Hi, all.
I was in California on business, a couple of colleagues and I decided to spend an afternoon in DL... I'm so glad we did!
We weren't sure if we'd get to go, and since we hadn't rented a car, not sure how we would get there from our hotel in Costa Mesa. This is what made the visit even more fun!
We asked the hotel the best way to get there, and not being so helpful, the said a taxi that would cost $50 each way! This wasn't an option. So... we got resourceful. Instead, we took the hotel's free shuttle back to the airport (John Wayne) and then picked up a $10 shuttle that took us directly to the park gate. It was great!
I had never been to DL before, only DLCalifornia Adventure... I was NOT disappointed! We did Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion (which was all decked for the Holidays a la Nightmare Before Christmas)... Buzz Lightyear, Winnie the Pooh and SM (the new changes were great... it is now set to music!).
We had a wonderful afternoon! To get back to our hotel, we took the monorail to the Disneyland Hotel, and then took a cab back to the airport (about $12)... then picked up the free hotel shuttle back.
It was a great day... and getting there was pretty simple...
