Important: NEW * Updated Refillable Mug Swap List w/ PICS!*

I love the staff workers at Disney. They are always so eager to please. What a nice gesture of them to dumpster dive for our soft drink needs.

Ewwwww! Prince Eric! That's GROSS! :earseek:

Yep ... tea all over my computer screen here at work :p Doris, I especially LOVED the pic of your dh with the mugs/map. My co-workers affectionately refer to me and my 3 sisters as "the freakish four" because they just truly believe that we are the only Dis-freaks in the world. I've tried to explain to them that I have about 55000 close Dis-freak friends

Someone stole my dh's All Star mug at his work -- and if I thought they took it 'cause they were actually going, and were going to make good use of it, I'd be OK with it. :teeth:

no one else wants to do mug swap? it's cheaper than buying used mugs from eBay! (although I have to admit that it's more expensive than just using self-decorated bread bags! :teeth:

ahh, just a suggestion but I might NOT recommend this particular thread to them...if they thought you were a little "off " before, this would clinch it.

I have a lovely popcorn....errr, I mean family sized mug with a sparkling red lid (it would be very easy to drill a hole in it) up for trade.

It has only been used three times to change the oil in the car. However, I am sure that has not "compromised its integrity" in anyway! :jester:

but Disneymom3,

by doing so, aren't you worry about the safety of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride?

They're gonna sell it on eBay, I bet.

Well, there is that! The guilt might outweigh any possible benefit.

Of course, I have recently come to the conclusion that selling anything on ebay must mean you are literally stealing from the company you originally bought the item from as it makes them unable to sell a new one to another consumer. (Shhhh, no one tell C.Ann--she will be heartbroken!) So now I have guilt about all of the money I have made.

it could be but I recently read that some All Star refillable mugs have been stolen to be used in connection with Satanic rituals so guard those mugs!

Are all of you people crazy!!!! Why waste good, hard earned disney budgeted dollars on a mug or even a second-hand bread bag? Well my friends, just tip your little head under the soda machine spout and letter' rip! Walla, no cup or related mechanism necessary, no pesky germs from reused resort cups! Then, you could use the money saved to buy your 11 year old DD a child's admission ticket! There are savings everywhere!
(Just the thought brings happy tears to my budget-conscious psyche)

Hmmm....I thought it was a drug smuggling ring that was involved in these thefts. So beware if yours has been purchased from unknown sources. You will definitely want to take advantage of that soap mechanism some on this thread seem so fond of!

Sorry if Im a little late with the swap. We have never stayed on site to be able to be a part of the Fantastic mug debate. But I have 3 Bronx zoo Soda mugs and they are for free refills I swear I saw the sign somewhere. I have 2 blue starbucks mugs and they are also refillable ( well they were 2 years ago but heck who's paying attention anyway) So if any one wants to trade I would kill for a bread bag to fill when I sneak into a disney resort while parking at a different resort. Where I will be smelling up the room with my deep fryer and crockpot...

Please people, be civilized here. The signs only say that the mugs expire, it doesn't say anywhere that you must use one. I, for one, now skip buying and swapping the mugs and have my family drink straight from the fountain. I make sure they get a nice tight seal and push the button. I have to lift my youngest, but its worth it to save a few bucks. The best part is, I'm not breaking any rules by using expired mugs and I never have to clean the old ones.:teeth:

Alright! We've just reached a new low! Yaaay! :teeth:

Yay, what do I win for being the lowest so far. A mug, a bread bag. Hey, how about a colonstomy (sp) bag so I can fill it with soda and claim its medically related? (oops, think I just went lower):p

I will do the following with my S/D mugs - they will be wrapped in a blue WM bag and tied from the 3rd board in on the dock on the north side. Depth will be set at 8 feet, so the tallest one in the family will have to dangle Junior over the edge to grab them. I would then recommend washing with the oatmeal soap from the room!!!
