In Our Prime

I'm really excited about Crumbs! I was looking at their website the other day and they look delicious!

I know that Dev mentioned the Central Park Zoo. I'm not really sure where everything is in relation to each other. I mentioned Dylan's Candy Store which she said we could go to and we are planning on the Museum. But other then that I'm not really sure. The World of Disney store is closed, right?

The museum is right near Central Park. Though, the zoo is about 15-20 blocks away, going down 5th Avenue. You can take the bus down the avenue if you don't want to walk. The zoo right at the beginning of Central Park which is right near Trump Tower, Plaza hotel, Tiffany &Co, FAO Schwartz, Apple Store, Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel and lots more.

World of Disney is closed. The new store, opening in the fall, is in Times Square, which is a great place to visit. Not far from the Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Dave and Buster's, Marriott Marquis (go upstairs to 8th floor, which is the lobby and you can see the future Disney Store site and take photos of the whole Times Square from there-there is a Starbucks up there and lots of seats)......

Dylan's is on the East side, on Lexington Avenue and 60th or 61st Street, a block from Bloomingdale's.

Which Crumbs are you going to?

If you have any other questions, you can call, text, e mail or ask me here.

Thank You for the info  I've been to Times Square and I've done all the touristy things so I'm looking forward to doing something different. I'm not too sure which Crumbs we are going to. Dev is an expert on the city so I have no fear in her ability to guide me along. I think we are going to wing it once we get there and see where the day takes us!

That's a great idea! Wherever you end up, you will always find something to do.

Have a great time!!!

Thanks, Sarah! I feel like I am visiting!!!!! I am sure you are going to have a wonderful time, Snow!

Send Snow some of your luck, Sarah, so she can be on the Cash Cab.
You seem to win things all the time (and you snag tix to tv show tapings too!)

Tomorrow I am going to our county wide Reading Festival with 72 fourth and fifth graders. They have to read the selected books each year to participate. For them, the day will be filled with games, prizes, a non-school lunch, an author, storyteller, etc. For me, donuts, a nice lunch duty free, and time to peruse what is happening at a school that is not my own. It is a fun day! We have played our own little games this week to review the books, and I think they will do pretty well. There is a big big trophy for the school that earns the most points, and we haven't won it in a few years....:rolleyes1

The Disney store at the outlets near me closed, too.
Did you know that, PAD? I know you used to make trips to the outlets occasionally.

The one in NYC was not from the chain of Disney stores. It was called World of Disney. No connection at all between the 2 of them.

Glad you enjoyed the post. Hope you will get the chance to visit one day soon!

What is Cash Cab? Is it a game show or something similar?

Sounds nice! Hope your school wins this year!

was40, it's almost 20 degrees warmer where you are! It's been like early winter here the last few days.

Posting is so slow. I am signing off for the evening. Have fun tomorrow.

Good luck, Snow!!!

::yes:: There is a cab in the City and when you get in it lights go off telling you that you're on the show. You don't know where it will be so it is just a matter of luck. Dev said we are walking everywhere so I don't think I will get the opportunity to be on it.

Snow, how did the packing go today? Did everything fit into your Uncle's car?

Have a wonderful weekend! I can't wait to hear about everything that you do!

It was fine, everything fit. He has an exercusion which is pretty much the size of a bus

Oh I'm not going till the middle of June. Sorry if it sounded like it was this weekend. Dev has to take a summer class so she is here for 3 more weeks. That's why we're going to Cedar Point next week, she doesn't have class on Fridays.

It was a wonderful day at the Reading Fest! My district took second place overall, and one of my very own fourth graders was the top point earner of all 520 students in 4,5,6 participating!!!! I am so proud!:cool1::cool1::banana:

Today has been a very exciting day so far...

DD11's team actually WON a game! They were evenly matched, a good game to watch, and tied up in the sixth inning so we had to play a seventh.... Both teams did a great job today!

Now DD has a sleepover birthday party to go to..............

and

DH and I are going out to dinner all by ourselves!

This hasn't happened since about 1996, so we are pretty excited!
