Important: NEW * Updated Refillable Mug Swap List w/ PICS!*

I would then recommend washing with the oatmeal soap from the room!!!

Which you can find on the maid's cart..since you are staying at the All Stars and you can't use your Mickey soup, because you are selling it on eBay!

Sorry it took me so long to post a picture of the mugs I have. Since I actually only bought 1 mug from Disney I thought I should wash the rest. I bought the remaining ones at Goodwill. I was just keeping them as a collection (in my attic per DH, he thought they looked cheesey displayed in the kitchen:rolleyes: )but now I see I can put them up for trade::yes:: .

Anyhow on this washing idea - I hiked 10 miles round trip into town (uphill both ways, in a blizzard and having no boots I had to wear bread bags on my feet) just to buy some of that soap stuff that's been talked about. Then I had to hike another 2 miles to the pond, crack a few layers of ice and only then did I have access to that water stuff. I hope you all appreciate my hard work!

So you can see from the picture what I have for trade. I forgot to put in a picture of the popcorn / family sized drink cup. It's in the tub right now so I'm not sure what it's been exposed to. And I also didn't put in my coffee mug and drinking glasses since we're only talking about refillable mugs here.

Forgot - I don't have any bread bags left after using my only 2 for boots, sorry. :(

don't understand why that is a problem...did you get holes in them or something? i mean I'm sure you had socks on!

thought of a great substitute..daughter works at a horse " hospital" and can get an unlimited supply of latex gloves, just used once, for usually colic ( colon) surgery....any one who want some pm me and I 'll send them right over.

OH FOR PETE'S SAKE, JAN!!!

That's just gross! I had a colonoscopy last week and I lifted a half dozen latex gloves from the operating room. If anyone needs latex gloves for soft drinks at Disney, puhleeeeze PM me....these have never been used.

My gosh, what some of you will do for free stuff!

Well, um, see this is embarrrassing ... my feet got sweaty on those hikes and I didn't save any soap to wash out those bread bags. They've been compromised:eek:

Hey I just realized that when I was to Disney in 2001 I had bought my son a helium Mickey/Minnie balloon. Well, I still have it, sans the helium of course. If you cut a slighty larger opening then you could put that right up to the fountain and get a huge serving of soda. It might even last a couple of days!!:teeth:

Any traders?

Warning: Do not use "Wonder" mug without training!!!

I bought one of those great, collapsible Wonder mugs off eBay and it arrived without instructions. I thought it was like one of those pouch drinks and stuck my straw in. With all the dots, I can't find the hole and now the mug leaks. Do you think there's a warranty?

More mugs are coming. I have just contacted custodial staff at each of the resorts. They all promise to stay over one hour each day to dumpster dive for disgarded mugs. As they retrieve them, they will hose them off and I will post pictures on the site. Any food/condiment by products attached will cost extra for shipping.

Okay. Does anyone have an e-mail address to complain about the custodial and concierge staff over at the Animal Kingdom Lodge? After reading Prince Eric's great post, we realized that if we went down to WDW for the weekend, we could probably get enough mugs to pay for concierge rooms for the weekend. Between the mugs and the four course meals they serve buffet style in the concierge lounge, we figured that we would be set.

Everything was fine when we checked in. The room was great for the 7 of us (we hid two of the kids in suitcases - thank goodness they're still small enough!). DH and I had a queen bed, we put two kids in each bunkbed, head to toe, and Bubba Jr. slept in the tub. He said it was more comfortable than his bed back home.

Well, I went to the concierge desk, and asked them if the could contact the custodial staff to get us some dumpster dive mugs. After all, it's the job of the concierge staff to meet our every whim. Believe it or not, HE REFUSED!!!!!!! He acted like he had never heard about the dumpster-diving-for-mugs policy. :headache: I had the boys ask 6 different custodians for mugs, and they all insisted that they didn't have any. I think that they're just hording them, and selling them on E-Bay themselves. It's just not right.

So... I don't have any refillable mugs, but I do have 3 trays of slightly mashed desserts from our concierge stay that I'd be willing to trade for 7 mugs (ummm.... better make that 8- Bubba Sr. was a little frisky on Valentine's Day:lovestruc )

I thought my Mom was the only one who used Wonder Bread bags as snow boot liners! It's nice to know someone else got that "bread baking" smell when they came inside from playing and took off their boots!:teeth:

sorry you had such a problem with AKl. we feel it has really gone down hill lately

email addy is isuedisney@getcomped.com

a hint we always used for the kids in the suitcase when ours were small enough ( brings back some great memories!)we bought them the cute little character head straws..they loved them so much they didn't mind the dark ( although for some reason both are highly claustrophobic now and refuse to go on Mission Space) and could breathe very easily . we of course made sure the straws only extended about 2 inches outside the suitcase and no one ever questioned us.

the desserts sound good but I am on WW and can only eat ramen noodles ( see "applicance" thread)

Now only serious offers will apply.

I am afraid 4 " x2" is worthless for either intended usage of boots or refills . although the bread inside does have some appeal, the bag just does not appear to be capable of holding the mass quantities of liquid refreshment necessary to qualified as a "bonified" refill mug.

I feel so left out! I have never thought to get one of the mugs. so maybe I should get one on our next trip. ---but that kinda defeats the "freebe" issue at hand.
What do ya'll think of a Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket? It's large, sturdy, durable, and would fall under the family size catagory.
Would that be too much? Too bread sack-isk? or would anyone notice, to you think?
I'm just afraid of being talked about. Do you think they'd notice?
:wave2:

My youngin outgrew her rain boots. They are purtty cute too. I think I can get some of that there 'soap' stuff I here tell of on this here board, and I bet ya they'll clean up right nice. Sos the way I figures it, I gots me a spare. Course I could be wrong, I never was so good at figuerin'. But if'n I does, an' anyone gots something good to trade, we can make us a right nice deal real quick like.

last time we were there the CMs were busy cleaning the toasters most days although I actually heard one swear once while doing so !(which I immediately reported and I assume was cause for suspension) they were so busy they didn't notice much of anything .Isn't it amazing how clean that place is? btw see my great recipe for hot lunches on the appliance thread. so I do not think your KFC family sized refillable mug would be a problem at all

I can only imagine what would they say when they realized that I started a bonfire in my room to roast suckling pig and sang "Kumbaya" with other resort guests the night before.

fat cow : how touching ! isn't that what disney is all about?thanks for the magic moment!

What about a Fleet enema bottle? It would come with it's own built-in straw.
