In Our Prime

DIS is so SLOW!!

Wishing you a good night!

Can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back!!:yay:

Thanks, Sarah  I bought our tickets yesterday :yay:

Oh, in that case, just ignore the coupons I mailed via snail mail to you this morning.... They were in our Sunday paper.

I'm getting my haircut on Thursday, I'm growing out my bangs so I need my hairdresser to show me what I should do with them. I've had them for the last 17 years so I figured it's time for something new

Ironic, same here! When you find out what to do with them, let me know! I rather hate the side sweep thing, and am tempted just to trim them so they lay normally as bangs again.

Wish DD good luck for me, please. Final grades come out Thursday so we will see if all my studying paid off!

Most likely! I seriously think that my friends from school will kill me if I don't go through with the whole growing out my bangs thing ;) They have been trying to get me to do it all year and I've finally given in. They are long enough right now to do as side bangs. I don't think it looks good but they tell me it looks nice, I think it will just take some getting use to!

(I don't like the side thing on me, either) I bet it looks great on you, though. I am noticing that NO ONE has bangs anymore (at least not the Hollywood elite!)

Aww thanks anyway  I was able to get discount tickets at AAA

I will. They are long enough at this point to sweep to the side. But, I am so used to having full bangs that I just can't get used the the new look. I'm hoping that it will grow on me overtime.

Tonight is DD14's choral concert
she already left with a friend, so DH and I don't have to sit and wait forever....

she went wearing my skirt and my NEW boots I haven't even worn yet
(clearance for NEXT year for ME was my thought.....)

It became sunny
and I just beckoned DD11 out of the pool
so I can get ready to concert-a-go-go

Friday is to be delightful in PA :thumbsup2

We pretty much got the deal of a lifetime! My mom takes a yearly trip to Vegas with my Aunt and is always getting offers for free nights at all the hotels. Well yesterday Dad got an offer from Carnival (remember our cruise in January) for 2-4 free nights in a suite at the Venetian. Mom looked through all her saved offers and found a great one for the Flamingo. So we researched airfare and found decent prices. Dad and I are staying in the Bella Suite at the Venetian and Mom and my Aunt are staying at the Flamingo all for FREE!! Plus Mom has a bunch of coupons for free buffets and she has tons of points to use for food at the hotel so we're eating for free too :woohoo:

I am especially excited because Dad and I are going to the Grand Canyon! I found a great tour and got a fantastic price. Here are the details:

We ended up not going to Cedar Point on Friday. There was an 80% chance of rain with a high of 65. So we decided to go to a local amusement park and we had a great time. The weather was perfect. We're going to Cedar Point this Friday so cross your fingers the weath is nice :thumbsup2

As of right now we most likely won't be going to Disney in January, unless we get a really awesome deal. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but I won't be too upset if we don't get to go. I'm planning to study abroad next summer so that will give me something to look forward to.

I will double cross my fingers for you this Friday!

It is DS's birthday today. We have had family camping out here since Friday (and it RAINED alll day yesterday, ugh!) Today is sunny...but everyone is heading back home.

Our pool heater is leaking and DH thinks it is headed for the scrap pile....

Our gutter is leaking into the dining room if it rains a lot (at least we THINK that is the cause).

We are not having a good year with water issues:scared1:

Your Grand Canyon tour sound nice, Snow.
We have been to Vegas and the Canyon with the kids. It is hot. Very Hot. (In case you didn't realize that!)

Of course, my kids liked these things about Vegas:
the roller coaster at NY NY
the slingshot drop ride on the roof of the Stratosphere
the indoor amusement park inside Circus, Circus
the floating boat ride (at the Venetian, I believe)

is it any wonder we go to Disney?

They did NOT like Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon (go figure)

I am ready for a nap after all the family fun we have been having.

I have three brothers, and all of them were here with their families, plus my mom and DH's parents, and my grandparents. Plus rain, rain, rain.

8 year old nephew discovered DS's razor, and cut a small section of his hair (on the side, knicked his nose, and cut his finger!) Why he didn't stop after one cut is beyond me!!! No other calamaties. ;)

We went to Vegas as a family 6 years ago, but from what I hear a lot has changed. I know that it will be VERY hot but I'm looking forward to lounging by the beautiful pool for most of the day :beach: It isn't a very long trip but I am going to look for some fun things for Dad and I to do on the strip.
