In Search of my Body...Not The One I ate...#3 "Crowning Goddesses As We Go"

OMG, it just hit me you are going away for AGES. I'm going to have withdrawl. Why didn't you keep that iPhone???

I know. I was thinking this too.

I am blaming you all for putting the idea of buying a cute coat into my head.... you poisoned me...:rotfl2:

This is funny.

Anyways - I am off to clean my room and make some room for exercising. For those who don't know I share a house with my parents. For six months out of the year, they live at their camp and the house is mine... for the other six months, I have housemates so my exercise routine is all sorts of off since they came home. I need to create a space for my workouts so I will do them... That is my goal for tonight...

Hope all is well with everyone...

Paula

I didn't realize all this. Yeah, that's gonna suck, having housemates back.

And as to what I am eating, well, you don't want to know. Still can't seem to crawl back on the wagon. I am probably well over 20 lbs up now from my lowest. I suck.

Kat

OMG do I get this one. Broken. So true, and on so many fronts. I was/am like a square (or maybe a cube?) of broken. I have fixed one side now (job), been working a LOT on 2nd lately (friends), need to get back on fixing the 3rd (weight), and y'all know my plans for the 4th.

Excellent anaolgy.

Mad seems to be on the mend. But she is enjoying the attention.

YAY! Kat is BACK!

And LIZ! Love that you are throwing down and telling us all we should post our food and workouts. I am SO on board with that. At least I will be when I get back from vacation.

And FYI--I am bringing my laptop, so I will check in daily with a live trip report! Hopefully with pics (if time allows). That is one of the sucky things of working online full time. There is no calling in sick, no snow days, no vacation breaks, etc. I am expected to be online 6 out of 7 days.

News here...yesterday was our Halloween Party. Fun. But nothing too exciting to report. We will be doing "real" Halloween in Disney! This is a first for us. We are not doing MNSSHP but will be trick-or-treating in DTD and around the Boardwalk (where we are staying).

And TODAY, as in like 2 hours ago, the family told me that they don't want to go to AK but want to go to Blizzard instead. Aarrgh! Nothing like last minute changes in the plans. So that is what I am up to tonight. Have to re-figure some ADRs, etc.

I'm glad they told you. Fun.

Thanks for all the good vibes everyone, i'm so excited to be going back to school. I start spring semester (January 12th or something like that).

Now that I'm in, i can stop worrying about that and need to get back to the weight loss. I'm the queen of excuses and i need to get over it. Apparently I need an @ss kicking motivational individual to move into my spare bedroom ;)

UGHHHHHHH jealousssss..... now that i'm going to school i think i may have inadvertantly pushed my next disney trip back by another year.... 2 whole years :headache:

Much to catch up on here...

Thank you for listening everyone. The fact is sometimes my accomplishments come with difficult tag lines. And I need to be okay with that.

 Thank you for believing in us. And yourself. You are an amazing person, you do realize that don't ya? :worship:

You are one funny woman!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: Hope the jaw is better though.

Thanks. It is better. Hurt like a son-of-*itch all day yesterday. Today though...feelin' fine :thumbsup2 Honestly...that has to be one of the weirdest alchol-related injuries I've ever had!

I'm here... lately been taking a break from the computer on weekends. Friday was D's bday and then yesterday I bonded with the chaise lounge and a new book. :goodvibes

what a fab way to spend the weekend!:goodvibes

So exciting. I'm very happy for you! :woohoo:

My weekend has been really fun. Such a pleasant surprise, actually! Last night - dinner with friends - always fun! Ate too much, of course,:scared: ...nothing really *bad*...but too much good stuff as usual for me. Butternut squash soup...yuuuummmm....

Today we had family in after church - actually just my parents and my in-laws - I made a nice Sunday dinner - and we spent all afternoon playing a game. HOURS. Literally. Time flew - it was fabulous and relaxing. Now tomorrow...back to work and   drama club. We are SO INCREDIBLY far behind on the whole costume-thing! The fall production is November 21 & 22 and we haven't even STARTED costumes. Yeah. 3 weeks away...:sad2: I'm going to be soooooo stressed....

NANCY--I don't know if I have ever said this to you before, but I have thought it since day one and still do...

Truly, you are the walking, breathing definition of Super Mom. You are SO amazing when it comes to doing stuff with and for your kids. From 4H and goats, to making costumes, to visiting colleges, to having tons of their friends over and feeding them, to being an amazing role model with your fitness lifestyle as well as role modeling to them what a marriage partnership should look like. You are amazing and I am so glad to know you. :goodvibes

 Thanks.

I often think that I do too much...but then, I realize just how short my time with the kids really is. I truly feel that I am blessed. I love that I can be so involved with and for my kids. :lovestruc The way I see it....*some day* my house will stay clean for more than 15 minutes. And *some day* I'll go to the grocery store and the food will actually make it from my car into the fridge before being eaten  ....but for now, I'm just enjoying that crazy thrill ride called life with kids! :thumbsup2

For those of you with young kids, I can certainly appreciate how frazzling that can be...but I really must urge you not to wish those days away. Seth is a senior in High School - and I'm sure Dawn will agree that it's a blink and a blur and <poof> they are ready to leave the nest.

oh - and I've been looking into "muddy buddy" competitions....just so you know....:rolleyes1

Jeff and I tend to think of raising kids this way, too. We know that all too soon the day will come when there are no more fingerprints on walls and windows and no more toys strewn around the floor to trip over...and we will be crushed.

This is the poem that Kel gave J one year for Father's Day (with her hand print in paint):

Sometimes you get discouraged
because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
on furniture and walls.
But everyday I'm growing big
And soon I'll be very tall.
Then all my little handprints
will be hard to recall.
So here's a special handprint
Just so that you can say
this is how my fingers looked
when I placed them here today.

I still get teary every time I read this....

I was just thinking today that I love four, and I don't want this to end. One day she'll be 10 and then 15 and then 20...but right now she's still four. Thank God.

Good morning!

I was ON FIRE this morning, I tell ya. :rotfl2: Kids and I all over-slept and I woke up at 7:15. We have to leave for the bus at 7:30. I got them up, dressed, fed, hair and teeth brushed, lunches packed, bus notes written and MADE the bus!

Thank God because I so do not have time to drive them this morning!

Morning all.

Liz - 4 is the best age. I tend to stress and not enjoy the little things. Will have to put on my focus list.

It's Monday. Where oh where will that find us? On target, struggling or plain ol just don't freakin' care.

I am, hmmm, I'll let you know. It's only 9 am!

Off to the JumboTron...will check in tonight (will try before, but may not happen). Everyone else...CHECK IN.

Steph--party report!

DAWN--where are ya?

Week-end updates?

And I LOVE Liz's idea to keep us all accountable. Start posting food and exercise for the day.

WOW so much to comment on !
Lisa:hug: glad you are moving on and getting through it!

Paula- party was a BUST! Not only did none of the people from our jobs not show up it poured not just rained but POUR BUCKETS. And of course the kids were all goofing off and what happens kids goof off one gets hurt and tempers (mine) FLY! Steph and I got in a rip roaring fight in the middle of the Kitchen with about 4 of our closest friends watching! GREAT! Sam is always the one get hurt and I flipped out Nate and my nephew thought it would be funny to "pretend" to throw her in the river and she squirmed out of their hands and ended up getting kicked in the face with one of their STEEL TOED WORK BOOTS she came up to the house with a bloody lip and a tooth bleeding! I FLIPPED! Oh course then I yelled at stephen and nothing got done. So when Nathan came to the house to get his stuff to go home I yelled at him and then he cried to mommy that I am a big mean step mommy and she called and thankfully for (him Stephen) took my side! So we are still not back to us yet but we have agreed to no more parties! YAY:yay: . I hate having parties at my house, if it were just adults FIne but when there are kids of all ages and the adults are drinking it doesn't make a good mix. Of course I made my thoughts known about my SIL letting her 16 year old drink at my house. Then I ended up having two girls spend the night at my house and that was a DISASTER! I finally called sam's phone at 130 and said either you quiet down or they go home! NO IF ANDS OR BUTS! QUIET! Then they woke up the next morning and cleaned out the fridge! POOR YOU NANCY with all the friends over! I don't think I would have minded but they just opened the dishes in the fridge and ate out of them. Finally at 300 I said get ready you are going home! Then it was somewhat peace and quiet for a couple of hours. Then I had two more kids dumped on me for a couple of hours during the evening! I am now enjoying the quietness of NO KIDS NO HUSBAND Just ME!!!

Fun! I love BB. AK is okay but the water parks are much more fun. We made that choice last trip ourselves (BB over AK).

I will wave to the sky tomorrow (it is tomorrow, right?) when you are passing overhead...

Sounds like a great weekend!

If you like the butternut squash, I have a great turkey sausage pumpkin soup recipe... it is low cal, too. :)

Morning all.

It's Monday. Where oh where will that find us? On target, struggling or plain ol just don't freakin' care.

I am, hmmm, I'll let you know. It's only 9 am!

I am going to work hard to be on target from now until Friday morning. I am drinking coffee right now, have tuna wraps for lunch, and stuffed peppers for dinner. Exercise today is 1.5 hours of hockey, and since it is a combined practice tonight I will likely be unable to walk tomorrow.

Steph! Sounds like a very crazy weekend. Sorry it wasn't want you imagined while doing all that cleaning. Buggar on all of em. If it's any consolation, it was a good read.

I will wave to the sky tomorrow (it is tomorrow, right?) when you are passing overhead...

Aren't you clever.

ha.

So I am "I don't freaking care" today. I'm feeling alittle punchy and that's that.

Hi gang...

Steph - so sorry about the party.... that did not sound like a good scene at all.... take some time for you in the next few days and try and de-stress...

Lyz - I'm with you this morning... my head and my heart are in two different time zones.... and I just don't feel like I am on today... I am trying really hard to follow my head and not eat everything in sight.... I am chalking it up to the Monday blahs, so we'll see how I do...

E - have fun at work...

OK - so I had a really crappy weekend food wise... TOM arrived and I have been a total eating machine ever sinces...:sad2: It will be interesting to see what the scale says tonight when I go to my JC appointment... I got up this morning and said enough... I am getting back on the wagon... so far today, I have had my JC cereal with dried cherries and skim milk and a cup of chai tea with sugar. I am about to break for lunch which will be my JC turkey burger with BBQ sauce, a small salad, 4 oz. yogurt and an apple (if I am not too full from the rest). Snack later will be the apple and my vitamin bar. Haven't decided on dinner yet, but I am going swimming tonight so the exercise should help me to feel better...

OK - I can do this... really I can...

Talk to you all later,
Paula
