not change...we just will alternate our usage...but the kids still win every year...

Good Grief...I sound like Dear Abby....

Thanks for the pictures Dawn. That's a lovely one of the kids.

Thanks - Chad and I bred well if nothing else...and the castle was the highlight for everyone for this trip...

Paula - way to go on the weigh in. :thumbsup2 That's fantastic. I forgot to tell you.
Me tooo....so proud of you chickie poo!

Mornin' Ladies!!!

Last night I saw a brief BL clip with Jillian (Access Hollywood, or Extra, or something like that)...she offered her "tips" for not gaining weight thru the holidays. She said "if it didn't have a mother, or grow out of the earth, I dunno....DON'T EAT IT??"
What if the recepie came from your momma? :lmao: Or if you ask it "Whose your Momma"...does that count?

Nice job! So proud of you! (didn't take me long to decide THAT  ). Time for the gym, then work....where I will NOT eat cookies today. (ack I can just see myself talking to the cookies. "who's your momma?...what? no momma? Sorry, can't eat you" :rotfl2: )

Do they get the straight jacket out if you start talking to your cookies?:rolleyes1

Lisa - congrats on being the BL in the bunch for a second week in a row. My word woman, how do you do it so consistently???? goddess crown for you...
Goof is right Lisa..you are a GODDESS!

Can I rent you next time I need furniture? That is better than..."Uh...it sure is purty!"
Have a great day everyone and step away from the Christmas crack cookies...

Paula

Step away from the crack...as our good friend Whitney once said..."crack is whack"....unless it is in a Twilight form...:cool2:

And LURKERS--I know you are out there! :goodvibes With the New Year on the horizon, please think about coming out of the shadows and joining our crew. Yes, we really have room for more.

Welcome Kelly!
AHHH twilight! I think I managed to talk at least three people from work into reading it last night!

Again Kelly Welcome and jump in! 15 pounds isn't to terrible ! There is I think the post #3 stuff all about us fill one out and post if you want!

DisneyGalUK Sheffield, England
#1 Name and Family you care to share plus a little about your weight struggles/programs you are on:Kelly, age 27. Married to Alan since August this year. I reached my target weight at the end of July and I have now gained back 15lbs. Ive done WW and Slimming World, both with equally good results - however I think the thing that works best for me is healthy eating and exercise.

#2 What are some of your trigger foods? Chips and salsa, chocolate (any!)

#3 What form of excersize (activity) would you love to do but have limmited yourself from due to weight/confidence? I scuba dived a few times when I was younger and I would love to do it again. I would also like to do more hiking - there are some beautiful national parks around here but I would most likely collapse into a sweaty heap if I even attempted to walk further than 500 yards! :rotfl:

#4 Occupation (if legal) I work in a travel agency.

#5 What do you want to achieve from a healthier body / lifestyle? I just want my clothes to fit properly - everything seems a little too tight and uncomfortable!

#6 If you could celebrate with anything when you reach/ed goal, what would it be...or what would it have been? New York. Ive been before but DH has never been!

Hmm, maybe I should tell you more about me...I love to talk, I Love Love Love the Twilight series and have made it my personal one woman mission to force everyone I know to read the books. Ive told them if they don't we will no longer have anything to talk about.
Ive got a strange sense of humour - some people find me funny, some don't - most importantly, I crack myself up and spend most of the day laughing at myself!
Finally, Im very clumsy. I have at least one stupid accident or fall a week! :rotfl:

Oh Kelly you and I sound alike! I am very clumsy and I Am always banging into something or other! My BFF calls me gracie for my lack of it!
Yes reading New moon right now and I am on page 38 and am in tears crying over it!
OH AND I LOVE TO TALK!!!! I don't think I ever shut up! LOL

Hi Kelly,

Welcome to the bunch... I think you'll find this lot to be a pretty welcoming kind of group... of course in the spirit of true disclosure, I have not yet read the Twilight series (shocking I know with Liz, Erika and Amy hot on my heels to do so) so no spoilers allowed...mkay... I am planning on reading it after Christmas though...

Jump right into the conversation... we are all here to help eachother...

Paula

anyone with a Fozzie bear avatar is allowed to crack themselves up all day....

:welcome:

Dawn-Loved all the trip pictures! it looks like you all had fun.

Nancy-I totally  those huge chairs too. it's probably good to look around a bit to see what other options are. DH and I have been looking for LR furniture for awhile now. We have trouble agreeing on anything. It's on hiatus again until I go back to work.

Lisa-WTG on BL!:yay: :yay: My parents left this morning :sad2: The house seems empty with just Little D and I. :sad2: But, it was so nice to see them. It will be much harder for them to get down here than it used to because of my brother's situation (He just had a nasty divorce, he has 3 kids, and also is without a license until Jan 2010 since he got a DUI. He's not a drinker. Went home one night and had a couple beers, went out to get something to eat, got pulled over for something else and ended up with a DUI.Ugh. So my parents have to drive him alot and my mom watches his kids when he has them. He is also in near financial ruin. And his ex just had another baby with the guy she cheated on my brother with)

Lyz, Hope you are having A lot of Fun at WDW! I know the weather should be pretty nice the whole time you are here.

Paula, I haven't done any baking this year. I hope to do a little once I get to NC. It's probably better I haven't anyhow. Too many temptations...

Liz, hope DD is feeling better. it sounds like you are off to a good start setting some goals.

Steph, Hope you and everyone at your house is feeling better!

Erika, Kat, and whoever else-I'd definitely be in for a 5K somewhere up north this summer. I love to travel up there during the summer when it is super hot here. And for everyone who doesn't want to run..Most races are walker friendly. Even the non-Disney ones I have done have been. So you could walk.

Running is weird. It still boggles my mind that I do it. Even in high school when I was thinner and in better shape, the best I ever did in gym was a 10 minute mile, which was SLOW when compared to the 5-6 minute miler people.

I've got ALOT ALOT ALOT of packing to do today. And laundry. I've got to pack a small suitcase for Delena and I to take with us on Saturday and then the bulk of out clothes need to be packed for DH to take with him on Tuesday when he leaves.

I don't know if I have talked about it on here or not, but the main reason DD and I are going up early is so that Delena can meet her cousin and I can see the niece that I haven't seen in almost 3 years. SIL just went through a hideous divorce and custody battle with her ex, who was abusive physically and mentally. He hit her while she was PG with my niece. So, pretty much we haven't seen her for 3 years. She just turned 4 years old. They are pretty much splitting custody now, so SIL gets her today for her week, so if we waited until tuesday when DH comes up, we'd only be able to see her for a day. So, Delena and I are going up early to spend some extra time with her.

I hope everyone has a good day. I hope to shred and get a short run in while DD naps.

Amy

Thanks everyone for the welcomes :goodvibes

No Twilight spoilers from me, my lips are sealed! The film opens here tomorrow so Im hoping I finish work early enough to go and see it, if not I'll have to go Saturday instead of tidying the house ready for Christmas! Priorities!
