We need a restaurant idea for either Epcot, Downtown Disney or Resort. We have a party of 5 adults and 2 small children ages 5 & 2. We would like a nice dinner thats enjoyable for the adults, as well as entertaining for the kids. PLEASE HELP!

:confused3

In DTD you can go to the Rainforest Cafe, for a resort meal I would recommend Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge, in Epcot it all depends on what kind of food your family will enjoy there are a lot of countries to pick from.

Chef Mickey's? It's in the Contemporary and is a buffet. I took a large group with 1 small child there and everyone was very pleased. We were there for breakfast that time, but we've also done the dinner there and it is pretty good as well. It's also just a monorail ride away from Epcot.
I might also suggest O'hana. There are a lot of activities there and it is all you can eat as well. The food is fantastic. The kids are asked to play games and sing along.

If you are looking for a character meal - Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort gets my vote.

Also, Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge is a lot of fun. Good food too!!

Chef Mickeys would be great good food for the adults characters for the kids.. Rainforest Cafe is another good one alot for the kids to look at, I like the food there also. Beirgarten in Germany is a buffett that everyone can find something on, and I have heard many familys enjoying Rose and Crown in UK as well/ Oh and then Garden Grill is also a character meal that adults enjoy as well.. There really is so much. My family enjoys Ohanas at the Poly..

Another vote for Whispering Canyon cafe! My kids loved this place, and the food is good too! They have the BEST cornbread! We also do Chef Mickeys when we are there(for breakfast). The kids like this one too! Can't go wrong with having breakfast with Mickey and friends!!!

My family loves Garden Grill. It is a nice quiet restaurant with great food. We think it's the best character meal is WDW.

Our favorite is Rainforest Cafe at DTD the kids love it. (9 nephews and our 18 month old) we eat at the one in Baltimore all the time. I have herd good things about the Garden Grill in Epcot but have never eaten there. We enjoy Rose and Crown usually with a viewing of illuminations after our meal. We will genrally eat early then wander over to France for some dessert and watch the show from there. Good luck.

In Epcot, Coral Reef gets my vote. It is a beautiful, relaxing place for adults and endless fun for the kids. My boys were mesmerized by the fish and divers swimming beside our table. We all loved the food too!!

We just made an ADR for Coral Reef, and we have a 3 & 4 year old. I thought the fish could keep them mesmerized for hours. :sunny:

The Biergarten in Germany in Epcot is also fun - great food and the band is very entertaining and there is a dancefloor area for the kids to go down and dance around. There were quite a few kids dancing their little hearts out last time we were there.

In DTD my kids love Rainforest and they really liked Wolfgang Puck Cafe. At Wolfgang the food is really good for both adults AND kids and the atmosphere is fun for both also.

Also in Dec we ate a House of Blues and my kids 9, 7, and 3 (at the time) really, really liked it. It's a fun place and the service was great. Also a place both kids and adults can enjoy.

In Epcot, I'd say Coral Reef for the family. Also Le Celliar and San Angel Inn are both good choices. The atmosphere at San Angel is especialy fun, my kids loved the volcano and the people going by in the boats.

It's Disney World! Nothing but family restaurants as far as the eye can see!

Seriously you would probably do fine in most WDW restaurants. But the recommendations of Garden Grill in Epcot (our favorite) and Rainforest Cafe in DTD are good ones. We also like House of Blues in DTD.

My second pick in Epcot would be Akershus. It's a princess meal and may be hard to get. Norwegian food is not for everyone, but if you like seafood it's wonderful!

As you don't say which resort (and there are like 23) it's hard to pick a resort restaurant from the many choices.
