Important Chicken Wing question. . .

I used to live outside of Buffalo as a kid and have been back to visit since my little brother is still there. The wings there are really good! But the wings here in South Jersey, at certain places, are better.

Wings need to be tossed before serving. I guess it's a matter of preference, but I've had decent wings at Applebee's since it's not just soaking in sauce from the time it left a factory.

Some pizza places have something that's ready made and just reheated. The problem isn't being soggy, but dry. The sauce is already dried out.

Hooter's is where we go when we want wings. We order a platter of 50 and the 4 boys go to town. They are REALLY good. We have a place here called The D-Spot that is where people go. Yum. I don't eat meat off the bone, typically, but when the mood and the beer right just right, I can throw down on some wings!!

Beer. . . is there anything it can't do?

I live in Buffalo and actually think Buffalo Wild Wings' wings are the closest to true buffalo wings of any chain restaurants I have tried. We enjoy them and think the different sauces and dry rubs are a nice change of pace from the traditional buffalo wings you can find anywhere here. Pizza Hut, IMO, has the worst buffalo wings of a chain restaurant.

Dominos are horrific too.

Make your own or eat them at the good restaurant (and even then, it's iffy--if the restaurant doesn't get them crispy or lets them sit under the heat lamp too long, they'll be gross). Wings at home are the best. My kids line up (they're adults, but they still do it) with "please mum, I want some more . . ." all Oliver Twist style as they come up. They do that for home tempura too--deep frying is serious business, and in a matter of minutes, the food tastes old.
