Impressions after riding Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

It's very smooth, way way way better than BTMRR.

There might be a slight jerk as you start and stop but if you keep your head back you shouldn't feel much.

It is very smooth. It is a nice, but short, family ride - it is the replacement for Snow White's Scary Adventure dark ride after all. But if you are looking for thrills, expect to be disappointed.

BTMRR is supposed to be jerky - it is a runaway mine train after all ;) That's what makes it fun, IMO, especially at night! :cool2:

SDMT, if thought as a family ride is not bad, if thought as a coaster......:confused3

It was a great family coaster, the theming over the top excellent.

The lines in October were over a hour every time. This is already a Disney classic.

I remember the very same thing being said about Under the Sea - now it's simply blended into the background and is a virtual walk on.

Everyone has a opinion. Under the Sea has its problem in what was left out, hopefully the changes coming will make it what is should be.

We had pretty good crowd days at MK in October, the lines was never less then 30 minute for under the sea.

Interesting. Right now the wait time for 7DMT is 60 minutes, Space Mountain is 45; Under the Sea is 20.

OK......your point?..30 minutes we had.....now 20 for under the sea.................60 minutes on 7DMT generally matchs what we had.............you really think 1 snap shot of on line times, which are highly questionable anyway, is a total/fair representation???

OK......your point?

That wait times for that attraction are falling. Checked several days last week and more often than not Disney's own posted wait time never exceeded 20 minutes throughout a day.

I equate wait times with popularity, and compared to your observations the month prior, it seems the popularity of Under the Sea is diminishing over time.

My original comment was that 7DMT is seeing the sort of "new" interest that Under the Sea did when it first opened, and now typical wait times for Under the Sea have dropped dramatically.

That was my point.

Really......you expected anything different for Under the sea??........its still not near a walk on, not when Space Mountain is only45 minutes and Under the sea 20 and with the things that were never put into the attraction, of course its not going to be where it was when the NFL opened....no secret there. The better test will be after the changes are made.

As to 7DMT its a much better and top of the line attraction, but we will both have to wait is see if 7DMT is anything but a classic.......

This. Great family ride. If you are expecting a roller coaster experience with 7DMT you will be disapointed. We enjoyed it for what it is. A mellow ride.:hippie:

We rode three times using FP+ on our trip in late October. It is smooth and mellow I guess. The slowing down part, inside the mountain is the most "Disney" of the ride. It is a nice, easy coaster with a classic Disney "dark ride" component. Great for families. We, as two adults, most enjoyed the "dark ride" part. It was classic and classy. The coaster was more of a family ride and not very coaster like for us.

After reading the posts here I was really surprised by everyone calling this ride a coaster. From the pics I have seen and the name of the ride, I expected it to be just what the people are describing. A fun and visual train ride. Am I alone here.We have not been to WDW since 11-2013 but are looking forward to 11-2015
